This Apple store has to be hands down the worst customer service and the most inept managers I've ever come in contact with. I came in with an issue on my phone we switched out the phone lost most of my contacts and a ton of pictures. You asked to speak to the manager and he's as bad as the rest. I had to come in numerous times and still have issues with a phone I paid $1400 dollars for. And then you call customer service and end up back we're you started. I don't write negative reviews. I like to give people and businesses the benefit of the doubt. Anyone can have a bad day I get it. But this was far beyond. Here is my experience, I hope not yours: I took my laptop in because it crashed. (Mind you I run my business on this so that time is of the essence). They tell me it will be fixed 24 hours. Mind you I ask them if they have all the parts there so that no matter what they find they can fix it promptly. The "genius"* said yes. *NOTE: the term genius should be re-evaluated They call me later on that day saying that the hard drive is busted and they need to order the cable and hard drive...and it can take up to a week to get the part, WTF! 3-4 days later I get an email that the computer is done, yeah. I go pick it up. It seems to be working fine. I take it home and when trying to restore my setting through the time machine it doesn't work. I am on the phone for about 4 hours for 2 days with apple care before they say that something is wrong with the computer and I need to take it in...AGAIN. I return and see another "genius" who informs me that the new hard drive that I just paid $180 for is faulty. He is actually very nice and says he will take care of it; add a new hard drive and retest the computer and it will be ready 9AM next day. (He also said for my trouble he is going to upgrade my OS to the new mountain lion - cool). Next morning I show up desperate to get my computer and get back to work. I speak to another "genius" which is kind of rude and gives me attitude saying that it is not ready and they are still testing it. That it should be ready in 3-4 hrs. Mind you this is 9am. 3-4 hrs is 1pm. At 5pm I call again because I still have not received a call. The gentlemen on the phone says that my laptop is still being tested. That I should receive a call later that night or the next morning...really? At 9:30am I call again and the girl I speak to says that it is ready but the test is showing that the RAAM is faulty... really? After all this time now it is showing up that the RAAM is not working but they can't touch it because it is 3rd party RAAM. I go pick it up and explain my experience with the manager. He informs me that there is nothing he can do. It is just what the test shows. At this point I am trying to control my anger because he asks if I want them to test for certain if the RAAM is faulty. (What the heck have they been doing for the past 24hrs+?) I explain that this is the first I have heard of this. He informs me that spontaneous RAAM combustion is normal...WTF? I am obviously frustrated and venting. I not judging the worth or the quality of these apple employees. I am sure they are great people but from a customer point of view they dropped the ball big time. I am disappointed because I had referred plenty of friends and family to them. Summary to conclude this rant: - Very disappointed and frustrated customer - Computer that still doesn't work properly - Revenue loss on personal business due to all the wasted time with "support" - Oh yeah, no upgrade to Mountain Lion OS. ALWAYS PACKED. Please come here with a whole lotta patience because you will need it. Mind you, the staff here is actually friendly but you will have to wait to be able to speak with one of them. Though they didn't solve my problem at all and the guy just stood there, he at least gave me some advice on what to do. Waiting a half hour for an appointment made days in advance is typical at a doctor's office. At an Apple store, where there are numerous employees standing around chatting with each other in groups of 3&4 seems a little much. The Genius Bar employee that finally assisted me was courteous and thorough. If they can do a better job at managing their account representatives and be more sensitive to customers needs and impressions, my rating goes up. While the employees are plentiful, they don't really approach you when you want to check out...just when you need help answering inane questions. Horrible customer service! I went in to buy a new phone and was told that they would give me $250 trade-in for my old phone. I could not trade-in on the day because i had to backup my phone first. I was told to come back within 14 days and we will honor that quote. I came back 2 days later and the quote was not honored. For one thing and probably the worst is that you have to wait in a line that was 25 feet long just to ask if they phone you want is in stock. Who has time for such nonsense. It would be much better if they simply had a list of the phones available so you could check the list, and it the phone you want isn't in stock, you could just go home instead of waiting in line only to be told the phone you want is not available. I was a bit apprehensive of this location based on previous reviews. I showed up a little early for my appointment and was greeted at the door and quickly directed to the person checking in appointments. My appointment was for 6:45 and was seated speaking to a Genius Bar tech at 6:45. She was extremely professional and listened to my concerns and addressed them. By 7:00 my phone was in the back being repaired and was told it would be an hour. Came back at 8:00 and my phone was ready and was functioning perfectly. So despite others experiences I can say mine was excellent and the service was what I am accustomed to having when dealing with Apple. read more

When comparing this Apple store to the one at the Falls, this one is by far the best one! I bought an IPhone at the Falls and had trouble with the center button practically every since I walked out. I've been back twice and they always "repaired" the issue. Bull. Finally, I came to the this store (Dadeland mall) thinking they were going to do the same. Yet, once I mentioned my problem and my frustration, before I knew it, I was getting a brand new phone! Their attention was impeccable -don't think you can sign in and go to another store b/c they have ppl watching, and they put you on hold until you come back. And what I really enjoyed was that even though the place was a madhouse with people everywhere, once you're talking to a rep, they hear you out and best of all HELP you. Out of all the Apple stores that I have been to, this one by far is the best. Had to take mf gf's 5 year old Mac to get checked, made an appointment, and didn't have to wait to long in the store. Once the tech saw us, he diagnosed the problem and even when he thought he had solved the issue ran other checks on the machine before sending us on our way with a free new power cord. On all other occasions that I have been there, the staff has been really friendly and very quick in helping me even though the store is literally packed. read more

WOW this is the WORST apple store I have ever been to. The workers here really have no clue what they are talking about when it comes to computers or anything technology related. I know they have different levels of "knowledge" and assign colored shirts to the employees but DAMN. I think the only job requirement to work here is the ability to operate an iPod. I have overheard some sales people here trying sell people a bunch of unnecessary hardware/software to customers, the blind leading the blind. This store has good merchandise just idiots selling it. Went in last week without an appointment due to my battery not getting any charge. The lightning bolt would show as if it were charging, but hours later...still dead. I was told I had to wait and the next available spot was in 3 hours. No problem. I patiently waited. Finally my turn to be seen. Guy takes my phone to the back and all of a sudden he says that he doesn't see the lightning bolt. Weird. So he gives me two options: option 1 buy a new phone or Option 2: buy a new phone. I asked him if it was just the battery and he replied "it could be but that I was better off just getting a new phone since the battery may go again" unfortunately my warranted had expired about 10 days before I was there. I have heard how they are usually good with helping out customers and keeping them happy and I feel like I got neither. Although, they were nice the whole time. To make a long story I fixed the phone for a third of the price elsewhere and traded that little bitch in (not at apple). One of the phones on our plan was due for a renewal and got a new one. After they fixed it, I could have kept it, but with the trade in,I paid for the new phone. They get 2 stars because they were actually friendly and the store is pretty cool inside. read more

I love Apple and always have but even much more now when I walked into this store and was immediately greeted and helped even without an appointment that's just how effective the staff is.
