Excellent value. It's not directly on a main street, so it's in a good quiet location for a hotel. Central to several stores and restaurants. Sufficiently cleaned. Staff is friendly and offers a quick snack for breakfast. Highly recommend!

Son's legs covered in flea bites

After we left this hotel, we noticed our kids getting itchy. After we stopped at a rest stop, we saw that their arms and legs were covered in flea bites. The reason we know these are flea bites is because my son has the same allergic reaction when this happened to him before. After we asked my son about the bite marks, he said he had woken up at one in the morning, feeling a bug jumping on him, but didn't think to tell us (ASD at it's best). Despite our attempts at calling them, they never made attempts to contact us back. We have reported them to the health department in Washington state because this is unacceptable. Please avoid this hotel at all costs. The breakfast is a "to-go" breakfast that includes granola bars and oatmeal packets that you have to take back to your room to heat/make. I'm so glad it was a short stay.

We visited Spokane in late June, and ended up staying here because the hotel accepted my last-minute bid on Priceline. What did I like? - The room was clean and big. - Everything worked. - They have a pool and even opened it a little early so I could swim in the morning. What was not great? - The (kind-of loud) mini-fridge was next to the bed. Would I stay here again? Sure!

Lots of towels for one gal!

I stayed here for two nights and I think it was a pretty good value for the money. It was so clean that I decided to stay for another night, I mean, literally immaculate, and I'm pretty picky : ) I would stay there again. I lucked out because I think I got a good room - there were literally no bad smells and the room was well-equipped with a new microwave, and mini-fridge. Also, the TV was new. It's a great value for the $. I only subtracted one star b/c the first morning, I believe it was the 28th of June, some people walked in and helped themselves to the continental breakfast, but I don't think they were guests who were staying at the hotel. I mean, they were dressed decently and didn't smell or anything, but I could tell they were free loading. After I returned to my room, I saw them walk off, but they didn't stop at their room, or car or anything. I assume that they were just people who live at an apartment nearby.

We stayed on the top floor facing north with a view below of the First Interstate Center which is a short journey using the covered skywalk. It wasn't busy at this time in early February and the common areas were quiet, though we've been there during New Year's Eve when it's pretty bustling. We usually book the Penthouse King Suite with fireplace, which is as spacious as a small apartment with 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette/bar area with mini fridge. Rooms have always been spotless. The bed is super comfortable. Robes are provided as well as extra blankets. We always bring our own Firestick with us when we travel, but we've noticed in every room that we've ever stayed at here that the TV input is not able to be changed to accommodate plugging into the HDMI port. Table 13 restaurant was closed for renovations, but the dining lounge was open and we get consistently good service and food at a reasonable price there. Room service breakfast for two cost about $70 (including service fee and tip) for a full breakfast entree, a fruit plate, and a kid's plate of pancakes. I wish that parking was more economical. At $28 per night, it's a bit steep. For comparison, we stayed the next night at the nearby Montvale Hotel where parking is $10 in their lot. Overall a very nice hotel and conveniently located in downtown Spokane.

We were very…read moreexcited about how convenient this place is forgetting over to the convention center, theater, downtown and the park alongside the river! Located on the south side of the river and what appears to be the heart of downtown, it was relatively easy to get to, and literally across the street from where we were seeing a show. The place is really large with something like 14 or 15 levels, and a room that we very much enjoyed! The beds were large, the mattresses were really nice and the view was lovely! The shower was also quite solid. It was one that did not have a door, but was fashioned such that you didn't get water all over the bathroom floor. It also had one of the best showerheads we've ever experienced! It was like getting sprayed off with a warm hose. It was a bummer that they didn't have a pool and hot tub here, but the workout facilities were really nice, and if you are looking for a pool, staying here, you get access to the pool and hot tub at the sister hotel downtown. We didn't make use of it, but it's a nice offer. We were about five minutes from downtown, and walked to a couple of restaurants for both dinner and breakfast. Parking was easy with an option for self parking or valet. The parking garage was connected to the building, and overall made things very easy. I really went back-and-forth between a four and five on this property, but overall it was a really nice spot with nice amenities and the pool was really the only thing that was lacking. It gets the five star bump!

Pros + water pressure works well for showers + free breakfast, coffee, & water + free internet + small gym available (peloton bike, treadmill, weights, etc) + small indoor pool up to 5 ft, hot tub, steam room & sauna room + there's a small outdoor area with tables and chairs so you can have lunch or hang out + there are stairs on both sides of the hotel, which is really convenient since one of the elevator was not working Cons - the outlet plugs for charging by the bedside do not work well, they don't charge. Everything isn't walking distance, such as restaurants, bars and stores. The river is just right by the hotel so you can see it if you walk out.

It's easy to get to but there are pros and cons to that - as it's in a very popular area, with a college nearby, tons of restaurants with zero tables (all reserved, even in the middle of the week), and just a medium walk to the big Riverside mall and the famous Spokane falls, not to mention an events center where, apparently, a major concert was happening on the night of our stay (thus the sold out-ed-ness of everything, I guess?). Bummer about the crowdedness and the busyness. We heard rumors about this being one of Spokane's most haunted hotels and I can see how one might get a vibe that there's presence in the hotel. It was built in 1899, was abandoned for decades, and renovated. They did a beautiful job keeping up the historic aspects of the furnishings, and even the music in the halls was a little spooky. But rest assured, there were no spirits haunting our unit! Our room was adjacent to the Events Center and the building is structured such that we didn't hear the noise from the event going on at the time unless we put our ear to their door down the hall. It is easy to get lost because our room was in the 300's numbers but on the second floor, while other rooms in the 300's are on the third floor. There are two sets of elevators that take you to different parts of the connected buildings. If you're looking for the fitness center in the basement, don't use the elevator from the lobby or that will put you into the restaurant below. The amenities were great. It was like an entire apartment with a full kitchen and all the kitchenware to make it feel like home, plus it had a walk-in pantry. There was a big screen TV in every room and it was easy to hook up our own Firestick. I wished it had a second bathroom, and more hangers, as it does accommodate 4 people. The shower could use a shelf -- you have to put your bath toiletries on the floor of the shower. Bath robes and decor throughout made it cozy. The water vapor electric fireplace was a nice touch in the living room and we had a north facing view of the city surroundings. There was a dedicated room for washer and dryer, and they provide the detergents. The parking lot is small (about 15 spaces), and there's an overflow lot further away. There are several entry/exit doors on both First Av and Monroe St so that's a little confusing, but load in at the front entrance. It's conveniently located near the Fox and Bing theaters and several dining options. Our stay included free breakfast at Rosie's Restaurant. Overall a very nice stay!
