I went in for a battery replacement. I thought I would just go in, tell them what I needed, they would say it will take 2 days leave the phone and come back for pick up. Got there. Checked in. Sent me to the genius bar to wait. Then I started reading the reviews about the battery replacement process and my hopes were fading fast. One person stopped by about 10 minutes into the wait and checked on me. Then the tech was there. Started running some checks on my phone and provided me with some guidance on how to manage the battery use. He walked away and came back about 5 minutes later. Said they had the battery, would take about an hour. I left the phone. Came back a couple hours later. Gave my name, they gave me the phone, paid and was on my way. It feels like the process is a little clunky, but it seemed to work. You do need to have time to spend, or it will be very frustrating. But, there is a much better personal touch and engagement quality as well. So I was happy with the process. read more

I have to say what an absolute pleasure it is coming to this Apple Store location. It is December 22...stores are crazy and yet I still just walked into this store to pick up an item purchased online and I was in and out in UNDER 15 minutes! What an awesome way to shop. We do drive from the Warren, Ohio area to shop at this location. I have even brought my daughter to their summer camp classes. The staff has always been personable and very helpful. I never have had a less than stellar experience. I also highly recommend their classes not just for the kids but for anyone. The staff is great at explaining the products and teaching you how to get the most out of your technology. read more

Went here today for the first time although I usually go to the one in Crocker Park. I highly recommend the Crocker Park location over this one. First, the employees are Crocker Park are all kind, friendly, and funny. The employees at Eton today were either unhelpful or made me seem like a burden for asking for help. I asked someone today why they have a certain policy (to better understand before I give my $500 away) and she just kept repeating the policy, which I understood already and wasn't what I was asking about. Then I got bounced to another associate who acted like he couldn't be bothered to help answer simple questions I needed help with (can you please double check my laptop backed up last night on the Time Capsule as I needed to send it in for repair or trade in). I don't want to feel like I'm a bother when I'm looking to spend $2500 at the store on one product. I don't think the employees cared as they weren't the sales people.. I see from the reviews I'm not the only one who found the employees here a bit rude while the Crocker Park employees have glowing reviews. All in all I decided to just get a new laptop instead of repairing mine but while I was happy to buy a new one today I'll either get one at Crocker Park or online instead. Both stores, Eton and Crocker Park, are probably equally crowded but at least at Crocker Park there are many more stores you can walk around to while waiting for repairs as well. read more

I came to return a broken lightening cable that was under warranty"bought January 2016", a piece broken off and I wasn't able to find it, came back to store with piece and manager hid in the back of store and stated through employee that my product was out of warranty. This was my first time going into the store to have my tablet looked at because tablet would no longer charge. The guy that looked at it said my tablet was bent and then proceeded to take me there was no use in sending it out for repairs and that I should get a new one for half the price. He didn't even try to fix it. I asked for a supervisor and told her my issues. I asked her to point out where my tablet was bend and she couldn't find it. She had to ask him to point it out and then proceeded to try to tell me where the bend was (which doesn't exist). These people lie to you and treat you as if your stupid. I left the store upset because no one was listening to me. I called the 800# and go a rep who had experienced the same customer service where she was told her tablet was bent. She offered to let me swap out my tablet at no charge. She didn't talk down to me or treat me as if I were stupid. I will never step foot in that apple store and going forward have decided to deal directly with customer service. I'm guessing these people must have a sales quota to meet or something. One thing is always like the other....The Apple Store. We decided to stop in here the other day to get our phone checked as it was acting a bit wonky. As always, so great, very crowded, and be sure you have an appointment. The people who work here definitely know their stuff and they were quick to id the fact that I needed a new battery. Our genius expert was name Chloe and she was wonderful. The store is always brimming with people and incredibly cool products. Honest, if I had a cool million, I would easily drop it here. I came in and it was a busy day there so didn't mind waiting a few. When the guy finally came up first thing he asked was do I want apple care. I said no. Second thing he said was that I will need to get the iCloud service in order to buy my new iPhone 13 pro because without it we can't transfer the stuff from my old phone. I said wait I just read last night that you can do one of three things to transfer.....you can attach the phones with a cable, you can do it wirelessly while the phones are in proximity and you can also get a free iCloud backup that lasts 21 days and use that to get your new phone. The guy said I was wrong and again said I needed the monthly iCloud to buy a $1,099 brand new phone. I left at that point and went to AT&T to buy the phone instead and confirmed EVERYTHING I read the night before. The guy was obviously trying to upsell me and was completely dishonest! read more

