I'm not going to address any of the "cool" factor things, but the experience today at the Apple store was singularly different than most any other retail shopping experience I've had. I want to add some wireless music around the house, and since these days most of my music is on iTunes, the Airport Express solution seemed tailor-made, especially because it works with PCs. I walked into the store and was greeted by an emo-looking young man of about 25, with a Star Trek-worthy haircut for his bright red-orange hair. He was pleasant, professional, and listened patiently as I explained what I wanted to do and what my home computer set up was. He brought me over to the Airport Express devices, explained how it would work, and asked if I needed anything else. When I said no, he said "OK, let's ring you up then." and I expected him to either walk over to a cash register or hand me off to someone at a register. No, not in the Apple store - instead he whipped out his handheld register and ran my card through it, asked if I wanted a printed receipt or one mailed to me, and then asked if I wanted a bag. That was it. I was in and out of there in less than 15 minutes, no waiting in line, no smug "Oh you use a PC" attitude, nothing. All in all, I was highly impressed with his level of professionalism and service, and I now have music in not only my office but also our living room (after struggling a bit with an arcane error code which required an hour of internet research to figure out - thanks for nothing Apple, I found the solution on a non-Apple board). So how many places can you bring your laptop and they fix it for free? Well, I do have Apple Care, but nevertheless. There are no Dell Stores where you can take a Dell laptop (which screws up much more than my MacBook, based on experience!). The Apple Store in the Domain is great! The guys at the Genius Bar are knowledgable, helpful, friendly, and efficient! I've taken my MacBook in a couple times, twice to replace the plastic around the keypad (it's cracked twice now, due to the piece of plastic above the screen hitting it when I close the laptop). This time, my MacBook was giving me problems and they fixed it right away, despite the fact that they were super busy. I made an appointment on apple.com (how convenient!), went in, waiting only about 5 minutes, and spent about 10 with the "mac genius." I left my laptop there and they called me later in the day to let me know it was ready. Thanks Apple Store, and "mac geniuses" for being so available and helpful, especially when I can't live without my Mac! P.S. I was lucky enough to get a coveted parking spot right on the street out in front on the Apple Store! If you're not so lucky, you can park in the garage right across the street. read more

I own a PC, but I went to the store to help my mother buy a newer Mac that includes Intel capabilities. My gawd, what an incompetent bunch of people Pretty much all of them were kids and from beginning to the end, we were given misinformation. They talked down to me repeatedly as if I was a moron... Duh, you think I don't know that Microsoft is a different company than Apple when I ask if they could pre-install Windows in her system? Even though - GEEz - the previous guy at the store said they would install it for us. What bunch of retarded prima donnas! As a result of their repeated misinformation about EVERYTHING, we lost days of work trying to get her Mac to work. Oh, actually this would take several pages to describe the wrong and contradictory information they told us that wasted our time. On top of that, mentioned elsewhere, after driving back to pick it up, I had to wait a couple of hours because they lost the darn thing. read more

The folks here have been helpful each time I've come in with a problem or to view their wares. It wasn't as crowded as I expected, but there's still a line at the door "to check in," and a bouncer to enforce it. Seems weird to me when heading to a store, but there it is. So call first for an appointment. It's worth the reassurance that at least you'll get some help that day. Appointments are usually pretty easy to get quickly, unless there's a new system release. One appointment day recently, we had such trouble finding parking that we were late for our appointment by the time we found a spot in the garage and hiked over there in the blistering heat. We thought we'd have to try again another day when we saw the long check-in line. Sure enough, we were told to sit and wait for about 45 minutes at the Genius table. Talk about irony. We must have looked really dejected, because in only about 5 minutes, a resident tech genius came over and kindly solved our problem. So the lesson of the day is: call ahead, and come earlier than you think to to find parking. I wouldn't bet on all geniuses being so kind. But so far, so good. I just can't get excited about having to make an appointment to go to the mall. read more

