Yeah, it's not the best location but in the pinch of time it definitely comes in handy. Apple had a deal basically offering to replace the battery on iPhone 7's before the end of the year and since I usually wait until last minute for everything-I found myself with a last minute appt here to have it replaced. There's something about AppleStores they I never can fully understand. Why are they always packed? Like even if the new iPhone came out 8 months ago-there's always a bunch of people holding and carrying it in pure marvel and awe of such thing. Dude, it's a phone! Literally, I don't get it. Other reviewers have said staff at this store lie. Believe them. They lied to me too. The floor staff give different answers to the same question, depending on which person you ask. And even worse, each claims they have the "correct" answer. The leads are even worse. Arrogant, condescending, dismissive of the customer. Horrible customer service. I have a 5 month old Apple Smart Keyboard 3rd Generation, for iPad Pro , that only gets casual use at my home. The print of the keys are wearing off on the left side of the keyboard, after just a few months of owning it. The store manager said he has a degree in biochemistry, and said my hands have acid that causes it to occur. I asked why the left side has the problem, not the right, and he shrugged his shoulders. I would have been pleased, if the manager just told me, or Apple made it public knowledge, that the keys are printed on fabric in such a way that they rub off with use, unlike other keyboards on the market. The store manager would not honor the warranty for a manufactured defect, b/c i have my left hand producing acid that causes a cosmetic issue, from regular wear and tear.--the store does not cover wearing away of keys on keyboards. Thankfully an Apple Senior advisor that does not work at the store did honor the warranty, saying she has never seen such a thing occur to a keyboard. I should do like Michael Jackson and wear one glove, so when typing I can prevent my one 'acidic' hand from causing keyboard damage. To make my experience even worse with the store, after I was told my warranty will be honored, I returned to the store to find out they only had one 'replacement keyboard' in stock, and it was reserved for someone else. The store had multiple 'new' keyboards on the shelf for sale, but the clerk said those keyboards cannot be used to replace my keyboard. The replacement keyboards are new keyboards, so this logically makes no sense. So the store had to order me a new one, and watch me walk out of their store without a new keyboard, despite them having keyboards sitting right on the shelf. I will have to return to pick up my replacement at a later date. The Apple store is a 1 hr drive from my home. So, to get the keyboard replaced will have taken 6 hours of my time driving, and time and headaches explaining to Apple employees that it is not normal for a keyboard to have its keys wear off after 5 months of casual use, and should be covered under warranty, as their warranty covers manufacture defects--I.e. poor design or poor production from the manufacturer. read more

I cannot express how much I dislike the crowd in this Apple store. They surround the tables just to take selfies and log into all their social media pages to post them. If you are new to Apple, I highly suggest visiting another store so you actually get a chance to test some things out. If you already know what you want, order online and pick-up here. I walked up to the first Apple floor associate who wasn't speaking to another customer and he was immediately able to draw up my order. That was the assistant store manager (Edward, possibly?) and he was amazingly understanding of my (lack of) time. Came to pick up my orders, there Apple security guard told my minor sister to step out of the line and wait for me to finish because she didn't have an order, he argued with me and told me if she didn't step out of the line he was going to take me out of the line. I got upset and he told me if he were to see me outside I would run away from him. After speaking to a manager they told me there was nothing they can do and that Apple hires a third party security, they told me to get back in the line to receive my next order, the second time around the security kept telling me to fix my face and asking me why I am so angry, I ignored him and spoke to a different manger and ask if they could write him up this time, they told me they couldn't do anything and that they are not responsible for him. While I do have and appreciate a few Apple products, those were purchased either on the internet, or in the case of my iPhone, at an AT&T store. On the day I came here I was really only here to browse, but I also thought it would be cool to do what Marcos R. did a few years ago at the Apple store on Lincoln Road and actually log onto Yelp and review the Apple store, using one of their computers, while I'm standing inside said Apple store! Genius!! Well, it was an epic fail. I browsed around the store for a while, then I saw that one of the many pre-teens who was hogging the laptops finally backed away and left. I moved in for the kill, but as soon as I started to log onto Yelp, one of the salespeople came over and asked if she could help me with anything. When I explained that I was just trying out one of the Mac Books, she moved around so she could look at the screen and seemed none too pleased that it appeared to her that I'd obviously just gone there to check my e-mail or take advantage of some free time on one of their computers. This place is a cross between a busy subway station in New York and a Starbucks. It's overcrowded, loud and chaotic. Today's visit was because my iPhone 6s has been malfunctioning. Of course I initially took the phone back to T-Mobile and they told me that this was not their problem but something that I had to deal with directly with Apple. You can't just show up at Apple with a problem you have to book online in advance to get an opportunity to meet with a "Genius Bar" representative aka "a Genius." When I showed up for my 1 o'clock appointment; I was told they were running 20 to 30 minutes late. And apparently, the largest and most sophisticated computer company in the history of mankind had no way of texting or emailing me this--so I just had to wait, like a blister in the sun. And I waited, and waited, and waited. I am a busy MIAMI personal lawyer; and the last thing I want to do is spend my day in a shopping mall waiting to get my phone fixed. I was very annoyed and frustrated by the experience. Finally, after half an hour waiting for my scheduled appointment--I was seen by a very nice guy (Scott the Genius) who fixed my iPhone by replacing it with a new iPhone. And I ended up buying an extended battery for my iPhone. Would I go back? The problem is there's really no alternative and apparently Apple knows this. They did try to be as helpful as they could but I was annoyed that I had a wait for half an hour with a scheduled appointment it took me over a week just to get. I do have a new phone and a new battery so wasn't a total loss but I can think of a lot better ways to spend an hour or two in the middle of the week. read more

