I went to this store on 10/20/15 to get my phone exchanged because my camera isn't working properly. I did do a walk in and they got me in. I did this walk in at 2pm and came back at 5:30pm because I was I told I was going to get a text and nothing, so one gentleman was super nice and told me have a seat we will be right with you, cool! He told me 30 minutes later we're with you in a minute so a minute passed by and nothing. I have it time and I still wasn't even approached. I go up to an "apple specialist" and ask him can he verify if I'm still on the list and he completely ignored me until I approached and he ask "what was your question"? I told him I was suppose to be called already because there were people like an hour after me asking if there were walk-ins and were seated too. Those people have passed me already and left. His reply to me "I'm sorry, don't discriminate". Why the hell would you bring that up? He walks around like he is the boss. I went here asking questions about the iPad because I REALLY REALLY want one and was checking out the prices. There wasn't much help because I already knew what I wanted but I still wanted to know more information about the product. The employees weren't that helpful. I'm probably going back to the location closer to my house since they tend to be more helpful. But it's still a pretty good store. I wouldn't say this is the last and only time of going there. Even though they were busy i was able to make my purchase and set up the phone quickly. Whenever I go there I feel like a little kid in a toy store. Went in for an appointment with their genius bar with a problem I was having with my Iphone. I found the person whom checks you in with no problem, but I have been to this location before. I would definitely have to say that if it were my first time here it would be a real issue finding this person as I have seen in other reviews to be a problem. I had to wait about fifteen minutes to be seen which I don't think was that bad. Service from the genius bar was pretty good, no complaints there. It wasn't a bad experience. read more

Nothing to do with the store but more with the general operation of the stores. I came in because the apple representative that helped me over the chat actually messed up my phone more that it was. I came to the store because my phone wouldn't turn on at all & this is the only phone I have. You would think that the store would give priority based on the type of issues you are having. An application not working is not the same as your phone not turning on at all, but yet they treat every issues as equal & it shouldn't be. When you to the emergency room a person having a heart attack takes priority over someone that has a broken finger. This is the way it should work at the apple store as well. Someone who has chipped the screen on a side should not take priority over someone that cannot access the phone at all. So if I were able to give negative stars I would definitely do it. I hope I don't ever have to come back and the only reason I have an iPhone is because it's a work phone. read more

I bought Apple Care, because they assured me they would repair or replace. After 18 months, my macbook air's screen was shot and so was my keyboard. I live in Aruba, but am in Miami a few times a year, I got an appointment, waited a long time in store for my appointment... it is always chaotic in this store... to then be told that my screen and keyboard need to be replaced but they don't' have the parts. it could take 3 weeks to get it fixed. well, that is of course not reasonable. They refused to replace it. Said "MacBooks" are not replaced. Well, I know that is not true because I know of cases where they have. So back home I went with my defective laptop, certain to never buy Apple Care again and certain to not go to the store in Dadeland ever again (after buying 2 laptops, 3 iPads, and 2 iPhones there). I've owned Apple products for most of my life. Everything from MacBooks, iPhones, Apple Watch, Apple TV etc. I currently have the iPhone 8 Plus, and it is said to be water resistant as advertised. On Fourth of July, it fell in the pool for literally less than ten seconds and I took it out. Mind you, I've used previous "water resistant" phones under water even, and I've never had a problem. This phone, started glitching a few days after the incident, to the point that it shut off. I immediately took it to the Apple store, and I do not have Apple Care (a mistake from my part in retrospect). When the Apple care specialist hears "water damage" they completely refuse to help you even slightly with your phone and their solution is immediately to replace it, which could cost $499. You would think such a rich company would be more compassionate for their customers. The specialist basically convinced me that there wasn't a chance my phone would turn on again. The wait to speak to someone was longer than the time he spent with my phone. Literally a day later, my phone turned on again and went back to working as it was before falling in the water. I was so close to purchasing a new phone and I'm overall so disappointed with their lack of compassion and the fact that they advertise a product is "water resistant" but refuse to fix it if there's any evidence of water damage. read more