Terrible visit from start to finish. What's the point of making an appointment at a certain time if I still have to be moved from table to table and talk to three different people before my issue can even be addressed after almost 45 minutes after my appointment time? The "genius" that tended to my issue didn't do anything other than refer me to a website to address it, which I had to find on my own afterwards because he couldn't even send me a link to it. He seemed so disinterested in my concern and did absolutely nothing to try to remedy the problem, other than to keep referring me to a damn website over and over. I can't even count the thousands of dollars my family and I have spent on Apple products over the years and this is service I get for my dedicated years of brand loyalty? I stood in here for nearly 20 minutes without any sales associate help. When I finally asked if someone had a minute to help, the response I got was " well, I'm standing here ...." If he didn't have a minute to serve a customer instead of standing in a corner, I have no idea why he worked in the store. I've never really had a great experience at any Apple store, especially this one. All of the "geniuses" that I've encountered here are not the ideal specimens to have that title. Today I went to buy a new phone, after finding someone that could /would help me, they directed me to a laptop so that I could enter my AT&T info. All the while entering my info, the "genius" keep trying to up-sale me a case, mobile me and of course the Apple Care. When we got to the point where I was to pick the phone, he informed me that they were out. He did offer a more expensive option though. From a customer service stand point, don't you think the first question the "genius" should have asked me was, what phone are you interested in? That question would have saved me time and frustration. I guess I need to stop shopping at this store. read more

I went in today to pick up a replacement phone that Apple kept calling me about. the phone to be replaced died exactly 2 months after i bought it - after an update. Fully charged as I left the house - off/dead about 2 hours later and never powered on again. There was a small crack on the bottom corner of the screen - maybe 1 centimeter. Despite a lack of water damage (they opened it up and checked), and the fact that the phone had mysteriously died after an update - the rep, Steven, told me it was unlikely I would get a replacement phone under warranty, despite it crapping out 2 months to the day from when I bought it. Given I use my phone all day every day for work, I asked to just buy the replacement phone on the spot, but was told I had to wait up to 7 days, phoneless, to get my phone assessed by engineers. At that point, I had given up on Apple. Went and bought me a flip phone. $140, battery last three days, chicks dig it - great purchase. Good riddance to a company with terrible customer service and declining product quality, I thought. Much to my surprise, 2 days later, I got a call from an excited Apple Rep who told me that even he was happy to let me know that my phone would be replaced free of charge. What luck! What a company! I was wrong about them, I thought. They ended up calling twice more over the following few days just to remind me that the phone was ready to pickup - and that i'd need a photo ID to claim it. I went in earlier today and asked to get the phone. The rep who came with the phone, Angel, told me that before I got the replacement I would have to turn in my old phone. Confused, I explained that I had given it to them for inspection 10 days prior - he said the notes did not reflect that. He left, then came back to let me know that they'd switcheroo'ed me - the new verdict is that while they recognize my old device was in their possession, i would have to pay for the replacement phone, despite different information on the phone, and a sudden disappearance of the notes in their internal system. Brandy, the store manager(?) came out. Now, I truly loathe the "C" word, but there's no way around it - she was quite Contentious from the moment she approached. She explained: 1) my old phone, which had been inspected by the engineering team, was offsite somewhere - moreover, it is now the property of apple (despite my double confirming at the time of dropoff that I would get a free replacement or get my old phone back), and 2) This was due to some contract I apparently signed, turning the rights to the iPhone (that I owned outright) over to Apple. I asked to see what contract I'd signed to that effect, and they were unable to provide a copy of the signed contract. 3) the only way I was going to walk out of the store with a phone was for me to pay $269 in addition the $450 I paid for the original phone that didn't last through the 60th day of use. I saw a few options - I get a new replacement phone for free, I get my old phone back, or I get some kind of plain English, signed contract that explains that I've given my personal property to Apple. She said that none of the above were possible. I asked about possible recourse - her solution? "I suggest you have your lawyer take it up with Apple Corporate Legal." I confirmed that she recommended I should hire a legal professional to go to bat with the legal division of the largest corporation on Earth. Over a bunk $450 phone that would have been a nice write-off for them. Now, I had more questions at that point, and I couldn't even get through a single one because Brandy cut me off mid-sentence, over and over again, repeating her mantra "I refuse to go around in circles with you." read more

