My nail tech Etianee was on point. I felt like I was talking to my favorite bar tender yet she never lost focus of doing a meticulously perfect job. Sterile use of tools and equipment, trimmed my cuticles gently and properly (because they still look perfect a week later!) made sure she got my approval of the shape she filed my nails, collaborated in my color choice and all! Love her! Overall vibe was energetic yet inviting and I was made to feel comfortable. I really liked the manager too because she was so passionate and engaged as if she were the owner. I am just visiting Daytona Beach for a few months and live in Winter Park which is an hour away. I will travel here in the future just for a mani pedi at the Beauty Lounge, seriously. It's better! The space is very inviting. From the moment you walk into the lobby to the minute you step into the main area and nail room, it's welcoming! I was nicely greeted by Karen whom offered me a yummy berry lemonade they make in house. She also asked if I preferred a cold neck wrap or hot. I chose hot. It was total relaxation from the beginning! I was already hooked before Kate came to get me for my service. Once I got to the nail suite Kate explained the process and each tool and product being used. It was nice to learn and see proper technique being done. The space is intimate as there is one pedicure chair and one manicure station so you truly get the techs undivided attention. My niece and I paid extra for the hot stone pedicure, but the stones were barely warm--definitely not what you'd expect for that service. The pedicure itself felt rushed, steps were clearly skipped, and both of us were cut by files or over-trimmed cuticles. It felt careless and uncomfortable. My mom and I also asked for manicures after, which were $22 each. Her manicure included a lemon scrub, hot towel, and hand massage. Mine, on the other hand, was rushed and sloppy--I was left bleeding from over-cut cuticles, no nail cleaning, uneven filing, and the "hand rub" was so quick it didn't even moisturize my skin. There was still visible dirt under my nails when I left. Oddly enough, during the pedicure, they didn't massage our feet at all--only our legs--which I found strange, especially since I asked specifically for a foot rub. Overall, the experience felt rushed, careless, and unprofessional. I understand when a business gets busy, but the quality of service shouldn't suffer this much. Based on our visit, I would not return or recommend this salon.
