Be prepared to have ample amounts of money for them to pack your belongings. Their original quote increased by $350 due to up-charging for supplies. Significant difference considering it was only a one bedroom apartment with small living room and one bathroom. Their two person crew mentioned I should have purchased my own supplies. Good to know! Would have done so had I known ahead of time. Grateful, at least, I did not utilize them for the move itself. Who knows what surprises I would have been presented with. Apple Moving recently helped me move in the Humble/Atascocita area. The move took approximately 7 hrs to complete for my 2200 sq ft home. 4 guys showed up. The service was exceptional...from setting up over the phone all the way to paying the bill just before the movers left. Movers used shrink wrap and moving blankets liberally. They were careful and very friendly. No damage has been found to date (still unpacking). Overall, I was very impressed and highly recommend Apple Movers. read more

I got a personal call from Apple after my post on Yelp and they were able to get someone out later in the week. There was some sort of logistics issue at the office that caused my time to not flow through the system. The movers were great guys and understood that I just wanted to get the move over and done with. They showed up on time, and nothing was scratched or broken. While I understand mistakes happen I'm willing to give them three stars, but will note that if they showed the first time I would have given five stars. read more

Great service. They were always working and everything was protected. All the mirrors and our wooden pieces were wrapped and transported safely. The movers were always working. The worst move I've ever had. The movers arrived and did speak english. One of the three movers look like he was picked up off the corner No one had on Apple shirts to be easily identified. The guys showed up at 8am on the dot and got started immediately! The crew of 3 worked like machines until the whole truck was packed. I JUST finished my move, and I just had to post this review. Go with your first instinct and do not hire Apple Movers for your move. This is my fourth move, and usually my moves take no more than two hours as I live in a One Bedroom Apartment. This should have been a quickie as I'm moving my larger furniture items into storage. No reassembly required. But this move took 3.5 almost 4 hours!! And the worst part, is I had three movers! When we arrived at the storage unit, I began to assist with unloading to speed things up! Craziness!!! Needless to say, I called and cancelled the second part of the move. Apple moved us over the weekend. I must say I was very happy with the team they sent out. I was alos impressed by the back office management team. Several times along the way they called to inquire on how things were going. Only issue was that there were several items (boxes) that were placed on the worng floor. In there defense it is hard to get all boxes correct, espeacially when using a dolly and moving several at one time. I would for sure use them again. read more

Ever and his crew made my move stressfree! They moved the contents of my 2200 square feet home plus contents of a small storage unit into one large storage unit in 4.5 hrs. Everything was stacked with precision. There were a few items like flat screen tvs and a glass-top dining room table that they wrapped for protection while in storage. One of the Managers even stopped by to see how things were going and to ensure I was satisfied. I moved on a weekday, so I received a lower hourly rate. WORST MOVE EVER. If you walk away from this company, you'll be moving faster than the non-English speaking subcontractors they hire. Their three man crew took EIGHT HOURS to pack my two bedroom apartment and garage and unload it all less than ten miles away at a storage unit. They were SLOW. I liked that they wrapped every piece of furniture. But, they took far too much time doing so. To their credit, I was on the third floor of my apartment. But, they were moving down... not up. They milked me for nearly one thousand dollars to do what should have cost half that much. And, no one ever even bothered to call me later to see if the move went well... or if I had a complaint. First, let me say I have no complaints about the movers themselves. They did a great job and they were very helpful. My only complaint is that on the way to our location to drop off the furniture we were held up at a train for an hour. I think it's in really poor taste that I was charged full price for the hour we had to sit in traffic at a train in Baytown. I had no control over that, and ultimately paid $120 plus a $99 travel fee for the movers to sit in a truck and smoke cigarettes for an hour. Again, the movers did a good job. They were friendly and nothing was damaged so I hate to complain. I just think that as a company it was in really poor taste to charge a customer for a hold up that was out of their control. read more

