If I can give them zero star, I will do. Worst Apple store in the world. My AirPods stopped working after couple of months and when I visited the store to replace it. They were very nice until I refused to buy apple care. OMG they transferred to very rude staff and they would like to change only the case although everything are not working. I asked to meet with the manager Stephen who was very very very rude and said this is only option change case only or buy apple care. Today, I gave the WTC store visit and I have no words to describe how are they professional. Everything finished less than 5 minutes and replaced all AirPods without any problems and they were laughing when I told them my experience with the Staten Island store because it doesn't make sense to change the case only although everything are not working. Apple management, please pay attention to this store, if you are care about your customer experience. I left the place with a horrible experience. read more

This is one of my favorite Apple Stores for one specific experience. A few years back, I got mugged on the subway (snatched my phone out of my hand and ran out the subway doors before I could even react) and lost my beloved iPhone. I was distraught and since iPhone didn't have insurance, I knew I'd have to pay the full non-commitment price if I wanted another one ($400? $600? I forget). I decided to go home to Staten Island that weekend to pick up my old AT&T phone so that I'd at least have some workable, functioning phone until I figured out what to do. I stopped by the mall and went to the Apple Store on the way. I was browsing and looking at the phones and despairing over the one I just lost when an Apple employee came up to me to ask if he could help me. I told him my story and after I finished, he told me he'd be willing to help me and said he'd sell the phone to me at the discounted 2-year contract price. I was so elated and I almost had a happy heart attack in the store. He summoned another employee to help me check out and requested him to put in the discount code. I must say.. I usually don't like to leave negative feedback at all and think about things and sleep on it before I say something. My experience is beyond ab-normal today. I went in with a purchase made 1-1/2 month ago & the product I purchase was a repeat item that use for my business.. the salesman that help then told me and referred me a product.. to do a job that I needed it to do. When the product failed the salesman told me I can come & and replace my items. I have spend many dollars in this branch last year and to date. I spoke to the manager, Joe Abel, who I will remember as the manager who I had to go above any consumer would go. He refused to service me for the main principle of his morals to keep his word. My screen was broken on my iPad from using a case that the sales man referred. I told him the issue & he didn't care. I went to out of the called the Corp office & spend more then an hours to have them understand that their end was wrong and service me. They said the store might take it back but it's up the manager (who already refused) the corp agent did her best to tell the manager to accept my broken product & fix for free due to its error. The manger still refused. The Corp agent was more the helpful to overnight me a box to send my product to they Corp office to handle issues like this. When I went back to the store to pick up my stuff that I decided no to return no more.. that same manager Joe Abel refused to give back my owe merchandise & let me leave with it. To the extent that a cop had to be called cause their security staff was advised to tell me to leave with my property.. (wouldn't that be called stealing by apple?) I have been here many time! I have purchased many times for myself.. my family.. and for my business.. there as never need a time where I went here and left with a purchase. Even after this seen I left purchasing 1 IPod Touch and a Apple TV. After all that wouldn't you suggest that I go else where? Why should me, who shops here & do as much business with a Corp company like Apple & own stocks for years here.. be force to stop cause of an employee who is not able to make a managerial decision & avoid issues like calling Corp office to approve a transaction & call cops to get back my own merchandise that I wanted to take back and leave with? Maybe coming in with a new friend and protest might make his superiors change mind on keeping in necessary employees who don't deserve such title. Wait time was ridiculous! Price to repair my phone was outrageous! Didn't feel like I received good service. Their suggestion was to spend MORE money and buy something new. Pre-paid for iPhone 8 Plus on Apples website , because the red special edition wasn't available at some locations. I arrived at Apple Staten Island about an hour later and they told me that they don't see the order, it hasn't been transferred to the store? (even after logging in to show them item was purchased) apparently online purchases for in store, is handled by a different service, I was here with my two children, and waited 45 minutes to be serviced, instead of assisting me they actually made me chat online on one of the IMAC's with a chat rep who said the order was still processing like an hour after I purchased it, and they needed it to be finalized??? after messaging for about 10 minutes I figured let me just cancel this order and buy the item in store wish I would've thought of this sooner I would've saved alot of time, terrible customer service. read more

