First was not allowed to stay inside store do to prior a Health condition and not being able to wear a mask because of condition, told a MINOR to wait outside of building while parent had to get problem resolved. I had a problem with my iPhone and dreaded the thought of going to the apple store a week before Christmas! When I got there a young man took down my name and info and gave me a time (an hour) to return. So I hung around and came back, had a bit of a wait and young woman Meghan, was assigned to me. She was over the top patient, helpful, and immediately solved the issue, although I had another long wait for downloading and cloud stuff and other things I don't understand. But a slight warning if you buy a pair of red beets studio3 be warned that if your left ear hits anything to hard that the headset will squeak anywhere from just a what was that to a ahhhh that hurt. If you bring them in for repair they will check them out say can you demonstration for us the issue. You will probably say no or maybe and they say well let's send them out to get worked on it might just get replaced. Then they give you a new one and you just rinse and repeat until eventually they give you a new pair right then and there. The problem still won't be fixed and you will just have gone weeks in and out of the apple store with headphones to get fixed. So he said he'd check with his supervisors. Came back and told me neither he Or his two supervisors had access to that information and couldn't tell me what it would cost. OK. Again. Really? They've never replaced an earpiece speaker on a old iPhone and have no idea or access to that information? What's the joke besides these " technicians" and supervisors. I bought multiple items here in February and had no issues but today was the first time I have questioned whether I will ever spend money with Apple again. Our 6 month, 4th gen Apple TV has always seemed sluggish, stalling and freezing all the time. Multiple resets later and I thought it finally died. Could not get it to reset. So I tried returning it for a new one but they told me I would need to see a "tech".... Ok.. But that will be an hour. Ok... Two hours later and the tech was able to get it back to factory defaults, only I don't trust that hardware. Manager said 'I have to trust my tech'. Apparently the customer is never right... I am honestly at a loss for words. At this point I just want my money back and really need to take a deep breath... Okay guys, I almost NEVER leave reviews, but I have to for this one. I went to the Apple store today with a broken camera on my iPhone, and because of my own stupidity, I totally didn't back up my phone before I went in. So someone showed me how to back up my phone to the cloud before I went ahead and got the repair to my camera, and backing up my phone took forever because I have approximately five million pictures on my phone. So I spent a solid 2 1/2 hours at the store. The main reason I'm leaving my review is the customer service I received from the sales associates at this store was phenomenal. I was sitting there and I had multiple people strike up conversations with me to pass the time, they even played games with me! Terry specifically is the sweetest guy you'll meet in the whole world. He really made my day! Beyond helpful and fun to hang out with when you're stuck waiting for your phone to back up for the first time this year Thanks terry!!! read more

I walked in at about 3:45 for my appointment and was immediately greeted at the door it was amazing until I came back to get my phone and I was confused on where to find a location to wait for it I went to a gentleman named Matt faded haircut greys in his beard ear bud hanging in his ear and as I went to ask him "can I please ask you a question" I got interrupted with a finger in my face saying "you need to hold on" and a back turned to my face. I work in costumer service and you don't treat people in need of help in that manner... but to make light of the situation I was greeted by Jose Murphy who not only switched my mood right around but helped me IMMEDIATELY and up sold me a new screen protector on my phone. I've now had three frustrating experiences with this store (normally I wouldn't give a vendor three chances but the distance to the next closest Apple Store has been a limiting factor for me). The three themes are (1) not enough staff to deal competently with the demand at that location, (2) poor listening skills on the part of staff (they seem nice just stressed) and (3) a lack of flexibility. For my current issue, I drove 90 minutes (one way) to the store as I was told by Apple that this was the only method I could use to arrange for overnight shipping on a warranty repair. The staff person I spoke with was nice but could not confirm, and was either unwilling or unable to find out, if the unit would ship overnight, even with me being willing to pay for overnight; he had no response when I repeated what Apple had told me and just kept shrugging his shoulders. Five days later, when the status of the repair would not update online, I called Apple. 40 minutes later I found this out: the store had not sent the repair center the proper communication regarding my unit. So, it was sitting at the repair center unattended to. They also had not noted the FedEx tracking number, which is why it took the patient Apple rep 40 minutes later to get me a response. All this was after I politely emphasized that turn around time is critically important to me. I find this store's service to be either apathetic and/or incompetent. This has been by TYPICAL experience with this store. I'm done with them. It will be worth it to drive further and to not have to deal with their stressed out and inattentive service. read more

Security guards are on power trips. I was harassed and bullied outside the store. I was threatened and harassed along with another guy and his wife. Cops arrived told the security that they couldn't enforce anything. Filed a complaint with a manager and he made it seem like it was our fault, the security guards cancelled our appointments. The manager is a sarcastic you know what. Filed complaint with apple regional and they were appalled by what had happened and apologized unlike the store manger. Terrible place to go. read more

