It was my worst experience ever with service!!! We came to eat as a family of 4 with two small kids on Valentine's Day. We arrived around 5pm and we were told to wait for about 15-20min because they are busy which we expected. After about 15min we got the table. We had to wait for at least another 20-25min to finally see our "waitress". First she looked like she was drunk or on some kind of strong medication! We ordered drinks and food at same time. We were very hungry so my husband told her 3x if we can get at least salats first with fresh fries. She was weirdly smiling and said she makes sure we get it asap. Btw she was responsible for another two tables next to us (next to the entry door) and she completely ignored them. After another 20min she finally brought us drinks! And ask if we are ready to order. We said we already ordered the food 20min earlier!!! She looked puzzled and left. After another 30min with empty stomach and no more drinks, my husband decided to just go next door for some food and that's when she finally came with salats and food for kids so I asked her politely (even when I was so upset and angry inside) if we can get those fresh fries too and that's when she snapped ano raised her voice at me "she is doing her best!!!!!" Omg I just nicely asked and she promised she'll bring it asap! I had to ask for refill. Another 20min, finally got our refill (wrong drinks) and she brought the food for me and my husband. Deborah was the best waitress/server we've had in a long time. She even MADE some thousand island dressing herself (and it was excellent) because they didn't have any. She was on point with everything and very attentive to our needs as well as the other customers around us. The restaurant was clean and the food was excellent! The hostess was very pleasant and granted my wish of where I wanted to sit by the window. My Waiter, Mr. Legendary was very helpful in sharing what I wanted to eat and accommodating my wants. He is very professional,caring, not in a hurry. Returned several times to see if my food and accessories were to my liking. Legendary adds flavor to the establishment! I was introduced to the Manager, Ms. Katrina, who greeted me with a smile and invitation to please return. She was very courteous and caring. I will return in the future with friends and especially myself because of the niceness of Legendary. Service was 5 star, food was. The double crunch shrimp wasn't crunchy, several of my fries were raw. The Moz sticks were really good though. The chicken fingers were not like they used to be and were smaller, overcooked. Onion rings were really good though! Won't deter me from Applebee's, but could just be the location. Maybe it was because I hadn't had a good meal in Columbus and was really hungry and had too high of an expectation, or maybe the food here just isn't tasty. NOTHING on the menu appealed to me. It was standard Applebee's fare: salads, chicken, nachos, burgers, ribs, steaks, etc. You know the drill. They do have a nice selection of sports (including my favorites: tennis and golf) on the TVs in the bar area. I finally asked the bartender which steak he recommended and I got it. It was a sirloin in a BBQ sauce. The menu describes it as: " A juicy 7 oz. sirloin & grilled sweet onion is finished with sweet & spicy Hawaiian BBQ sauce and served with steamed garlicky spinach and crispy smashed potatoes." The onion was 'ok,' the steak was cooked 'ok,' and was of 'ok' quality and the spinach was SUPER garlicky, and I like garlic. I subbed broccoli for the potatoes and was surprised they serve it without any butter, or even lemon to squeeze on top of it and the cut ends of the broccoli were **brown** ugh. I didn't eat a bit of broccoli - it was so pitiful, browned on the tips and dry. A good expeditor would have caught that. The wine offered was Barefoot label which is a really low line label, a step up from Boones Farm. The bartender and servers were friendly as was the hostess. It's located in a small outdoor mall. I think the bartender was a little preoccupied because he had a leak in the ceiling right from the air conditioner on this hot day. He and the manager were assessing it. read more