Look...Apple has the market in smartphones and tablets covered so they can afford to skimp on the customer service. That's why I am writing this review. I had a problem with my phone- I stopped in here on a slow weekday, and the first thing the "genius" says is "do you have an appointment?" I look around at the empty seats in disbelief and explain that I can wait or make an appointment another time. He asked what my problem is and I go ahead and explain it. He proceeded to talk down to me like I was an infant and refused to listen to anything that I had to say, only saying that it would cost $200.00+ to repair (after he told me it was a known issue with the hardware and that the phone was ONE month past the BS Apple limited warranty). I guess there is nothing that you can do- their products are incredibly intuitive and easy to use, which is why everyone has them. I think you mix apple + SI attitude and you get a bad situation. read more

So i came here on a sunday cause the are giving free kids camp classes . Coding amd others and we reserve the space so my daugther can have the class . She got the music class and the coding class . It was sumuch fun i ever learn . Entretaining and educating. Thanls to the staff wich are really easy to talk and nice . We are coming here on sundays to take the free classes now . I love Apple stores and this location is one of the few reasons I go to Staten Island. It is full of gadgets and goodies for all the tech geeks. While I do not have a mac...I have an ipod...and love to check out the items I can not afford. Great place to buy gift cards too. read more

This store is crazy busy all of the time but they have a lot of "blue shirts" around looking to help you. There are computers, laptops and devices all around that you can use. There are lots accessories along the walls and you can purchase gift cards. If you want to speak to someone at the Genius Bar you need an appointment. Since it's busy you have to be on time because I've seen them turn people away that are two minutes late. My lock button on my iPhone was broken so I called for an appointment and they told me to back up my phone before I came in. They looked at my phone and since it was only 5 months old they gave me a new phone without any charges. I love Apple products- I have an iPhone and a Macbook Pro. I highly recommend Apple TV if you have Apple products. It's a small box that hooks up to your TV and you can mirror anything from your devices onto your TV without having to use an HDMI cord. It's especially useful for watching Netflix and streaming music. Great service at this store for great products! read more

Store is always crowded, but it seems like half of the people in there work for apple, but are never around when you need help. Apple has great products but I recomend if you must buy in a store, travel away from this one. I do have to say, if there is a problem and you need the apple I care team, they are very helpfull, and will get your issue fixed. That is the only plus to this store. read more

Garbage customer service all around the table. Standard operations perhaps is shifting away from exchanging the phones when they have situations. Rather than believe any of the customers. They insist it's software. It's likely not and il have to come back after I leave first. Always crowded. Poor product displays and demos. Employees look a bit unprofessional in their grooming. Brought an 8 month old MacBook Air in for 2 USB ports working so it can't be charged. Said it was minor but they had to keep it. I protested cause I only have this one computer and don't use phone much because of poor eyesight. Quoted me 7-10 business days but said it would be much less. OK. We're on 9th business day and it's in CA waiting for a logic board. I feel so abused by this company. Like they can do whatever they want. And I can't speak to anyone but a "manager" at the store who was not. Two people at Apple support who couldn't even get the manager to come to the phone for them and another Senior Technical Advisor today who also couldn't connect me or do anything for me. I'm sure these poor people are paid peanuts but their computers cost big bucks and once the company has it you get no service. I am furious. I love Apple! The iphone and MacBook Pro are attached to my hip at this point and are great for services and apps. My issue is, as others have stated, this store is always jam packed and mostly with passersby who like to gawk and the shiny products on the tables. These people are not there to buy, because if they were Apple could make their annual quota on this store alone. The staff is always plentiful but it does take some stalking to get one to help. I also don't like the cell phone registers. I get it's cool and the future and yadda yadda but one line in the center and/or side of the store or little clusters everywhere causing traffic? This has got to be the worst customer service of all the Apple stores I've visited over 16 years. Apple Genius Bar is no more than blame case user and misrepresentation of the customer. Furthermore, their inability to keep records on your Genius Bar reservations is scary to the point that your visit record is not in their system. The formula of these events establishes a negative message about Apple and Apple products. Beware of Mathew, the location manager. He is the worst at customer service.