Very disorganized store. My husband and I "made an appointment" to get our iPod serviced. We walked in, they were mobbed and went to the back to what appeared to be a service desk but there was no line (it was like a bar without the drinks), so we just waited about 10 minutes then finally had to interrupt one of the employees to tell them, we made an appointment and not sure where to go. They apologized and sat us at a table. We waited 40 additional minutes (that's 50 minutes after our appointment time), then finally my husband complained to one of the employees and we were told there was still 3 people ahead of us. So, we went back to our table where we were sitting before and my husband's booming voice was complaining to other customers who were waiting, and one of the sales staff over heard us and took care of us right there on the spot. I still give it two stars because they need to organize the place better and staff better in the afternoon and evenings. I know its Apple and all, but still, customers shouldn't have to wait that long when appointments are made! read more

I love Apple products, have a mess of them, and I let Apple treat me like crap because of their wonderful wares. I also have had nothing but great experiences with the Apple Geniuses. I won't hold the lies and screw ups after ordering my new Macbook that led me into the store, and I also got decent service from the manager. What I don't like is the extreme waits (-1 star) and then how poorly they deliver on your appointment time (-1 more). After 2 hours on the phone with Apple, I arrived at the store and was told it would be a 2-hour wait (weekday morning). That was bad enough, but the 2 hours passed and not a Genius to be found. I kept asking, and got the Apple autoreply... "Sorry, we're busy..." followed by the rotation of "there are just 2 people in front of you" and "should be about 20 minutes." Ended up taking 3 miserable hours. I do have to give credit where it's due though... Jamie (sorry if that's not the right spelling) was awesome, and basically taught me how to use my computer while I waited. 5 stars for Jaime! read more

I LOVE Apple products and I LOVE Apple's customer service even more! This company has AMAZING customer service. Our oldest Macbook Pro is 6 years old now and other than having to keep it plugged in all the time because it won't hold a charge, it's still working great! We've had a few minor issues with 2 of our Macbooks over the years but Apple has always figured out a way to help us out even past warranty. We recently visited this store because one of our Apple TVs wasn't connecting to our network. The warranty expired in March but the guy looked further into it and discovered that our Apple TV was part of a small batch that had a manufacturer's defect with the WiFi antenna so he gave us a brand new Apple TV right there on the spot. We were in and out of there in 5 minutes. This place is awesome!! read more

Always excellent service. I maintain a fleet of about twenty Mac computers and a dozen iPhones for my company, and I find that while the Genius team isn't always as knowledgeable as my in-house IT staff, they are polite, efficient, and always willing to work with me. I suppose you could say that they recognize a kindred spirit, and they tend to take my word for most things, which is a wonderful perk. Business team that sells us our gear always gets us a reasonable price, though their response time could be a bit better when responding to emails. read more

Outstanding, unexpected and appreciated. I went into this store to inquire about getting a new 'foot' for my three-plus year old MacBook. (There's a little plastic circle on each corner of the bottom, and one of mine disappeared, causing the computer to rock a little when on a perfectly flat surface.) I made an appointment at the Genius Bar and showed the young woman who greeted me there what it was I was looking for. I also asked her about a small area broken-off of plastic on the top case (which holds the keyboard and trackpad). She told me that because the broken piece was caused by a design flaw, she would have the entire top case replaced at no-cost as a courtesy, and she'd see if they had a bottom case in stock, or try to find a 'foot' on another computer that they could glue on to mine. In less than an hour I got a call telling me that my computer was ready. When I went in I could see that I had an entirely new top case, including a new keyboard and trackpad, and was told that they also replaced my battery because it was a bit swollen, indicating that it was near the end of its life. She offered to order the bottom case for me, but since I'm only visiting this area, I told he that I'd take care of the missing foot myself. The cost for all of this: $0, nada. I was blown away by the experience. Even though I've always been treated well by Apple, what happened today was way beyond anything I expected, or even had a right to expect. Five stars for Apple, the Apple Store at The Domain, and for 'Sheena' who served me at the Genius Bar. It's no wonder that Apple consistently rates at the top for customer service. It was an outstanding performance and very much appreciated by me. read more