TERRIBLE experience! DO NOT recommend. Apple moved us this past July. House was 2250 sf. Moved 7.6 miles away. We did all the packing. Move consisted of boxes and typical furniture. The following are some of the issues we experienced: * Apple's literature claims one of their trucks can move a 1700 to 2000 sf house. Our move took TWO trips, and they still did not move everything . . . and refused to make another trip to complete the move. * Crew arrived about 8:30 in the morning. Drove off about 10:30 that night. * Apple's literature claimed reassembly of furniture. This was not done. * We were told their crews were employees with 5+ years of experience. Our crew of three (3) consisted of a 21 year old 'leader', and two (2) 17 year olds. The leader had worked with Apple the previous summer. The others had even less experience. * A claim was made for a missing item. Claim is being denied without explanation. * Received a bill, but the bill did not itemize or identify its basis. * Have found the office manager confrontational. She has not shown us a customer friendly attitude. BAD experience! read more

Truck showed up 2 hours late because they were having a hard time finding a third mover. Movers tried to nickle and dime me on some heavier items that I had mentioned in my phone consult, then offered to waive the charge since they were late (when my rate should have already accounted for those items!). I felt like this was a scam to keep me from reporting their 2 hour delay to the main office. It was a hot day and a difficult move, but their constant complaints to me about 1) the heat, 2) the number of boxes we had and 3) the fact that my house was two stories were entirely unprofessional. And when I sat down to feed my child, the mover gave ME a hard time about taking a break! I recommend you look elsewhere. read more

I scheduled a move into storage in late September. The crew was very nice and showed up on time. The company called a few days after and ask how the move went and in all fairness to them I told them things had went well. I didn't complain. However, when I moved out of storage last week I learned what a genuinely poor job they did do. I rented two 10X30 storage building and only 1 & 1/4 were used. Many pieces of furniture badly damaged, art scratched. One of the headboard last was scratched so deeply that we put it on Craigslist and sold it for 100.00 (paid 5,000). All said and done we had about 70 items total either scratched damaged or broken because of poor decision making by the moving crew. I had used them in the past with no problems but will never use them again. I provided them with the space they needed and they didn't utilize it. Taxidermy completely destroyed, bronze sculptures are now headless. Never again. read more

We moved last weekend. The movers were ten minutes early and jumped right in to work! They were careful with all of our items and only stopped for a 15 minute break over a 6 hour move to eat. I would highly recommend Apple Movers- they helped make our move stress free!! read more

DON'T! That's all I have to say about this company. REALLY DON'T if you are moving to another city!!! At first I thought it was great that I could use these guys for less and on such short notice. I've used them before a few years ago. The guys that did my move asked me for items (for them to have) that I wasn't going to take with me. I would have been satisfied with everything had THEY not decided it was time to be done loading my stuff and LEFT some of it behind!!! They were told that everything in the front room had to go. They just ignored the stuff they didn't want to deal with. The worst part of that is that some of the items were pieces of my furniture that THEY disassembled! They just weren't going to take it! So now I'm stuck with CARLOADS of stuff they were supposed to take with NO help whatsoever! Now I will have to make the drive from Austin to Houston and back to Austin MULTIPLE times just to get ALL of my belongings to Austin. I've NEVER experienced this with a mover...EVER. Seriously people, pay for better movers! It is worth the peace of mind!!! read more

I have used Apple in the past - but this time I was completely blown away with the terrible service. First - their trucks can only fit a house from 1500-1800 feet. Since you pay by the hour, it can take more than one trip. This info was not told to me - but it was on the confirmation email. What a shock that a 2000 square foot house took 6+ hours to unload. I had to put it in their storage. Three days later it was delivered and took over 10 hours. Extra trips take more time. Several items were broken. On delivery, the mover told me the other crew broke it. I noticed we were missing two ladders a couple days after the move. I called and left a message. No response. I called today and was told they would look into it. No call back. I was told they would email me a form for the broken items. It never came. I don't expect perfection. But two trips for each move and all the broken items are the tipping point. I would NOT recommend these movers. I would encourage people to find a company that can fit all your goods and hopefully not break or lose your things. read more