Came because my brand NEW Macbook gold would not Turn On/Charge. Already had charged the Macbook all afternoon & nothing. The only solution was to bring the device to the store. They gave me a replacement thanks to Apple Care+ ...but my serial number was no where to be found. Luckily I had my order number! Purchased this on the Apple Store online, seems that Apple.com shipped me a cheaper Macbook. Initially, billed me more than supposed to. The sales rep at the store took his time to revise, and help me and discovered I had been overcharged. Turns out I have a credit with Apple and now I have the better Macbook. This is the worst place in Miami to get your Apple products fixed, the security is unforgivably rude and after interacting with them, you feel bad you even wanted/needed to go there in the first place. Also I sent my MacBook to the service center to get fixed through them, first of all they charged me basically the price of the computer, then they said it would take 3 days and I would get status updates. This was on Thursday and it is now Monday, and customer service at Apple had said that I would receive the computer on Sunday (yesterday). I have received NO status updates and it says they have not even mailed my computer out and I do not even know how to actually talk to a person to see what is happening with my computer. Do NOT go here, honestly if you haven't gotten hooked on the Apple machine just buy an Android or Samsung- or an HP - no matter how 'easy' and attractive you might think Apple's products are, they are not worth the insane prices when you make any mistake (i.e. lose or break something), how bad the service is and the terrible treatment. read more

Went into the store with the expectation to buy an Apple Watch. Customer service excellent as always. I'm aware that in this places you have to wait and be patient. The problem was when the system went down and the called support but they couldn't do anything about it. The manager even offered a discount and the opportunity to come the next day. I ordered an Apple Watch online from the Dadeland store for courier delivery. Everything was great until I received the watch but the band color was not as pictured. Contacted Apple support to exchange the band which is selected and boxed separately. Exchanging in the store is NOT AN OPTION. Sending the band in for an exchange is NOT AN OPTION. My only option is to return the full watch by mail, wait for a refund of the gift cards used then purchase another watch with the desired band. MISERABLE customer service. Very easy to purchase but extremely difficult to exchange. REGRET my purchase, would send it all back had I not asked my family for gift cards. Came because my brand new Apple iPhone 7plus is defective. They told me their first appointment for warranty issues is on Saturday! Today it's Wednesday. So now I have to keep my defective phone. Seems like a defective $1,000 and my ability to work and communicate is not a concern for this company. Apples loves me, I feel the love. Do you? Since the words I wrote above many things happened. I went to the Apple store at The Falls mall early in the morning and even though they attended me, they were horrible and didn't acknowledge the defect. This store use to be the favorite hot spot not sure what happen. Been here twice and the customer service was horrible. Each time they would not fix 3 products I purchase at Dadeland Apple store and I also purchase the insurance. Apple has no feedback options for purchasing issues. When you call apple they tell you to fill out a form online which doesn't exist. We waited for 3 hours in the store to attempt to purchase using a gift card only to be told that we could not pickup accessories on the same day. I purchased the accessories online and was expecting to have them shipped only to be told some of the devices available in the store were unavailable until a month from now. You will love it or you will hate it. Apple gets a TON of flack for their ideologies and style. Frankly, some of it is deserved for thinking way outside of the box. When it comes to the nuts and bolts, their goal is to have a premium customer experience. Many years ago, Gateway 2000 (yes, they had the year listed as part of the company name!) was the first to open retail stores. Unfortunately, they failed due to many unforeseen issues. I feel that it had to do with that they had too many options and customers just couldn't get hooked into the wide variety of products they carried. Fast forward 15 years and you have a modern day Apple Store which learned from the failures of Gateway. Simple clean layouts and setups, limited options, in store or on line, and MANY loyal employees around available to help any customer on any need. Yes, there is a premium price. Yes, there are "limited" options. No, there really aren't many ways to "save" when buying Apple (use a student ID to save something). When you go to other electronics stores, they have dozens of laptops all with different brands and specifications and sizes. Apple (currently) has only two lines of laptops, recently removing the regular MacBook and sticking with only the Pro and Air models. Desktop wise, three (current) options, Mac Mini, Mac Pro, iMac. If you want a computer that has minimal headaches and "just works". There is the way to go. If you don't mind troubleshooting every other day, feel free to go with another brand from another