We tried to reinstall MacOS but finally had to do it from scratch and erase the disk. Good thing I did a back up relatively recently. I went in with an issue with my phone screen. The young woman Hajji was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. She performed the diagnostics on my phone and was able to give me a few options to allow me the opportunity to make the best decision for myself. Oh, did I mention that I was in and out in less than 30 minutes? That's almost unheard of! Horrible service so I spoke to customer service regarding my iPhone that's less then a year old. The agent was going to do a swap for me but there was a 29.99 dollar charge to get it replaced for me. So I asked if there was a cheaper option I know the agent was already helping me out by giving me service for free and just charging shipping. So being a college student and lack of money I was told there was a option where you could go to an Apple store and get it replaced there the agent told me there's nothing that can be done and said they can't replace it all the notes were there where I spoke to Apple and they offered this and how I went thought hours of trouble shootIng. So I waisted 2 hours at the store and driving there was waist to time and gas for me with nothing accomplished. The agent was very rudely talking to me I wanted to make a purchase and just pushed me to talk to someone else that was there so passing the trouble on to someone else basically. The experience was suppose to be polite for such a large empire as Apple but I guess the employees are just rude and not helpful at all. So it's crazy the rumors I see on here! Let me first start off by saying the store is beautiful and plenty of products on hand , except the 13 pro max , so first and foremost I purchased the AT&T iPhone 13 when I got it too be honest it didn't impress nor did it feel like an upgrade. So I decided to rerun and get the pro max. So I went to return my phone after talking to Apple CS they informed the Apple store in Westlake so when I arrived they claimed to have sold out so of course now I was stuck with no phone. So when I returned home from that store I called Apple explained my frustration and they found me one at the Apple store Eaton. When I arrived I cancelled my order with the other Apple store and reprocessed it and all of sudden I couldn't get financed through AT&T so after numerous calls and back n forth this store was Apple to get me the pro max same day!!! It took 3 reps to get this done and I wish I had gotten there names but the took care of me even waited a little extra time after closing to get the order processed so I could leave with a phone same day! To me when reps go the extra mile to help a customer I think they deserve some positive feedbacks so Kelly and the other two reps that assisted me good job you guys understand great customer service! read more

Purchased the leather case for my 13 pro max 3 weeks ago & its already tearing. When I spoke with apple they told me thats covered under warranty. So I drove 30 minutes & the manager (brian) looked at it & said its not covered & its doing what its supposed to do. I have had problems with my AirPods Pro ever since I got them. I have had connection issues and charging issues, specifically with the case and left bud. I talked to Customer Service on the phone for 30+ minutes and was pleasantly surprised how helpful they were. When I came into the store to get a replacement for the AirPods, which customer service told me I would be able to get. They told me that they could only replace the left pod and the case. They also do not have replacements in the store and they would have to ship them to the store. I drove over 30 minutes to get a replacement. At this point I could have saved at least an hour in drive time just shipping the AirPods in rather than coming to the store. I was not looking forward to coming to this store as I looked over other reviews. Don't overlook the fact that AN APPLE STORE has only a three star review. read more

Also, nobody's wearing masks anymore in or out of stores and restaurants but at apple store they refused to serve you if you don't comply with wearing their masks . I have to say, the service here is lacking. I've come here three times for genius bar appointments, appointments that I've scheduled ahead and shown up 5-10 minutes early to. All three times, I end up waiting around for 20-30 minutes. Its not for a lack of helpers wandering around, a lot of times they're just chatting with one another holding casual conversations. I notice because I'm waiting around for what feels like forever while no one approaches me to help after I've checked in. I see people check in after me and be helped before me. I see many people being helped by the same genius at the same time, jumping around between two or three people. I understand they're busy and i understand everyone needs help with something, but if they're going to let me sign up for a time, I'd at least expect to be helped in a timely manner. I dont mind waiting if I'm early, I understand I got there early, but it should be at least somewhere near my appointment time. The last time I was waiting for a genius, he started calling my name and just as I start to raise my hand to get his attention, a different customer that was waiting got his attention before I could. The genius abandoned me and started helping him instead. I let out a big sign and had to wait another 10 minutes before anyone helped me. Bottom line, be prepared to spend at least 20 minutes waiting for someone to help you here if you make a genius bar appointment. read more

