I came here on a Thursday afternoon, and it wasn't overly packed like the Roosevelt Field location. As soon as I gave my name, I was seen instantly, which I've never experienced at the Garden City location. I came in for a trade-in upgrade. They had me set up my new phone while I was still in the store, and I kept my old phone to transfer everything over. They periodically checked on me to make sure everything was syncing properly. The only thing I didn't like was that they kept switching the person who was helping me. When I'm working with one person, I prefer to stick with that same person throughout the process. The customer service here is lightening quick. As soon as I walked in the door on 3/7/26 around 2:30 pm, sales associate Michelle greeted me with a smile. She was informative and helpful regarding my interest in a laptop purchase. She told me to wait until 3/11 when the new 13 inch MacBook Neo comes out. Base price is $599. What a bargain! I will be returning by the end of this month to check it out. The store was packed, so I was impressed that I did not have to wait for service. I came in for Genius Bar appointment... was in the store from 12:10 - 1:30 pm. They were unable to fix or replace my iPad or AirPods. The rep said my cord for laptop to charge phone/ keyboard is covered under limited 1 yr warranty. It was an added accessory to my MacBook Air. He asked for serial # of my laptop that was purchase in July 2025 & copy of our email receipt... I provided all that he requested then said no I cannot receive a replacement wire. The Store Manager was extremely rude, he told me if Apple Products don't work for me I could go buy Samsung Products. These people need to be fired or go through serious retraining. This is not how you speak to customers... especially loyal Apple consumers that buy iPhones, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac desktop, Mac Mini, iPads, AirPods, mag safe cords, extra long cords, phone cases and etc. Another customer in the store also complained how the charging cords break so easily even the new braided ones. read more

I had a really poor experience and encountered a potential safety hazard that Apple refuses to take responsibility for. After updating my iPhone 15 Plus to iOS 26, it began crashing repeatedly and emitting a strange chemical smell. When I brought it to the Apple Store, I was shocked to learn that the battery had swelled--a clear safety issue. Despite this being a defect that could pose serious risks, the staff offered little help. Their only "solution" was to charge me $425 to replace the whole mainframe. They then suggested a $99 battery replacement but warned that it might not work, and if it didn't, I'd still have to pay another $425 for full repair. That's absurd. What happened to consumer product safety? Apple used to stand behind its products, but this experience showed me how far it has fallen--more focused on profit than customer safety. Also don't even bother contacting Apple support, they'll just tell you they don't know any better cause they're all incompetent. read more

I've gone to this store several times and have made many purchases. I feel that the staff are trained to up-sell everything (watches, accessories, etc). I took my watch back after a scratch that is quite visible and and I couldn't have it fixed because it wasn't "damaged enough." I was tired of AT&T/BodyGuard screen protectors warranty process, associates at this store told me, all I need to do is come back to the store with the screen protector product they sell (Belkin). 3 months after my purchase, my screen cracked, came back to the store and was told they don't do that. Oddly I need to go through the same process as AT&T. SHM. Is it the store/company or is it the staff who are encouraged to up-sell? My kids' phones had cracked screens! What to do? Luckily I bought AppleCare which will replace the screen at $29 a piece. We made an appointment for 5:30 PM on a Thursday, showed up and saw someone within 10 minutes. It turned out that the screen was ok...it was the screen protector that was cracked!!! Is this good or bad? Since I had AppleCare, replacing a cracked screen is $29. Replacing the cracked screen protector is $39?! Ambience: if you've been to one Apple store, you've been to them all. It is clean and much less crowded than the Apple stores in the mall. They check your temperature upon entry. Service: it might have been a slow day, but there were plenty of employees walking about and they are generally friendly and helpful. You are not allowed to browse unescorted. TL/DR: this Apple store location is a great place to go to avoid the usual crowds at the mall. read more