When you feel cooler after leaving a store, and you didn't buy the next version of Guitar Hero, the newest American Idol Greatest Hits: Part Deux album, or any of that retro-80's garb that seems to be all the rave with the kids these days (thanks a lot VH1), then you know you must have walked out of an Apple retail store. My Mom tells me I'm cool all the time, but nothing makes me feel cooler than going in to an Apple store and buying something I know will be all the envy of those around me. Because of my supposed mother-granted coolness and apparent hipster status, I can see talent when I'm around it. The employees in this store are great. I've never waited in line at this location even on its busiest of days. The employees are all given cool little Orwellian credit card swipers and allow you to check out from anywhere in the store. They then simply email you the receipt (that's the sound of a Greenpeace angel getting its wings) and you leave pretty satisfied. I also dig how much larger this one is in comparison to some of the other retail locations I have been to. The one at Barton Creek can get cramped really easily. This one in contrast though can easily accommodate even the largest of geek gatherings, like the OS X Leopard release (which I attended). While standing in line to purchase that they brought us bottled waters, gave out free t-shirts, and cheered us as we walked in the door. Now I know that they were simply cheering at the fact that our purchases drove their stock options higher, but its nice to know that someone is happy that we're spending money. It lessens the effects of buyer's remorse. Anyway, out of the two Apple stores in Austin I'd pick this one in a heartbeat. If you're an Apple fanboy like me I'm preaching to the choir. If not, I'd recommend going up there for your first Apple store encounter. read more

Every time I have an appointment at the genius bar, the average wait time is 45mins to an hour. What's the point of having an appointment if they don't see you at your appointed time?? Also, the ratio of Apple employees to customers is an easy 3 to 1. Another gentleman and I were 30mins into waiting for our appointment and we just kept watching employees walk in and out of the work room. Every couple of seconds, 2 to 3 blue shirt employees would walk out. The gentleman joked that it was like a clown car--never ending people kept coming out of the door. So many Apple lemmings filled the store. The worst part of it was that none of them were "geniuses." You scan the room and there are about 20 Apple employees that are just standing around doing nothing. Why do they need that many people standing around?? Why not train more of them to be "geniuses" so they can actually help people. Oh, and of course they double book all their appointments. The gentleman and I both had a Macbook appointment at 5pm. 20 employees standing around doing nothing. Only 3 geniuses at the bar helping folks. And about 15 customers sitting around the front desk waiting for their appointments. The only saving grace here is that the geniuses are helpful. Every time I've gone in, they have resolved my issues. But the management team really needs to take a look at how they run appointments. read more

If I worked at the Apple Store, I'd give you the scoop on how Loki the Inventory Specialist is getting it on inside the 2nd floor panic room with Danielle the Genius, splintering the faces of those secret extra gadgets they save for special guests on new-product-release days. Alas, I do not. But they are really friendly every time I go in there; somebody runs up to hold the door if I'm carrying too much crap from work that needs repairing, or asks me if I need help. The store is laid out such that you can get your hands on just about all their products for sale, and there's even a small 'kids only' station with computers set up strategically by the Genius Bar where they do machine repairs/consults. Yeah, their parking setup is kind of annoying - I know it's part of the Domain, and the parking all over there is annoying, but there are a couple standalone Domain stores, and I believe this would have benefitted Apple here... if you have parts or computer boxes or what not to carry in and out, it's not exactly easy to get it to the parking garage. Also, the techs who denied that there is a clearly widespread, known problem with the built-in audio and usb connectors intermittently crapping out on the new 27" cinema displays. Look guys. I worked for a major computer manufacturer meself, and I know when there's an actual 'known issue' and when customers just blow smoke. You guys are just babes in the smoke-blowing woods here. So. If one considers the history of retail computer product stores, Apple is pretty damn good by comparison. I have no idea how they get anything done in locations like the Chelsea, NYC location, what with the 3 floors and the sea of hypnotically pretty people that colonize the floor like MRSA fed fresh young high school football locker room studs. But fortunately (for now) - this is Austin. read more