I work for att and know for a fact my phone has never been repaired or refurbished. Bought brand new from the att store out of the box. Went to have a battery replaced and they refused saying that it showed signs of being refurbished. I have never had such a terrible experience at an Apple store before and it pains me every time I have to send somebody to Apple for one of their products. If Apple is replacing batteries because of a software version they purposely ruined it with then they need to replace all batteries regardless of if it had been repaired before or not. read more

I saw Chase standing confidently so I asked explained my concerns with my earlier visit and he said the other rep Jacob was mistaken. He placed me back into their system and personally helped me pick out a new XR phone as well as a rose MacBook Air, beats headphones, and air pods. What a 180 degrees difference! I was very happy with Chases ease of engagement and he explained EVERYTHING! On my way out with bags galore, a manager asked me to reiterate my experience. I gushed on how awesome the experience with Chase was and how awful the experience with Jacob was. The Sales Specialist makes all the difference for a customers experience. read more

Even with an appt to replace a battery you have to be seen by the "nurse". After that, you can get in line for the "doctor". The doctor needed 3 hours to do surgery on the battery. This place sucks. I purchased a new Apple iPhone 6S 64GB on September 25th, 2015. Less than 30 days old the iPhone has proved defective. On two separate occasions the phone has turned itself off and the Fingerprint Sensor/Home Button has gotten really hot to touch. After researching on the web this is a well documented issue, many users/purchasers are experiencing the exact same problem. I contacted the Apple Store in Whitehall, PA to address my concerns, since I feel that the phone overheating is a safety issue, and that with a defect such as this the phone less than 30 days old should be replaced. The Apple Store refused to offer a replacement, and denied that it was an issue. The "Tech" guy, Nick was indifferent to my concerns and could care less about any type of customer satisfaction. I am not new to iPhones, or Apple products - I know how to operate the product and have other devices that do not have this issue. Frustrated by their horribly slow service, a more than 40 minute wait AFTER the "appointment time", the fact that they had assigned a case # to the phone repair but the techie refused his request to look it up before servicing the phone, and also refused to answer how the phone would be repaired. I have been going to this Apple Store since it opened & have always found friendly, intelligent, & helpful employees who truly went out of their way to help & support my technology needs. My husband & I have bought at least 8 apple computers, 4 iPads, multiple iPhones, 2 sets of wireless headphones, & countless accessories over the years. I have taken classes by great teachers & have had incredibly capable help at the Genius Bar. I have raved about the support I have received at this store to my fellow teaching colleagues, students, family & friends - that is, UNTIL TODAY!! The manager, MATT BOTZ, not only was unable & unwilling to help me with a problem, but his lack of empathy, robotic responses, and impatient body language and facial expression were absolutely insulting! He was unwilling to give me the name of any one in a position above him that I could speak with & provided generic, repetitive replies to my questions, most notably call 1-800-myapple. My husband & I were going to purchase another iPad & iPad keyboard at this store, but I will not do so after the treatment I received this afternoon. Let me explain the situation. In the fall of 2014, I purchased a new Mac Book Pro. In December of 2017, the computer shut down, went completely black & would not restart. I took it into the store & the tech thought that it must be the battery. They sent it out, replaced the battery & called me to pick it up. I went in, sat down at the Genius Bar, & it would not start. Again, it was completely black. They tell me I can send it out for a possible repair (not guaranteed) for I believe it was $475 & I will get a 90 guarantee. After discussion with my husband, I decide to buy a new computer. $475 is too much to spend for a 90 day guarantee & a "possible" repair. I'm greatly disappointed that my computer has to be replaced after only 3 years, but what can I do? I teach at the college level now & NEED my computer. I spend another $1600 or so & get another Mac Book Pro. I get home, set up my new computer & am at least happy that now I have a dependable resource for my work. My son comes home from NYC, sees my old computer, & turns it on. It works! I figure that it is not going to be long before it goes totally black again. He asks if he can have it, I explain the situation & tell him yes, you can have it - but it probably won't work again in a day or two. Fast forward six months -he has a WORKING COMPUTER-yes, my old computer is working perfectly fine-BUT MY NEW COMPUTER DOES NOT! Yes, I spent $1600 to buy a new computer when my old one actually was fine & now my NEW $1600 COMPUTER DOES NOT WORK! In May my new FIVE MONTH OLD computer starts to unexpectedly shut down - repeatedly. I Google my problem, try the suggested solutions to no avail, & then call the Apple Support number. A most helpful person talks me through some suggestions, which do not work, then helps me to make an appointment at the Genius Bar at the Lehigh Valley Store. The helpful tech explains the problem, wipes my computer clean & sets it up again. He thinks this will take care of the issue. I take it home, & it seems to be OK for two days. Then the shut down starts again. I call the Genius Bar and have to wait for a day or so for an appointment. In that time, the shut down problem does not occur again, so I call & speak to someone at the Genius Bar & we decide that perhaps it really is OK & that those two shut downs may have been a fluke. I ask that my call is duly noted- & it is. We go away for 2 weeks & my computer is not used at all during that time. I come home & start to teach a new online summer course,& it starts again. I cannot work for even 3 minutes because my computer goes black & shuts down. I send every report to Apple & even send comments referring specifically to what has been happening. I call & set up another Genius Bar appointment, sure that I will get the outstanding customer service that I have received in the past -& then I meet Matt Botz. After repeating my six month frustrating experience, explaining that I already spent money that I didn't need to & sharing my situation of needing my computer to teach my six week course currently in session, Matt Botz consistently and robotically repeats his 'solution' of sending out my computer for 3-5 days. He can do NOTHING else, there is no one else for me to speak with about this situation, his store leader is on vacation & will not be back for days, there is no hierarchy of management that can listen to me & help with this situation (despite the fact that Apple is a HUGE company with expertly trained personnel) & he understands that I need my computer but-hey, there's nothing he can do about it. I PAID $1600 TO MAKE SURE THAT I HAD A COMPUTER THAT WORKED (when, in retrospect, I didn't need to) & I STILL HAVE A COMPUTER THAT DOES NOT WORK! I deserve a working computer and more respectful help from a company that prides itself on customer service. read more