It's Applebee's I haven't found it an enjoyable place to eat since I was twenty sum-thing and thought that it was upscale eating out. Well compared to the Army rations I was used to at that time, it was "upscale". The tables were sticky and the menu's were even sticker. When we went in, around 5pm'ish, they acted as seating a table of 9 would be an issue. They initially wanted to sit us in a round booth, but we declined as we knew that would not be a comfortable fit. Several in our group were soldiers, that were graduating from nearby Fort Benning, and they had on their uniforms, so you would have thought we'd been offered something more accommodating. They blamed it on staffing and stated that only one section was open to receive a group our size. We were then offered several of the high-top tables pushed together. Again, not really interested. We had a few in our table, who didn Those are only nice when you are doing more drinking than eating in my opinion, so finally, they spit our group into two booths and we were served promptly. We received a 10% discount on our meals since we were staying at the nearby Hampton Inn, but the waitress told us that only the persons with actual key cards could receive the discount if we were going to get separate checks. Thankfully we had 3 key cards, so we grouped together that way and used the discount for each set of checks. Service was average, and at the end one groups check had items on it they had order but didn't receive. Those were removed without incident, and we basically went on our way. Nothing special. She went and got her manager and he brung me another salad but then the chicken they brought me was extremely old. So I decided to not eat. As far as this location is concerned, the staff is great! It wasn't a busy time when we arrived so we were sat immediately. Our server recommended some drinks and I took her up on the Perfect Margarita. It was actually perfect. It comes in the shaker so you get several glasses and it was the perfect balance of mixer to tequila ratio (which is harder to find than it should be!) For dinner, I had the Three Cheese Chicken Cavatappi and I can't say I was super impressed. It wasn't bursting with cheesy yumminess like I hoped but it was still good and filling. I will never go here again. We have always been a fan of Applebees until a few weeks ago. We like to sit at the bar because we enjoy drinking a few beers with our meal. The bartender was too busy texting on his cell phone to actually take our drink orders. Once he took our orders he went back to his phone and continued texting before actually pouring the drinks. He acted like it was an inconvenience to take our orders. In a restaurant that makes most of its money on alcohol sales the bartender should actually be bar tending instead of working on his social life. I had this exact same experience at an Applebees in Newnan, GA over the holidays. I don't know if Applebees is doing a poor job by hiring inexperienced management or just sloppy bartenders, but we will not be returning to Applebees any time soon. read more

On July 4th I ordered the 2 for $24 thru Uber Eats and when I received my order~ fries were missing from the riblet platter. This is not the first time items were missing but this time I called Applebee's~of course they stated for me to come get my missing fries~after explaining that not only had I already paid delivery fee that my complete order would be cold by the time my fiance came up there so they cemetery remade my complete order which I commend~however~after my fiance gets home with the 'correct' order~the fries were STILL missing~this had to have been 1~total incompetence or 2~this was done on purpose~as if they were saying F~you for complaining~when you pay over $50(that's including delivery fees and tip)~it's certainly not too much to ask to get the correct order~it's as if when you order through a delivery app~the restaurant doesn't have to be concerned if order is correct because you have to go yourself after all to get corrected order~and by the way~they were NOT too busy to get order right the SECOND TIME AROUND~Even though it was not Uber Eats fault~I still had to go through Uber Eats to get a refund as by this time I had just had enough of the bull and wanted my money back~so all this to say that the service at this location is truly HORRIBLE read more

The second my family walked into the doors we knew it was gonna be bad. The host was rude and told us our table was gonna be 10 minutes. We sat and waited but the host was to scared to tell us to sit outside so she went and got her manager. After we went out side we waited for well over 10 minutes. There was 9 of us and we were gonna be sitting 6 and 4 (due to social distancing). There was plenty of room for our family to sit, but it took well over 10 minutes to sit us. I've been here a few times. I keep ordering a steak, and they just bring me steak. They never ask how I'd like it cooked. They just bring me an extra well-done steak. I've tried to tell them I'd like my steak medium rare, but they still bring me a well-done steak. I ordered a Caesar salad today and what I got was a pizza box fill with romaine lettuce and some Caesar dressing. One time, after I had eaten my dinner and boxed up some food to take home, I had to wait 15 minutes for the bartender to finish a story about his prom night to the only other person sitting at the bar. He gave me my To-Go food then turned around and told an epic tale of forgotten love and heartbreak as I sat there with my credit card in my hand. I tried to be patient and let him finish until he turned around and looked at me, and then continued with his story. After my terrible meal, I was ready to burn the place down. Once he finished his "war and peace" style monologue, he asked if I was ready to pay and it took everything in my power not to come across that bar and throttle him. I can't stand this place. I've avoided Applebee's for quite a while since the quality of food has declined and had quite a few bad customer service experiences. I decided to give it a try for lunch today. Wish I hadn't. Service was good and fast so no issues there. However the food was just terrible. I had the 6 ounce sirloin with the grilled veggies and steamed broccoli. I couldn't eat most of the steak. Mostly I just chewed the flavor out and spit the rest in a napkin. Most of the steak I couldn't even cut because it wasn't meat. Just a large block of fat. It was cooked fine but not edible. The grilled veggies were just a soggy mess with way too much garlic butter on it. The Broccoli was ok but not cut very well. Very disappointed for a $20 meal with tip. I didn't complain because I'm sure they get enough of that without me. I used to love Applebee's, 15 years ago. Sadly I haven't had a good experience there in about that long now. read more
