I was in the market for some new AirPods, and since I had the day off from work I wanted to pick them up in person instead of having them shipped to my home. Usually when I purchase Apple products I'll order them online for an in-store pickup option. My go-to location is White Plains, but since they didn't have the product I wanted in stock the next closest location was Greenwich. It's to too far of a drive for me, so after I got confirmation my order was ready I headed over. This Apple Store is located on Greenwich Ave, surrounded by a number of other commercial establishments. This is a really lovely area - Greenwich is a wealthy area and I can totally see it walking up and down the Avenue. It looks like they kept some of the architecture from the previous tenant, as the fascia is donned with white columns that helps it blend into the high-end aesthetics of its surroundings. Walking in, I was immediately greeted by SPACE - the store is huge with super high ceilings which makes the entire place seem almost grand. The store is in an L shape - the majority of the merch and such are in view, but you can take a turn towards the back of the store which gives way to a few more displays. Anyway, I was greeted by an employee and they were swift to look up my order and get my purchase. The entire process was pretty seamless, the employee asked if I had any questions and even offered to go over the features of the product. Before I knew it, I was out the door. Overall, I had a good experience at this Apple. It's not the closest location to me, but I wouldn't be against returning here if a situation presented itself. read more

I brought my devices to the store because they wouldn't sync. I was told I would have Lamont help me. Unfortunately when Theresa couldn't figure out how to help the gentleman opposite me, she asked another associate to help him and she walked over to me. This was my second visit to the Greenwich store and both times I was stuck, yes stuck, with Theresa. She has zero patience and couldn't help me anyway. She kept saying that she didn't have time for me, asking why my devices aren't syncing. That's what brought me into the store! She eventually asked another young man to help me, I wish I remembered his name. He was very knowledgeable and patient. Why is she still there if she has to pass customers on to a real genius? Me: I bought a new MacBook Air here last week. I'd like to get a keyboard and an extra power cord for it. Assistant: I don't know if the Touch ID on the keyboard will work if it's paired with a MacBook. Hold on. [goes into the back room...returns...]. It might not work. We aren't sure. Great for an ape store but the wait can be a bit long to speak for someone. When you do they are very friendly and helpful. The parking is hard on a weekend, and i would recommend coming on a weekday and parking in the back, which is behind CVS on the other side. It normally has parking spots there and walking is easy around there. read more

Is this the worst apple store? Perhaps although it is equally difficult to imagine that my repeated experiences of nihilist resignation are outliers. All apple stores are heinous. Why? 1) the "geniuses" are no such thing and they have NEVER on a single occasion resolved my issue. There are a few employees here I love. They're understaffed. BUT they stop answering the phone WELL before closing time, which would be fine, but they don't tell you!!! I just wanted to ask a super easy question, ended up sitting on the phone, waiting for an answer for over 20 mins. If they're not going to answer, they should get a message that says that. Personally, that's bad management. It just rings for several minutes then hangs up on you, forcing you to go through the phone menu again if you want to try again. It's just unprofessional. Inconsistent with other Apple experiences. I love Apple and don't leave negative reviews, especially because I know there are good people who work here... but I also know there are bad people who work here; people who say they are helping you and then just leave, never returning. ... I went again this past Sunday, was greeted by Bobby who was absolutely delightful, kind, patient and knowledgeable. The staff are all eager to assist, and the Genius Bar staffed with experienced problem solvers who really do know all about their products and seem to speedily resolve any issues you may have. This is the worst service I have ever received. They skipped over my appointment 3 times. Waited over 5 hours and still have not been seen.

Nothing special and nothing too terrible. The service was fine, especially for the day after christmas. However, I did make an appointment online and told to sit down to wait. Approached by an employee 15 min after my scheduled time, but not surprising. Honestly, it's the apple style that erks me. The message that everything is at your fingertips but getting what you want is just out of reach. To be fare, that is more of a critique of product than location. However, I felt less than empowered to advocate for what I needed from the service provider. read more