Going to any store during COVID is certainly stressful, and thinking about the masses of people packed into Apple Stores, especially during the holidays, and especially in 2020, can evoke feelings of dread. Needless to say, I was not looking forward to bringing my MacBook in for a necessary repair. I delayed for as long as possible and finally caved. Fortunately, I had a very pleasant experience overall with some minor bumps (mainly time) along the way. To start, I picked this Apple Store because it's one of the few on Long Island not attached to a mall. Even during the winter months, I'd prefer to maximize social distancing, even if I have to wait outside. I would normally make an appointment with the Genius Bar anyway but learned that it's now a requirement during COVID. In fact, even going in to buy something now requires an appointment. I went online and found the appointments to be non-existent but tried every day and finally had some luck (the appointment was for later the following week). On my scheduled appointment day, I grabbed my laptop and headed to the store. Arriving at the store, you'll find that there's a security guard taking temperatures and asking each person to review a sign listing all potential COVID systems and to confirm they have none of them. They also provide guidance on where to stand next so that you're socially distanced from everyone else. From there, an Apple employee stops by with an iPad to confirm your appointment, then tells you to stand by a specific table, also socially distanced. Despite there being many people in the store at once, you're never really within 6 feet of anyone else (except for the occasional person walking by). I was also happy to see hand sanitizer and even monitor wipes at every station. Of course, all employees wear masks and all customers are required to as well. They also had 1 employee sanitizing the store every one of the 3 times I had to stop back here. For this particular appointment, I was assigned to a table, and within minutes, an employee named Gordon came by. Gordon was truly a stellar Apple employee: highly knowledgeable, personable, and efficient. He diagnosed my laptop, explained my options, and even helped me to save some time without my MacBook by explaining I could either drop off my laptop now and have it there for about 2-3 weeks (they had to order the part) or return when the part was in and drop it off at that point with at most a 7-day turnaround. I of course opted for the latter, signed some forms on his iPad and walked out the door. A week later, I got an email confirming my part was in along with a few days grace period before they'd give the part to somebody else. I dropped by without an appointment but was still welcome since this was of course a follow-up. At that point I was only in the store for 3 minutes to drop off my laptop. Thankfully, my laptop was ready just 3 days later. I once again swung by without a formal appointment to pick it up. The Apple employee who helped was so incredibly careful with my laptop, even providing a full diagnostic report and confirming that everything was tested and functioning properly. I almost felt like I was picking up my pet from the vet. It's easy to tell Apple tries hard to maintain the image of product perfection even when it comes to repairs. Every part of the experience is treated with care down to the tiniest detail. Had I only needed to stop by the Apple Store once and pick up my laptop same day or even 1 day later, this review would have been 5 stars (especially because of Gordon). Nevertheless, I dropped off 1 star because, even during COVID, the repair took over a month from me booking the Genius Bar appointment to me picking up my repaired laptop. Ohh Murphy's Law... you got me last night. My desk monitor in my home office fell off from it's perch and crash landed on my 3 weeks new iPhone. The scene had all the elements of a WWE TLC match but with Apple products instead of people. It was carnage. As my blood pressure quickly rose and the battered tech lay on the table, many a curse word was said. Suddenly, hope was restored as I remembered I had signed up for Apple Care when I recently purchased my phone. I sprung into action and immediately headed to a nearby Apple Store. If you're clumsy like me and you invest some money in an iPhone for yourself, I highly encourage getting Apple Care. It was a pretty busy day, perhaps even more so than one might expect, considering the latest public health situation that is amongst us at the moment. It was nice to see that all the employees were taking extra measures in the use of latex gloves, frequent alcohol wiping of all surfaces and devices, using hand sanitizing often, etc. Kudos to the hard working staff, some of whom seemed a bit nervous with the whole situation and others who were working as if it was just another day in the office. From start to finish, I was was able to get my phone fixed and back in my hands in under two hours. Not too shabby at all. Thanks to Apple for saving my day and thanks for being staffed with such a helpful, knowledgeable and well-trained team of people. read more

We came in here to replace the battery of my husband's iPhone. We were told the approximate wait time was an hour and a half. However, possibly because of fewer customers today, the estimate wait time shorten to an hour. Staffs are friendly and helpful! I also had my battery lifespan checkup, and the result was good. Purchased a $50 brown leather case from Apple Amazon. Amazon does not cover it and said to go to the manufacturer. I go to the Apple Manhasset store and get told that purchases on Amazon are not covered under the warranty and to go back to Amazon. Or I have to make a Genius Bar appointment 2 weeks later or so and go back for the case. Are you serious? Came here to get a new laptop a couple of months ago. Came here again to get a new iPhone a couple of days ago. Both experiences were great. Everyone is very knowledgeable and helpful. The second you get in the store, you are greeted and put on a list of people waiting to get assistance. Usually someone is over within a minute or two to help you find what you're looking for. The layout of the store is very simple. iPhones at one table, iPads at another, and so on. It's all apple products obviously, but they have pretty much everything you need. They even had these really helpful devices to put my screen protector on my new phone. Every time I try to do it myself there are always bubbles and it's so annoying. We ended only spending about 20 minutes tops in the store before walking out with a brand new IPhone. Really fast and efficient. This was peak hours on a weekend too! Very impressed. read more