The staff is helpful, the store is as clean and fun as any other Apple Store, and the location is great as it's next to all of my favorites: Trader Joe's, Barnes & Noble, Anthro, etc.! My experience with customer service and Apple has never been good, and today was no exception. I have an iPhone 6S that I finally paid off two months ago. Approximately at the same time, my phone has slowed down and my battery runs out quickly- no doubt related to the similarly released update and iPhone X. After hearing that Apple was replacing affected batteries for $29.99, I decided to head over while running errands. I was somewhere in Lyndhurst when I called to inquire about the details, and they picked up 15 minutes later after I pulled into Eaton. I hung up, walked into the store, and waited in line for 10 minutes so I could speak to someone. He told me this: I could wait 45 minutes and place an order for a battery, or I could order one by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. After that, I would receive a call in approximately 2 weeks, whereupon I would need to bring my phone in and allow at least 3 hours for repair. Since I had my three month old with me, I opted to call. My daughter and I braved the rain, and I called the number on our way home. I was informed by the phone rep that replacement batteries can only be ordered IN person. At this point, I was out of time and out of patience. 1. Apple no doubt made decisions that no doubt affected the quality of their product, no matter what they say in their PR statements; 2. One would think that if a fix is offered for a KNOWN problem affecting thousands, if not millions of customers, they would be prepared for it; 3. Enough with the slow service and multiple lines! It's always this way. Staff more effectively! 4. Make sure your employees are informed about your service when they are dealing with the public. If I could ditch Apple without losing my photos and videos, I would. This is just the latest in a long line of similar instances. I wish I had never chosen this product. read more

The service here was slow. I even had an appointment. The first man that helped me kept talking to one of his friends the whole time. He was rude but then would turn to me and ask me questions about my phone. The second person who helped me was personal and got me in and out very fast. It really depends who you end up working with. Whenever I come here for the Genius Bar I am see pretty quickly. Came here last weekend with my dude and Jesse was super helpful! MacBook was old and we tried upgrading to a solid state but for some reason it was not booting up correctly. Even though Jesse couldn't solve the problem for us because we had hardware problems, he gave us some good alternatives to try out before coming back again. It's nice to know that even though Apple makes products that are expensive and not that durable for the average user, the Genuises here are real people and do care about people who walk through these doors. read more

AS USELESS AS A ASHTRAY ON A MOTORCYCLE!!! I always purchase my charging cable from the Apple store even though the lines are long and I could find it cheaper on Amazon. The big reason behind my choice is Apple give you a 1 year warranty on their cables. This have helped me many times as their cables AWAYS malfunction. Today I went to the Apple store at Eaton (been there 3 times in past for same issue without any problems). I told the Apple guy, my charging cable I bought 1 month ago heated up INTERNALLY and now my cable casing is melted and looks bad. He told me he could not replace it because the external Casing is damaged. I said yes because it melted inside out. He said any damage to the outside of cable voids out warranty and he can only honor cables with internal issues that does not show externally. Mind you he never asked for my name, number or email. If he would have he would have seen that I just bought the cable and it overheated and burned the wire in the process. This is clearly something I had no control over and I was turned around like a criminal. I will continue to write bad reviews and warn people of their crazy policy. I also asked the guy if this was a new policy as I've never had this issue and he said no it's been in place for years. When his manager came out I asked him the same question and he said yes it's a new policy I feel racial profiling played a part in this as well but I don't like to play that card!. This is unacceptable!!! I am the Dean of a school who just signed off on a big shipment of MacBooks and you can bet your ass I will cancel that and go with your competition. Shame on you apple! Made an appointment online to replace the battery of my iPhone 6 S Plus last Sunday. Received a call from this Apple Store on Tuesday saying the battery is arrived. I said I want to be there on Sunday. They advise me to get there at 11am Sunday. Ppl at this store are pretty nice. They run a quick check on the battery and advise right now It is my choice to change it or not because the battery is still okay to use for another one or two months.