Extremely disappointed with apple customer service. After waiting in their Dadeland, Miami FL store last night for over 3 hours I walked away without a solution all due to their own negligence. I purchased the Apple care maintenance plan and switched my phone once due to not working properly. Apparently the staff member who did the exchange a year ago did not linked the two serial #. As a result it now appears as I am no longer covered by the plan. Is it possible that they cannot backtrack transactions? Or did they simply did not want to help and charge me for a new phone. Today i dropped my perfectly working iPhone 3GS and I had no sound, no ringer, no one could hear me when I called them, and no functioning home button. How frustrating!!! I took it immediately to the apple store, since they are the ones that hold the knowledge... in Dadeland Mall...waited about an hour or so...everyone was very attentive and nice but still a long wait. I was finally attended to an hour later. The guy helping me looked at my phone heard my story of what had actually happpened to my phone all he could say is that my phone had water damage and that was the main problem. How he got that conclusion from just looking at it with a flashlight... I dont know. He must have "failing" x ray vision. The problem is though...that i never dropped it in water ever!!!! He didnt even bother to open the phone or do any troubleshooting on the phone. What a waste of time!!!! He said that he couldnt open it and couldnt change any parts if anything was damaged. That the only remedy he could give me was to get a new phone and get a new plan. I wasnt convinced!!! if I was stupid and actually listened to his ending result which was to get a new phone I would be out $300. That was his only final answer. So...ladies and gents!!! I went to Youtube and opened up my phone and realized that the Charging port was not connected on one side due to the fall...followed this youtube gurus instructions and fixed my phone in no less than 20 minutes!!! wow!!! They give you an appointment for 4 hours later but don't honor the appointment. They really can't tell you when you will be helped. I have spent all day trying to get my $750 defective phone fixed. First experience with the Genius Bar. I had been on the phone with Apple customer service trying to get an appointment a few days before only to hear that there were absolutely no appointments available for the next week and a half at any Apple Store near me, and my best bet was to walk in and hope for a short wait time. So I knew it would be a long wait. What I didn't expect was a group of maybe 25 people waiting for the store to open on a THURSDAY morning. The staff expected it though, and opened the store with lots of energy and enthusiasm, which I thought was excellent. So I waited in line to make a walk in appointment, then waited some more for them to text me that they were ready to see my issue, then waited some more for them to replace the broken part. Overall the visit was about 3 hours, with about half an hour being my fault for not having backed up my phone before I got there. I went in with a faulty phone and prepared for a long wait, and left with a working phone, so I'm good! Again the attitude of the employees helped to keep my experience a positive one. read more

If there is ever a store with bad communication, this is it. I purchased a Mac for my husband as a surprise birthday gift and specifically asked the "genius" that helped me with the sale to ONLY call me if they needed anything regarding this specific sale. Being that he is in the IT profession and we own several Apple products, he had an account with them. This purchase was linked to his account and I explained he would decide if he wanted to purchase anything extra after he receives his gift which would be 2 weeks after the purchase date. She clearly documented all this information in the notes in their system to make sure everything would go smoothly with the surprise. The day after the purchase, at 10:20am I receive a call from one of their "specialists" who tells me that she made a huge mistake by calling my husband first to inform him he is eligible for the new IOS since he just purchased a Mac. Obviously he did not know what she was talking about (he hadn't received his birthday gift yet) and as she was talking to him she took a moment to read the notes which the "genius" had so clearly written about calling me only & that it's a surprise gift for him, etc. At this point it was too late. She ruined my surprise and then called to tell me about it. I understand mistakes can happen, however if you can not follow simple instructions as reading the special notes on an account which is a part of your daily duty then you should not be working here. We've never made another major purchase at this store again. The Apple Store at The Falls is where we shop or schedule service appointments. Better service all around and less wait time. read more