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Apple user but one pretty indifferent to the shiny showroom that is their retail store. Walking in the door of the place I can share the cynical amusement Apple-haters love to go on about. For me, things get progressively more interesting the further back into the place I venture. I may not need any help from the hip kids up front to know what my next expensive hardware purchase will likely be, but I can appreciate that the third-party accessory products in the back half of the store have been vetted to be worthy of inclusion, and are unlikely to be one of those impulse buys you start regretting before you even get it out of the box. The real juicy goodness, though, lies at the counter at the very back: The Genius Bar. Yep, the name may be worthy of every last eye roll but hot damn if Apple doesn't put their full OCD effort into making the experience live up to the name, however fantastic that goal may be. My first Genius encounter came when I picked up my Mac Pro that had been sitting for days on end at a reputable local repair shop. The tech confessed he'd forgotten to get me a quote for a new main board. "What have I got to lose?" I asked myself, schlepping across the mall with a computer the size of a kindergartener. What started as an exercise in validating my cynical skepticism ended up in amazement as the Genius re-seated a few components and the box roared back to life. The machine was well out of warranty but there was no charge - not a dime. That was a couple of years ago and the machine still runs 24/7 without a hitch. I've since moved close to the Domain and have developed a somewhat guilty habit of gratuitous genius bar visits. I never fail to be impressed with these folks' level of knowledge and level of friendliness - things that too often have an inverse relationship when it comes to computers. And the first smiling question is always to ask about the problem at hand, not to ask whether the device is under warranty or covered by an Apple Care policy, either. Bonus points for that. I won't go so far as to say the Genius Bar is a magic solution to every problem an Apple product might have - out-of-warranty hardware repairs and diagnostic stuff on older equipment would likely have me visiting an independent Apple repair shop. But for the right kind of issue - and I've had a number of them - the Geniuses enjoy a perfect track record for turning my cynicism into a smile. read more

I am going to review the Apple store, the new won present in the domain. The employees are professional, and helpful. My experience was very efficient. In my case, I purchased a computer online, within just a few minutes, I presented my receipt on my phone to the employee. They were able to retrieve my computer and I was on my way. Fast forward to about two weeks later, when something happened and I had to return the same computer. This was a seamless process, and it was easy. All I did was return to the store with the computer, and within just minutes it was returned and the full cost credited back to my account. You might wonder where to park, because the domain is difficult to park at. For now, the big giant parking garage adjacent to the Nordstrom's department store offers free parking. I parked there, hide my valuables and lock my car, and walk effortlessly over to the Apple store. As a sidenote, this new store is featuring a clump of huge living trees in the center of the store. The employee told me that the trees reduce stress in people, while at the same time cleansing the air inside of the building. I had heard this before, but never quite in this way and it was nice to hear, although a little bit funny. Have a look yourself, and enjoy the nice employees, the trees, and lots of expensive Computer paraphernalia and latest gadgets. read more

I have visited a handful of different Apple Retail Store's across the country and although they all were incredibly busy and had wait times, I actually look forward to going to this one. Despite being so busy they act like you are the only person in the store once you're being helped. I went in to pay my $99 AppleCare fee because my phone fell in the lake & I was sure it had liquid damage but they told me I didn't have to and showed me how the white dots would be red if water got inside. I own a Macbook Pro (which I bought here) and an iPhone (which I bought at AT&T), but I don't really consider myself the "Cult of Mac" type. Regardless, I rather like this place. 1) Bought my Macbook Pro. Pleasant, uncomplicated experience. I told them what I wanted, they got it for me. Minimal upsell, no hassle with my academic discount. 2) Bought cases & screen protectors for mine & hubby's iPhones. Got good recommendations, pros/cons that matched what I read online. A little pricey, but all Apple accessories are. 3) Two years after laptop purchase, battery decided it was schizophrenic. I had to make an appointment to get it replaced (this was around Labor Day weekend), but it was a no-hassle experience. The tech popped in a quick program to determine battery status ("BATTERY BAD"), looked up my AppleCare info from the serial number, and popped a new one in. The "lengthy paperwork" he warned me about was maybe two pages... lol. In and out in under 10 min. 4) Overall: Really f'ing crazy if it's busy (i.e. during holidays), but otherwise it's easy to flag somebody down and get recommendations, ask questions, or just check out. Oh and they'll leave me alone if I'm just browsing, unlike other stores that want to bug me every 5 minutes. One con - the idiot I talked to who tried to tell me that no viruses had been developed for Macs. Dumbass. read more