We walked in intending to pay cash for an unlocked, brand new iPhone (nearly $800), and not a single employee acknowledged us even though there were various employees at the store. It felt like we were completely invisible. Perhaps we didn't look like the clientele that the employees are trained to sell to (notwithstanding the fact that we have spend thousands on Apple products and we were going to pay outright for the phone). They were however able to sell me the same item and I was told to cancel my precious order and wait for a refund. Excellent service picky clientele. Most of the people giving terrible reviews have probably never worked retail. If the doors are closed at 7:05, it's for a reason. Just because people are still inside a store does not mean they need to give you the time of day. Respect the workers and their time and you'll get the same in return... Wait times are long at the Genius Bar so definitely book an appointment ahead of time with their app or online. Avoid going on a weekend that's always prime time. Online support and purchasing is WAY easier but it's nice to come in and talk to some really cool people. You can tell they all really get along with each other and will try to get your issues resolved as best they can. I like the demos they have and the fact I can try on a lot of cases-ALTHOUGH the selection could be better. TLDR - picky Greenwich clientele, cool workers, be patient and they will work with you. They replaced the screen but had to take off the screen protector in order to do so (and it couldn't be put back). My laptop screen went completely black and I needed to get it fixed ASAP. The Greenwich store was one of the only locations that had open appointments the next morning so I signed up for a spot and arrived the next day. The staff got me in for my appointment quickly and within a few minutes they had my computer hooked up and gave me a run through of my options. The staff at the Greenwich Apple store are so kind and helpful. Seriously blown away by my experience. They always do the best they can to help me with computer issues and almost always end up doing the repair for free and if it's not free they only charge for the part itself (no extra hourly labor charges). I don't have to worry about them trying to upsell me on things like other computer repair places.The Genius Bar is one of the reasons why I will continue to buy only Apple in the future. Amazing, amazing!! I had an issue with my fairly new Apple watch. Although Bobby is officially in sales, he recognized me from when I bought the watch there. He "held my hand" as he had to reset the watch. He updated the watch also. He walked me through it so "perhaps" I can do it myself next time it's needed. He's patient, kind, personable yet professional. He's proud of the Apple products and encouraged me to come for classes. He represents the best of Apple staff. Thank you! read more

I have never had a bad experience at an Apple store and this store is no exception. Apple customer service amazes me. Went in to check my phone battery--they did an "exam" and went over my options. Went back the next night to replace the battery. Anna, the first person I saw, was very attentive and friendly. I did not get the tech's name but he was friendly and competent. My phone was ready in an hour, just as they promised. My phone is on its last legs, but they didn't push a new one and treated me respectfully. I wish other businesses would copy their business model and customer service. While waiting for my phone, I went to Sweetgreen up the road in Greenwich and had walked out, as I have done a few times. One unhappy looking person working there and a long line. You can't compare electronics to salads, but the difference in the way the two businesses are run is so obvious. read more

I love Apple. I'd go so far as to say I'm an Apple whore; I have an iPad, Macbook Pro, iTouch, and a Mac family computer. And yes, I may not have the iPhone, so maybe I'm not a 100% bonafide Apple whore until I get that, but I need some variety in my life. (It's Swype. My Droid is wonderful, but that iPhone? Sleek, sexy, and light as can be. Dayum. I'm experiencing some seriously technology lust right now. Like many Apple stores, this place is huge and spacious. Unlike the one in the Grand Central or in the Westchester, Greenwich Ave's Apple store provides plenty of butt room. No random people accidentally brushing up against you in here (though I could be wrong, we came at a very slow time, since it was around dinner). The store is shaped like an L. First things you see are the iPads and iPhones. Macbooks are toward the back, as are accessories. I didn't see what was on the other side, just that the Genius bar was in the way back once you make a left. Staff were very happy and welcoming, as you come to expect when visiting Apple. My mom's phone kept locking up, so the guy taught her how to do a hard reset and said to come back if it didn't work. i think I'd come back just to check out that iPhone. Seriously. read more

I'll echo the sentiments of several other reviews: Don't come here if you are a person that values your time. Came to here to get my dad's iPhone 5 battery checked out. It drains faster than a pool with a sinkhole in the middle of it. We submitted a ticket with the "Genius Bar" and after 15 minutes we were told that they were ready to see us. We sat down at the help area. 60 minutes later, his battery's down 50% we're still waiting for help. Employees here, while courteous when they talk to you, are completely clueless when it comes to customer service. I see more employees walking around and twiddling on their phones than those who are servicing customers right now. When I casually walked by the iPad area, an employee came up to me within 10 seconds asking if they could help me buy something. Moral of the story: You'll only get an employee's attention here if you're willing to drop $$$$ on the latest iPad/iWatch/iWhatever. Don't come here if you expect help fixing a problem with product you've already purchased. Update: We walked out after 90 minutes of waiting. I'm never coming back here.