store. Bottom Line: There is no better place for computer shopping of high quality systems. Pro Tip: If you need something fixed, use the concierge service on the Apple website BEFORE you arrive to reserve your appointment! Walk-up spots have to wait a VERY long time. I have heard some people go and become frustrated because the staff has no clue on what they are talking about, but I guess I have gotten lucky and got a staffer who knows Apple products, my questions dealt with the Ipad, the new Iphone, and the laptops I have. I had to return a product, and a young lady helped me out as soon as I walked in. Even though I had to wait a bit since the line was long to get my cash I was helped and a couple of the employees apologized for the wait. Good service, yup! Like most Apple stores, this place is a zoo, but a very friendly zoo. I made an appointment to have my iMac checked out at 3:15. They were pretty busy so I didn't see anyone until about 3:30-3:40. I know many of the bad reviews complain about the store not honoring the appointments but I'd honestly rather have a tech's complete attention without him checking his watch every ten seconds than an efficient but impersonal/unsatisfactory experience. I listened as one of the higher-ups got chewed out by a guy who didn't make an appointment and had little reason to be upset. The guy handled the cranky customer perfectly and went above and beyond to help someone who was being unreasonable and confrontational. Props to him. And thank God for AppleCare. I saved $650! Expect a wait if you plan to go in, especially on the weekends. Otherwise it seems like one of the better Apple Stores. read more

I have always been one of the biggest apple proponents but in recent years the retail customer service has dropped tremendously culminating in my last visit. My cousin lives in Panama and asked if I could bring him a laptop since I will be going there. He ordered it on my account so I could go pick it up. When I get there they tell me I cannot pick it up since its under the card holders name and we don't share a last name even though its on my account so I speak to the manager and he says that my cousin needs to call apple from panama. I told him he can't call apple because its my account so he won't be able to talk to them concerning an order on my account. I logged in and showed him my order, showed him the response email, had my cousin text me his card and ID WITH HIM IN THE PHOTO and offer to FaceTime to show that its actually him live and still the manager said no. What is the point of having a manager there if not to make judgement calls. It was clearly evident that my story completely checks out but whatever he still didn't help out. He said to cancel the order and order it again. So I cancel the order and get my cousin to add his card to my apple pay and then I ask the manager to let me pay for the order like that. He said no because that computer is reserved for online orders so HE COULD NOT SELL ME THE COMPUTER THAT I HAD ALREADY ORDERED. I said fine I am going to place the online order right now can you please make sure its expedited given the fact I am standing in front of you and the current circumstances to which he said he could not because that is handled by the online store. So I place the order anyways from my phone standing with him and then ask him to make sure I can get it. He said I must have missed the alternate pickup field since its more difficult to see on the phone that I had to place it on rather than a computer like it was originally placed on. So he was telling me that I have to do it again... EVEN THOUGH HE WATCHED ME PLACE THE ORDER. HOW MUCH MORE VERIFIED CAN YOU GET?!!!!!!!! At this point I am astonished at the lack of help the manager was giving me as well as the apparent fact that he could not at all use any sort of his judgement to solve problems just like these. What is the point of a manager then? Seriously, why have one that cannot solve advanced or complicated problems? He even had the audacity to look at me and tell me that he's not trying to have me jump through hoops... Yeah ok. I go to order another one with myself listed as the pickup person but at this point my cousins card is getting declined from the 6k in apple charges placed in the past 2 hours so instead I ask my other cousin to come pick it up who has the same last name as him. I leave and my other cousin goes to pick it up with the order number but now the manager is saying that it needs to be the full name of the person. So now I call apple support and have them put my cousin who is at the store down TO AUTHORIZE HIM TO PICK UP AN ORDER I AM NOT EVEN AUTHORIZED TO PICK UP AND IT WORKED. All seems like it is about to be solved when my other cousin who is now authorized is told that the computer is actually not ready and to come back at 3pm tomorrow. I ask him to explain more and he said that is all what is told. The apple store opens in a couple hours. I cannot wait to see why this order could not be picked up after that.. Stay tuned.. I have never had a worse experience in any retail let alone apple which although after declining in recent years has always gone above and beyond for their customers. What a shame. Don't go here if you are expecting great customer service. My girlfriends iPhone began heating up recently, we take it in for repair or exchange, they claimed it was normal. HA I even showed them all the demos were running cool. Her phone gets unusually hot, definitely NOT Normal. Our son was on my phone for 20-30 minutes, I tried handing it to him so he can feel that it WAS not even warm. He refused of course. Thanks Joshua for the horrible service. His idea? Send it in for engineers to take it apart and inspect, which would take 3-5 days with No LOANER phone. REALLY JOSHUA ? That's your solution? We all know how it is at apple, make an appointment to wait for an eternity to be told they "cant find anything" or to send it to headquarters to "fix it" which will take a couple of days if not weeks to then receive a computer demonstrating the same issues. Its just so sad how apple continues to decline and has reached a point where the customer has to go through days of procedures to not get anything fixed, or get it temporarily fixed, until warranty is over and then the customer is forced to buy a new one.