I love my apple products, but my experiences with the store/Genius Bar have not been positive. The first time I came here, it was to buy a case for my laptop. I could not believe how overpriced all of the accessories were! I ended up buying the case I wanted on Amazon for less than half the price of similar or identical ones in the Apple store. Same with cases for my iPhone. I already paid a ton of money for the electronic itself; why would I shell out an additional $80+ for accessories that I can get for $15 online? My guess is that they're preying on people who think, "I already spent $1,600, what's another $100?" Both times I've come in for repairs, I've made an appointment in advance and then waited way past my appointment time before someone actually helped me. The store is always rammed with people, and the employees seem to underestimate how much time they'll need to spend with each customer. Additionally, there are always several employees wandering the store, using iPads and earpieces to manage what appears to be a VERY overcomplicated and ineffectual scheduling and appointment system. They aren't actually assisting customers, and I have been rebuffed by them when asking for help. I think that if you need multiple employees just to manage a system like this, you need a new one, especially when it's demonstrably ineffective. I've started bringing my products to other repair places once they're out of warranty. read more

True, it gets crowded and crazy-busy and if it's your first time in, it's a little daunting. On the up side, however, it is a very intuitive experience -- like most things Apple. The very reason I am even writing this review is because, upon my latest visit, I've 'discovered' that you can check your own self out. Just download the EasyPay from the App Store, scan the barcode of the product you desire and, voila! No need to desperately look for an available (or UNavailable) associate. I might be behind times and this option was "there" for ages, but just on an off chance it was not, I consider it my good deed of the day. read more

I recently had the screen replaced on my iPhone 6s and the apple store was cheaper ($129+tax) than several other places on yelp that I called around and were charging $150+tax or more - what? That was the most positive thing. I made an appointment on the phone, but here's where it makes no sense to do so, regardless of my pre-existing appointment they make you wait (it was about 30min for me). I think this defies the whole purpose of a pre-existing appointment that took about 15min of hold time on the phone and explaining what was wrong with it. During pickup it also took about 15min of waiting. If I make an appointment ahead of time, there should be someone there to take my phone without any waiting. That's what I expected. read more

I took my Macbook Pro in 3 times due to slow performance. The team ran diagnostics, cleared caches and wiped my hard drive trying to help. Nothing fixed the situation and my computer ran ridiculously slow. So, I took my computer to a local Mac repair store, where they offered me RAM upgrades and a new hard drive. My computer runs like a dream. I'm extremely unimpressed with the Apple store. I can't believe they didn't suggest to upgrade RAM or change out the hard drive. Their tech team is ill-equipped to really solve issues, and I would never take my computer there again for a repair. read more

I was in market for a new phone so I headed to Apple store. You cannot get any assistance because store is usually clogged with people who have no intention on buying and just want to look hip and trendy by being in Apple store. Anyhow about 15 min in I finally encountered a worker there and purchased new IPhone. I had problems with the metal antenna looking band around phone and also the touch screen. I ended up selling the phone to a friend and bought a better HTC with bigger screen and better response, no malfunctioning quirks, and more functionality. I now realise Apple is for wannabe hipsters and people who want to fit in a crowd. Whatever, if being cool is worth it to you and you dont have an identity and need to create one through material things then go and spend hundreds more than necessary and get products that are rushed out to market without adequate testing. read more

