Please please clean your menus. Every menu I touched was sticky and dirty. I came in to relax, have a few cocktails, and a nice meal before heading home. Unfortunately that didn't happen because the server was getting off her shift and bothered me every 5 minutes so I could settle out. Please next time just transfer the ticket over. That is why I sit in the bar area so I don't have to be rushed. On a positive note the food and drinks came quick and were good. Tonight my family and I went into Applebees was greeted very nicely by a young lady and seated immediately. Our server was great very kind and sweet. Now my family and I don't complain often and try to look at it as if they have something going on in their life. But tonight my mom order and medium sirloin which medium is pink and a little bit red the steak came out purple and red in the middle, asked for the waitress if they could cook it some more so they cook a new steak still comes out rare so we ask the waitress if they can cook it just a little more. After all that the manger proceed to come and return the steak to my mother and stats in a very rude hateful full manner that next time she should order well done which is bullshit you don't tell someone how to order there food medium well is not pink at all. Took about 20 mins after we all ate to get our ticket I guess cause the manger was upset after she completely handle the situation wrongly Just blew my mind how the manger dealt with it. She disrespected us and proceeds to stare us down until we walked out the restaurant. Leaving a review because I see there hasn't been one in a while and I had a pretty good experience. Went to dinner with my mom there, food was fantastic, and the service was great. My only complaint was that they still allow smoking in there, so it was a bit smoky when we walked in, but they sat us at a table away from it, and it didn't bother us at all while we ate. Our family went for supper. Our server did a great job. The food was pretty good. My husband got the nachos and they really didn't have much on them but had a good flavor. But it was ruined because they have three smoking tables, right in the middle of the restaurant. No matter where you sit, you get a big whiff of cigarette smoke! Walked in and people smoking.Asked to be seated somewhere further away and hostess was plumb hateful....even the waitress became snobby. Cleburne has a city wide ban (yes law) and ignore it. New managers are sloppy looking and wait staff look like typical bar trash. I used to go couple times a week but place is too hateful.....food is always excellent....only reason I ever put up with place. Not really a fan, if there is nothing else then it's decent but your looking at run of the mill food that's already prepared and heated up or either they cook off an exact menu so that every single Applebee's tastes the EXACT same. It's a classic chain restaurant and although they have many items on a menu, are child friendly and moderately priced it's still not enough for me to want to eat there. I can cook better food dishes at home, in my opinion. However, the staff is usually very friendly and helpful. It's typically clean, atleast the very few times I ate there it was tidy. read more

Took our grandkids there for dinner, was ok, then went to the bar after and was charged for drinks we pay for at dinner. When we talked to the manager about that he was like, whatever! This place has come a long way from what it used to be. The worst service in town by far now. Twice we've ordered car side to go, don't expect anyone to greet you at your car even though you put in the vehicle description online, find a server that might have a clue only to be told your order still isn't ready. Not impressed at all! I have worked in the customer service industry for the last 17 years and I noticed every detail in this place. When we walked in there was NO Hostess and we seated ourselves. It was very smoky but that was the least of my worries when I was super hungry. It took at least 10 minutes to get a waitress over to our table and once we placed our drink orders in with one waitress, 2 other waitresses came to take our order. Apparently there is no communication in this business or even a manager to be seen. While we were waiting for our food, I noticed flies on the window. I also noticed a family that walked in and waited as well to be seated and finally just seated themselves. At this point we had been waiting for our food and we were just ready to eat. The drinks were okay. The lemons were not fresh. The food was okay but the whole atmosphere was awful. Just piece of advise to the manager, train and motivate your employees better. Give a list of duties to the hostess while she is slow. Like, clean the doors or windows at the front. They are all young and to them this is just another job. Piece of advise to the waitresses, greet with a smile even if you are having a bad day, get to know your customers, recommend drinks on the menu or favorite dishes this helps with better tips. This restaurant is very smokey inside, overpriced, the food is not good and the management sucks. I complained to the assistant manager, Amanda, about the horrible cigarette smoke inside and her response was "it's good for business". Today was the worst experience I've had at a restaurant. There was no host/hostess. We were seated by a waitress who did not provide us with menus. We retrieved menus from another table. The service was generally slow up to this point. When the food arrived There mistakes in 2 of the orders. One was an easy fix as they had asked for an extra side. I had ordered bacon cheeseburger. It came without cheese and bacon. I should have had her take it back and redo it. She offered to bring bacon and I accepted that. She also asked if I needed any condiments and I asked for mustard. I waited to eat for a bit thinking those items might arrive soon. I saw our waitress taking an order at a large table so I figured it would be a while before those items came if they I would get them at all. I was about 2/3s if the way through my burger when someone showed up with mustard. Also, The fries were not warm. As I was finishing the burger the waitress arrived and asked if I had gotten the bacon. I said no. She said there would be no charge and did go get it then. We did get charged. We had to ask them to remove the charge. Drinks were slow to be refilled. When we arrived at 12:30pm on a Saturday and the parking was nearly empty we should have guessed there might be a problem. The food was not good enough to tolerate the bad service. Perhaps I should have asked for a manager but I wonder if one was there. With the small crowd a good manager might have been circulating through the restaurant. And would have hired someone to greet and seat people. read more
