It was quite busy even on a Saturday evening around 6pm. There are also tables inside the shop for dining in. Other than whole cakes, they do have slices of cakes available and other mini desserts + a lot of macarons! We did request the shop to write HBD on the cake, but the staff said they are unable to do it at this location (not sure why, maybe don't have the proper tools?). The bundtinis (mini cupcakes) are a little too tiny. While the bundlets (individual cupcakes) are too big. The prices are on the expensive side in my opinion. Makes you feel like you're paying for the name instead of a good cupcake. Although these mostly sound like criticisms, I will on occasion buy a cake from here for events where I want to bring a cake that is going to be a step up from your run of the mill grocery store cakes, and not likely to disappoint.

The service is consistently warm, and the pastry case is hard to resist. We've tried many of their cakes, and the blackcurrant queen cake is hands down our favorite--tart, elegant, and just sweet enough. Their salted caramel croissant is beautifully laminated and filled with just the right amount of caramel. In fact, their croissants across the board are solid--flaky, tender, and buttery without being greasy. The sourdough bread is excellent, and the espresso drinks are reliably strong and well-crafted. It may look like Paris inside, but don't let that inspire your inner Francophile--the staff are lovely, but no one's following your French. Still, this is the kind of place that keeps regulars coming back. We're definitely among them.