They must pay people to write these reviews, we hired them for a pretty long move. The guy I spoke with was too lazy to come to our house. He had me e mail him a list, I was 100% honest and listed every item and box with a very accurate description. (This was not my first move) I had sold my home and had to be out, the new buyer was moving in. The only thing I ever got was the guy saying "this might not fit in one truck" . So I got a u haul and moved four loads and resent them the list. On the day they showed up. They loaded up the downstairs of my house. Without any word or warning and the trailer not being full. The driver closed the door and left while we were upstairs. We called the office and the guy answering the phone proceeded to cuss out my son at the top of his voice. It came a really bad storm that night, I had to rent a truck and get people to help me finish the move. I would never ever recommend anyone use this company. If you think you want to hire them go to the Houston BBB look at the rating ( there is not one) . Then ask them WHY they requested BBB NOT to give them a letter rating. If there was a zero on the Yelp rating I would give it! read more

I wish I could write a good review about Apple Mover in Humble since it was recommended by a good friend although he had never used this mover. The moving job was done by a group of young adults around 20 years old, noisy and unprofessional. They talked, sang and shout, kind of careless. The first 10 minutes they already tipped over a dehumidifier and made my carpet all wet. I thought it's fine as long as they did a overall good job. Long story short, after they left the old house a while, we also drove to the new home. We waited for more than an hour before the moving trucks arrived. During a casual chat, a worker said they'd stopped to have lunch and rested during the trip. But when they gave us bill, they charged the traveling time one extra hour, that meant more than $200! We asked for the reasons and the supervisor lied and claimed they drove non-stop but their two trucks had to drive slowly, so it took one extra hour. By that calculation, their trucks had to drive 30 MPH on a US interstate freeway! The workers also took (= stole) some of our newer tools from garage and didn't move into our new home. When we found out later, we called. But after a few days, the answer was they couldn't locate any. Furthermore, their job turned out to be lower than average - Several pieces of furniture either broken or with many scratches. One piece of fine furniture was broken beyond repair, which all we could get reimbursed was a mere 60 cents per pound!!! Many chinaware, some were expensive were broken which they reimbursed by weight again. So a 2 lb serving plate, for example, would be reimbursed $1.20, no matter how expensive its original price was! I definittely would never recommend this mover to any friends. If anyone wants to use this mover, be aware of what had happened to us! read more

We needed help moving from an apartment to our new home. We just needed help with the big stuff (furniture, drawers, bed etc.) It was a job that should not have taken more than an hour. The crew was over 2 hours late and never bothered to call and let us know. My wife was taking the smaller boxes over to the new house while we waited. When they finally showed up, they said they had been busy all day and needed a break. It was a hot day so I gave the crew some water and let them chill out in the AC for a little while. I asked the crew leader if I needed to empty the dresser before they moved it and he said no, because they wrap it with plastic to keep them from falling out. So I placed the jewelry box (contained my watches ) that was on the top inside the drawer and then he wraps it up securely with the plastic roll. Since they were taking a break, I decided to run the rest of our small boxes over to the new house (5 mins away). When I got back we started moving. This was an hour after they showed up. Which would be completely fine if I wasn't charged 200 bucks for their break. I helped the crew move the dresser, bed and couch to the truck and they follow me to the house and unloaded. Everything seemed to go pretty good, so payment was made and i even tipped the crew and bought them an 18 pack of beer. After I get back from the store, I unwrap the dresser and my watches were missing. These were very expensive watches and one was a gift. I call the supervisor and let him know, and he swears there must be a mistake and that they must have fell in the back of the dresser. (obviously I had already searched everywhere before calling). Long story short, I was told there would be an "investigation" and I would be kept "Posted". Three months later nothing has been done. Not even a returned phone call. I was charged almost 500 bucks for a little more than an hours work, and am missing 5 expensive watches. read more