I only wish I could give it an even lower score. Horrible experience!!! I went to the store wanting to trade in my phone old iPhone 5S and order a new iPhone 6 for my wife. One sales person asked me to wait while someone freed up. Once a person came over to help me he argued with the door guy and said that the store manager said they weren't doing store recycling and I had to go through the website. I expressed that I didn't want to do that but he insisted. Later I called Apple and the customer service rep said that wasn't accurate. So it came right down to the fact that the guy didn't want to deal with it and was willing to tell a customer a bold faced lie. They directed me to what I was looking for but my husband reminded me about an issue I was having with my phone (which hadn't happened in a while). Anyway, without an appointment, someone looked at it for me and everything was fine. I was able to purchase what I went there for (they had to get it from the back) and I was on my way. Being a Apple Care Plan customer they replaced my phone with a new one. The service was great and I was in and out within 10 minutes. I have been having some trouble with my Macbook Pro restarting on its own and tried everything, decided to take it in to have it looked at. The Genius Bar schedule online said there wasn't anything available for a few days but I decided to drive in and see if anyone could help me. When I arrived (11am on a Sunday) I was told that someone could see me in about 45 minutes. I didn't mind waiting and they had me in in less time. They were very busy and they linked me up with a great guy, very knowledgeable and helpful. After lots of tests and updating software, my mac is back in working order. I'm sorry I don't remember the guys name but he was fantastic and a huge relief to fix my mac. I'm sure he would've been a great Navy Seal too. Tonight I experienced the worst customer service of my life. I have never wrote a review before in my life I am a server for 24 years so I know the world is rough but tonight took the cake on how no one wants to do their jobs anymore. I only get iphones for the past years used to love them until lately the quality in the phone has gone to crap. they keep making newer models so the last ones need to be upgraded. So leads me to tonight my iphone 11 has been turning off for 2 weeks now and wont hold a charge (I just got it in October of last year) so with COVID I fully understand that things have changed with the apple store in Lehigh Valley Mall. I have been online for 2 weeks waiting for a appointment to open up and nothing so finally today the phone totally died and wont turn on. My husband my newborn and I took a drive up there to go see if we could talk to someone. when we got there there were tents set up outside it was 4:30 pm the apple store employee told my husband that we could be seen in 2 1/2 hours gave him instructions on what to do when we get the text for our appointment. my husband gets in the car gets the confirmation text that we have a appointment. the rain is pouring down because we are on a weather advisory. with hopes we will get a text sooner to go we stay in Whitehall and go get to go food and wait in the car for our text from apple. 7:03 would have been our 2 1/2 hour time up for appointment we were right across the street in the old sears parking lot so we head over just to see how many people are in the store and if we had to wait much longer! well guess what they were locking the door to close! No text no nothing not even to say that we could have first appointment tomorrow there was a worker leaving who was so rude and said he didnt care what anyone texted about a appointment that it was closed and thats it! My husband asked for a manager or supervisor and the guy said that they dont have one at night to close( I personally know thats a lie because a manager has to be there to close at night) We went out in bad weather during a virus spent money on diner that we didnt have to just to be close when they texted and was treated like crap when they didnt honor our appointment. We spent 1000.00s of dollars on our apple equipment and phone bill only to get no service. So the point of this review is to let Apple know that their employees at The Lehigh Valley Mall have their heads up their asses and do not want to do their jobs i see alot of bad reviews on this store and poor customer service Im sure if you really look into it alot of your compensation to valued customers comes from poor customer service at this store in Whitehall PA. read more
