Chicken appetizer is especially tasty although I have it without the coleslaw as I am a super taster, therefore allergic to cilantro, ergo it tastes like soap. I have always come to Applebee's because of the food. However, this time around our server was very rude and gave us bad service. Her name is Debra C. I don't know why she is in this industry. She never smiled at us. She was not courteous. She was always in a rush and did not provide a good service for us. Thus, low tip. We came eat a early dinner we sat down and ordered I ordered the wonton chicken tacos and a Side Onions rings my wife ordered chicken Alfredo, we started to eat my wonton chicken tacos were cold I thought it was just that one so I really tried to eat the next taco, and yup it was the same cold, my wife kept telling me her Alfredo was Dry" well we ask to talk to the manager Sydney P. I find this location mediocre. No one was in the front to assist us to be seated. There were 3 groups of people who were waiting. It took awhile before we got seated. Ambiance is dim. Floor is messy. I just got back from eating an early dinner here with my family and I have to say I am very impressed with the entire experience! Our waitresses name was Z and she was absolutely amazing! She was on top of our food and drinks and even came back right on time to take our order for happy hour! I ordered the bourbon street chicken and shrimp which came out in perfect time and was nice and hot. The chicken was juicy and the shrimp was very flavorful! I loved that the entire group of staff member were all very attentive and ensuring our table was always cleared of dirty dishes and not to mention Z decided to surprise me with a birthday dessert and a staff birthday wish! I have never been this upset about the service here. We get seated at an empty section & how is everyone else that gets seated after eating there meal before us? After more than an hour later we get our food & the server brought out my food dried & cold when I asked for extra Alfredo sauce I think ok I'll just remind him about my extra sauce & I'll wait to eat my food when my server Ethan brings it out. I hear the table booth sitting next to us ask for a side of marinara sauce & salsa & of course they got there side that we're asked for. My food did not get eaten. I'm waiting for more than 20 min for my last dollarita drink & he brings out our check & never adds it. I choose this place for a nice birthday dinner with my family but I was honestly very disappointed. Came here to watch a playoff football game but they said can't have sound. Apparently, it costs $10,000 per year for sound for restaurants . And it wasn't like this before the pandemic. Some of our favorite happy hour specials included the Grilled Chicken Wontons, Steak Quesadillas, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, and the Boneless Wings. The presentation was very good, and the portions for the price during happy hour were excellent. In regards to the Any Burger Monday specials, I was surprised by the quality and presentation of the meal. It resembled a burger you might get a specialty pub. The meat was perfectly cooked, and the garnish was excellent. During the football season, you can order any burger for $6.99. You can't beat it. Try the American Burger or the All Day Brunch Burger if you're craving a taste of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Several beers and drinks are also included on the happy hour menu. They had the standard and most popular light beers, Mexican beers, and a few IPAs. I went with a few on-tap beers, and my wife chose the "Perfect Margarita." The Perfect Margarita has Grand Mariner, it is was in fact perfect. We sat at the bar, and the staff was excellent. This is mainly for their service because our server Lupita was the sweetest most attentive server I've had at any restaurant and I'm surprised I would find her at an Applebee's. Real quick about the food, we all know the quality of the food at an Applebee's so I'll keep this short. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and the bourbon chicken and shrimp. My crispy chicken sandwich was pretty bad because it was over fried and the batter all fell off. The chicken tasted really chewy like it was fake chicken. I would not recommend. The service made up for this meal so I didn't even complain but rather just quickly ate my meal and moved on. The bourbon chicken and shrimp looked way better and I'd probably order that next time. It was sizzling and tender and the potatoes were a good addition. My friends got this as a part of their 2 for $27 deal. Okay back to our server. Lupita was really kind and attentive and was so fast to refill all of our drinks and she knew the menu well to quickly rant off and suggest options to accommodate my friend's dietary restrictions. She gives off this motherly feel and makes you feel at home like you're eating at a home dinner rather than a public restaurant. You'll see what I mean if you ever have her as your server. My purse even fell off the booth at one point and she quickly dragged a chair over just to place my purse on it! I really hope management treats her well because she's literally gonna be the only reason I come back here. So we want to support our local establishments as things open up. We decided on Applebees. I think they need to close, teach the people how to cook, and then open back up again. The food all the way around was just awful and, in some cases, inedible. The Honey BBQ boneless wings were as hard as a dog biscuit! Everyone! For $12, these few pieces should be perfect. They were 100% inedible. I thought I bit into a VERY hard nut. It appears as if these were frozen, burned, and cooked or had been sitting around for a long time as this does not happen to fresh food. The 8 oz sirloin we both ordered was just tasteless and not cooked as we wanted. Med was well done, and rare was a heavy medium. Again, why no seasoning or taste? We lost our appetite, left, and went to In n Out. Honestly, this is one of the worst experiences I have had with the quality of food. It is like everyone went to sleep for a year, forgot how to cook, and returned uninspired to prepare fresh food that everyone has been craving to get out and enjoy. This is my usual to go spot to grab a decent bite and great customer service but today that was far from it and it has me reconsidering my get away spot. As usual the greeters do there job but after that it took a turn. Our water Ethan seemed to be distracted by the gossip that other waiters were sharing he forgot to take our order and when he did so he forgot the little details asked of him. I enjoy making a waiters day when they are on point with there job, I am aware that gratuity is helpful to these waiters work week and enjoy making there day. Sorry for Ethan who forgot not only the small details asked of him but forgot to take me and my families order. I seen Ethan just relaxing talking to his co workers I know he seen me too looking his way. As a waiter you shouldn't wait to be bugged by me to simply take my order or remind you of what you forgot, sucks for you Ethan I could've made your night a lot better.
