It seems other than a comment in May of 2021, everything else has been much older. It's been a tough almost 11/2 years for this business, as it's been for many others. In order to keep up any business, you need customers. Both of the staff my wife and I have met have been very helpful and considerate to everyone that comes in. We know, to some, improvements may be needed, although I know with a increase in business, they can certainly make these changes. We were in several times this past week and attendance was weak, although it was the holiday weekend. One day, there were many families, taking the advantage of a great promotion they were offering. I was wonderful to see families bowling together, helping each other learn this great sport. If we can support Apple Valley Bowl, it will continue to be this togetherness for all. This place is awful. Lane consoles are falling apart. Balls come back, eventually, with non-oil associated residue on them. Oil patterns are terrible if there is oil on the lanes at all. Most of the ball return table fans are disabled. Pinsetters jam up every 2 frames and the service is garbage. Watch out for the crater size holes in the parking lot that have been there for years. read more

I honestly had no idea that this place was even here until a friend pointed it out. I took a look online and saw the awesome deals offered almost every night ($1 beers? $1 games? yes please!) so we checked it out. Now, the deals start pretty late. 9pm on a Wednesday is a tough sell for me since I'm usually going to bed not much later than that. We got there, got situated with our shoes and picked out a ball and then headed to the bar to warm up. I was ecstatic to see the variety of beers offered - an entire selection of Southern Tier, plus cider and other options rather than the standard Miller Lite/Bud Light that most bowling alleys offer. We were able to get through 3 games in a relatively short period of time and were surprised to find that we were literally the only customers in the place after 9:30pm. The league cleared out after 9pm and then it was just us and the staff. They were friendly and didn't seem to mind us taking up their time, but I felt bad. For such a good deal, I would have expected more people to take them up on the offer. Afterwards, we went across the street to Sliders - definitely an ideal setting for an after-bowling bite! read more

Clean bowling establishment, newer shoes, and friendly staff. Ball selection is a little disappointing, but I don't attribute that to their rating. By that I mean all of the lower weight balls have small finger holes, making it hard for someone with big fingers to use a lower weighted ball. Was here for cosmic bowling one night, it was pretty filled up and the atmosphere was pretty fun. Only thing that sucked was the video screen came down right in front our our lane, pretty distracting. I checked out their 'pro' shop and bought some shoes, nice guy working the place, left a good impression. Other than that the score system is easy to use and prices are very reasonable. I was here on Friday night with a group of nine people. Considering how busy it was when we arrived at 8:30, the wait for lanes was pretty short, only about 20-25 minutes. The general experience was pretty typical of such a venue. The bathrooms were very clean. I was looking forward to Cosmic bowling kicking in at 10, but it was quite disappointing to say the least. The alley started emptying out between 9:45 and 10, and by 10:15 we were one of only a handful of groups left. We only stayed until 10:30ish, and when we went to check out, it seemed everyone was trying to do so at the same time, with only one guy behind the counter. We waited with our group for about 20 minutes, and finally had to leave them there to pay for the group. The thing is, this venue has the opportunity to be amazing. Their lighting and party ambiance is there in full force. The music videos they played were all over the place and every single one cut out or had to buffer, or repeated after one or two songs, which killed the party vibe. If this alley could get the music situation under control and did some good PR to get a fun (or any!) crowd in, it could definitely be a Friday night hot spot! read more

My husband and I took our 8-year-old son to Apple Valley Bowl tonight to redeem a gift certificate we won in a raffle. The employee at the front counter was extremely pleasant and helpful. We needed assistance with some shoe swaps and a reset to our lane after our first game and he was patient and accommodating. The shoes were new and very clean. The snack bar employee was very nice when we ordered a pitcher of soda. The building has the ambiance and decor of a classic bowling lane. Some areas are a little worn and dated (carpet, flooring, lockers) but it added to the experience. Because we redeemed a gift certificate, I can't comment on the value but I would return and recommend Apple Valley Bowl for a fun family night. read more

Went with friends out for a night of fun bowling and when we were all paid went to lanes a signed and noticed that there was no a.c. When we went to bar area felt.the a.c. on other side which was not being used. Confronted desk staff about why they were not putting paying customers on air condition side and we got no response but that we didn't bowl more than a game and half which staff stated. Which if we weren't sweating so much cause thermostat said 86 degrees we would have stayed. When we stated that all customers there should get their money back or switch sides they laughed. Didn't realize that making paying customers to sweat on a humid day was funny. We have been there numerous times but will not be back ever and will continue to write bad reviews about establishment due to email never being responded too about issue. read more

One of the worst places I have ever been to, first of all the food is made by a greasy 40 year old guy who looked as if he had the flu the pizza is frozen and the Buffalo wings were rubber. When I first walked in two greasy people greeted us with sniffles he handed us 10 year old shoes that smelt of mold with large tears in them. As soon as we set up, the chairs were falling apart with yellow glue dripping from the bottom. All the bowling balls are cheap with large cracks and dents, the lanes are crooked. Since the beginning the lanes messed up with the 20+ years of wear. Then 20 minutes into our game the lanes got stuck and did Not work. As we told the worker he told us "our shenanigans finally caught up with us" then he smirked with his yellow teeth. He slowly walked over and made "fixed" it. We were going to play 3 games however 1/3 through the experience we left the grease shack and left. Never going back there again. read more