Once I got to the genius person, I was very pleased with my service. The girl that helped me was super nice and helpful getting me a new phone and it didn't take too long. My problem is: WHY is this place so damn busy on a Wednesday afternoon? I get that everyone and their mom has a mac or iphone, but geeze. I made an appointment for 3 pm and got their at 2:30 thinking *maybe* I could be helped early or check-in or something (come to think of it the whole thing did remind me of the doctor's office...). I was disappointed that the first man I talked to basically told me I was too early and why don't I check out a case for my new phone?!?!? He led me over to the cases and then when I asked him questions about them, he told me they don't have many 4S cases anymore. He left, so I went back to ask someone else about my appointment and he led me to a special table I could sit and wait. The girl did help me at exactly 3 pm, which is cool, but then she did help another customer in the time my phone was backing up. I just felt like if I have to make a freakin' appointment at a retail store, I should be the only one helped. Ugh, the whole thing just kind of irked me. It seemed like there were 400 employees and only 20 of them were "Geniuses" enough to actually help, and the other ones were herders. It's just a little irritating for someone to tell you to sit at a table and that is his entire job. Couldn't he go grab the new iPhone? It was just weird, but I left with a new phone within an hour, so maybe I shouldn't complain too hard. read more

Besides the fact that this store is always busy (at least 1-2 hr wait for help) and parking is a real pain in the neck, the "geniuses" here are not very capable IMO. In the past, i have taken my new iMac at least 5 times for them to solve the problem, often sending me home w/ it not even turning on. Now i'm visiting this store nearly every day and on my 5th iPhone...fifth. They think it's easier to hand me a new phone instead of attempting to solve the problem. Not sure if other apple stores operate like this or the managers are incompetent to handle real issues. read more

I'm a huge Apple fan. It's the only brand product my family uses for computers, phones & tablets. But, the chaos inside each one of their stores makes me dread every visit to the Genius Bar. Not to mention, after getting my phone screen replaced, I'm having numerous software & battery issues that warrant another ridiculous 3 hour trip to the mall.... read more

Went here to pickup some stuff I ordered online on a busy weekend. I got right in and was ushered to the left of the store. Waited about 5 minutes to be helped as there were people in front of me. Polite service and I was on my way within 15 minutes. Busy all the time, but don't let that deter you. read more

Who needs an iPod anyway? I have a cell phone that plays music and it fits in my pocket at the gym. After two long flights with screaming children, loud talkers, foreign languages and a guy sitting next to me with his headphones cranked, I decided I needed something to help with all this craziness for my next flight. Bow down. It is time to succumb to the powers of Apple. I checked two different Super Targets and they both had the iPod and headphones that I was looking for, but they did not have the protective sleeve that I had chosen to save my new purchase from scratches. I do not love The Domain, but I remembered that it was close and had an Apple Store. Dang, these people are cheery! Of course they had the iPod and the headphones here, but I also found the sleeve of my dreams. It was on the top hanger and you had to be Tim Duncan to reach this product. One of the girls found one of the guys who happened to be about six foot three, and he easily plucked my case off of the wall. He helped me to pay for these toys with two gift cards and my bank card (iPods and accessories aren't cheap ya know). All of this was done quickly and with plenty of smiles to go around. I had a nice experience at the Apple Store and I think I will be back when my checking account recovers, because I happened to spot an Oakley backpack that I might need for my next trip. :-) read more

There are some people in this store that genuinely don't give a crap and then there are others who are super nice and extremely helpful. One employee I believe his name is Kenneth (I'm bad with remembering names) seriously made my day after taking time to help me when he didn't have to. Other employees said they couldn't help and I'd have to come back or have an appointment set up but I was in a huge rush and could not come back later that day or the next day due to surgery. He helped me and replaced my broken phone in a very timely manner so I paid for his coffee from Starbucks after :) But otherwise I'm not a huge fan it's always packed with people so I think they should just open another store to help with that. Although the wait times don't seem that bad from previous times I've been here. read more