Drove out to this Apple location to fix my broken MacBook screen. I was able to make the appointment the same day. There was no wait in the store either I was serviced right away. I didn't end up getting the screen fixed since the price of it was half of what a new MacBook would be. Customer service was great they gave me a few different options on what I should do. I would definitely recommend coming to this location as opposed to others in local malls. read more

Back when I first received the iPhone, my phone froze and my number did not work on my old phone leaving me with two useless phones, but Apple fixed that for me in under 30 minutes. I just got my first MacBook Pro from this location and it was a good experience overall. I don't shop on the weekends because it's always so crowded and I can't stand the madness. Went here on a Wednesday after 4pm and it was slightly busy but not like crazy weekend busy. I was able to get in and out like within 15 mins. Before this the Apple store in queens center mall was my local store but this location is better for parking especially. There's no struggle to find parking. Easily made an appointment online to buy a new iMac. Showed up, quickly took my temperature and into the store I went. I must have asked the sales associate 1000 questions... I would have choked me if I were him. He was super pleasant and patient and explained everything I needed to know. What I really appreciate... he didn't try to just upsell me. I was looking at the 27" iMac for my home office and from what I saw online and THOUGHT I needed, was expecting to spend about 4k+. He was very honest and explained a lot of what I thought I needed was unnecessary unless I was making movies or into serious gaming. All in all, he patiently spent an hour with me, I left with a beautiful iMac I am extremely happy with, and only spent about $2,500. Every single time I come to this store, I leave happy. This was my first time visiting this Apple store during the pandemic. I came an hour or two prior to closing. They were very organized outside and inside the store. There was security organizing everyone into lines prior to entering. It appeared to be separate priorities depending on what you told them you were visiting for. The store has a new set up with plexiglass dividers at the counters when you immediately walk in. You cannot walk into the store and browse as you would have before. First....make an appointment. Do not come here without an appointment cause you will be waiting a long time. This is one busy place. I checked in with Debbie and she was very upbeat and friendly. She talked with me about my reason for the visit and checked me in promptly. My appointment was at 2:40 and I was seen by my Genius expert Peter at about 3:00. Don't expect to be seen exactly at your appointment time. This place is like a doctors office. Other patients go long and you always have to wait. Peter (sporting the very hip man bun) was super attentive and went over all my concerns and answered all of my questions. He even went and verified some information with the Supreme Master of Genius while I was there. (I made up that name). There was also another Genius guy next to Peter who chimed in to discuss my concerns while he was working with his customer (Multi-tasker Genius rocking the cool long salt and pepper goatee-shout out to you too). I have visited this store before just to buy headphones, but never for an actual appointment. It was a great experience. Geniuses? No, idiots. And rude arrogant idiots. Every time I find it necessary to go to this store, I invariably have an excruciatingly horrible experience. It's the only place that one can drop 1000s of dollars and be treated with the maximum of inconsideration and disregard. Yesterday was the penultimate bad experience. New iPad (the old one wouldn't charge and they 'no longer fix that'). The 'genius' started a software update before data transfer. After 40 minutes, it still hadn't updated. It stalled because the Apple Store DOESN'T HAVE SUFFICIENT WI-FI. when I pointed this out to the employee, he started relentlessly ridiculing me in front of a large group of customers. It was outrageous. I only stayed to do the iCloud transfer at the store because I was trading in the old one. I had to pay full price, take my old one home and will need to go back. When I got home, the update and data transfer literally took a total of 7 minutes. read more

I just was at the Apple store in Manhasset yesterday evening. It is pretty small and under construction. I just needed to service my iPhone 10 because the Face ID needed reset. All of the blue shirt Apple employees were either clumped together talking to each other or wandering around. Finally I waived down one and she told me "do you have a reservation "? I said no and she directed me to the only guy in the store that took them. Finally after two customers he said it will be one hour and a half for product but no appointments for service until Sat( four days from now) Wow I told them I would try the Manhattan store. What bothers me is that when you call to the store they don't identify themselves with an ID # they just say their name like This is Edd...... so if you have questions and you get answers from them and later you try to use this answers for reference or to explain a situation they say something totally different and they only say sorry for the confusion or wrong information but you can never say this person with the name of ... and ID# 00000 actually asure to me this....... I think it's probably part of their tactics to sell more phones instead of helping you and create more confusion with the clientele. I think the management should consider to present more respect to the clients and try to find a better way to identify the people who work for this place or APPLE in general. read more