Been here a couple of times for various issues now, and honestly, don't have much to complain about. I've both purchased and had services done here, and it's all been a nice, smooth process. This location has the Apple system down, and there's always enough employees to handle both the genius bar and the sales side. I used to think it was silly to have to make an appointment to bring in my computer/laptop for service - but it guarantees that you'll have someone there to talk to. And it doesn't make you feel rushed! My last visit this past weekend, I brought in a laptop that had a major defective battery. Came out of nowhere and I was worried I had done something wrong - not to mention I bought it somewhere else than Apple (but through an authorized retailer). I had my receipts and emails handy in case I had to prove that it hadn't even been a year since I owned this laptop; turns out there was no need. They were able to easily look up and tell that this was still covered under the 1 year warranty, so there wouldn't be any cost whatsoever. #score Don't be swayed by the huge crowds that are always in this store. It's a good sign, and there's always someone there to help you out. That's why I keep coming back. read more

ONE OF THE WORST RETAIL EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE... so, to start, I am an Android guy, first with Samsung then currently with Google Pixel for 11 years. Apple's multi billion dollar marketing convinced me to jump ship and give Apple a try. Plus my wife has been with Apple for years and she loves it. We went to the Domain store to buy me an iPhone 13 mini; to keep the story short, we were there for more than 3 hours, dealt with multiple different salespeople due to lack of knowledge on how to help us... I was thinking to myself.. I just need to buy a phone. I'm here with money. Why is this so hard? At one point one lady salesperson started giving my wife attitude and pointing her finger at my wife calling its her fault until I cut in and provided evidence that the fault was the previous salesperson who has no clue how to even do a simple transaction. Anyway at this point I am already running low on my patient, 2 other male salespeople saw what happened and quickly butt in and took over to help us. They tried to keep it professional which I appreciated, but the whole experience was already gone south. In the end, we left the store with no phone and my wife's money was stuck at cancel/refund process limbo for 3 to 5 days. Honestly, maybe this is the universe trying to tell me to stay away from Apple, if this is how they handle their customer and their service, I am glad I left without an Apple phone. I am so disappointed for a company like Apple who can't even do a simple transaction right. read more

I like Apple products. I own several. However, this particular Apple Store is honestly not worth the time or the hassle to mess with. It is located in the Domain, which is an outdoor shopping "mall," which is targeted at somewhat higher-end shoppers. Apple Store looks great on their artificial main street. However, the traffic to get in and out of the Domain is crazy, no matter what time you go. Once you get into the Domain, the next challenge is finding a parking space even REMOTELY close to where you need/want to go. On the end nearest the Apple Store, there are VERY few parking spots in front of the store. Behind the store has parking, but a major portion of it is "valet only" and you will be towed if you park in there. Sorry, but I'm not paying for valet service to run in a store. With many Apple Stores, you can walk in and get help with a technical issue. If it's a larger issue, I usually make an appointment, but when it's something small I figure it probably will not be a big deal to just walk in. Wrong... Unless you're walking in to strictly make a purchase, do not even consider showing up without an appointment. If you do, they will just funnel you into their next available appointment, which is usually hours in the future. Also, you cannot carry ANY purchase out the back of the store. We had to pick up a large Mac Pro tower a while back, and they made me double-park in front of the store, blocking traffic, in order to pick up our computer. I get the security aspect of it all, but it just seems kinda strange. I seldom go to this location, as it is just too much of a pain to get to, and to get an appointment with. I wish they would open a location that is easier to get access to. I tend to buy my Apple gear at Best Buy for this very reason. read more

So, I went in today, I already knew what I wanted to buy (MacBook Pro and MacBook Air), it took over 10 minutes just to get somebody to ring the items in. I spent almost 30 minutes there because it seems, the Apple Store has more employees showcasing than actually selling stuff. read more

I currently run a fleet of about 10 macs, not including the iPhones & iPads. Had a problem with an iMac and unable to upload the new OS. Brought it in, had one of their geniuses help me resolve the problem and CPU was ready to roll the next day. Joined Joint Venture for my business and they gave me a loaner until I picked up my repair. Would like not to have to wait so long but it's a happening place. read more
