Okay first off, Carla is sweet as can be. She was the sweetest waitress ever. So thank you Carla! Now, straight to the point. It SUCKED. We were literally the only people in the restaurant at first. One of my coworkers ordered a strawberry margarita (GROSS) and the Blue Iguana drink (which isn't even blue). We asked them if they could remake the drinks and the Manager/Owner Richard came to the table to ask what was wrong with the drinks. We explained why the drinks were not good and he said they were final and that we couldn't get another drink to replace them. THEN when they got our orders wrong, we told Carla and RICHARD never came out to help out or fix anything. Enchiladas: - Had a weird enchilada sauce that literally looked and tasted like McCormicks chili out the can Steak and Shrimp Fajitas: - There was a HAIR on the food "gIaNt" Burrito: - Not at all "giant" - Wasn't even a burrito. Was basically a large enchilada - On the menu it stated that the cheese, tomato, lettuce, and sour cream comes on top of the "burrito". I asked for it to be put inside the burrito but they still put everything on top. Long story short, this isn't authentic Mexican food. I'm from Oakland, CA and I've been to Mexico. Before we even got to the "incident" we were handed a pipin' hot plate, served warm beer and they turned off the music. After being served warm beer one young man asked if any cold ones were available when someone else offered his cold beer several people at the table told him fuck off. For some reason the server thought they were talking to her when the server came back she asked "oh so fuck me?" with a tear in her eye. We visited on a Monday night at 7pm. Only one other table was there. We were seated quickly and the waitress was very nice. I ordered the "poblano peppers" bc I have been searching for authentic Chile rellenos in this town and I was glad to see it in the menu. The food was good. The guacamole salad that came on the side was crisp (good side for my meal). The rice and beans were delicious. I was not disappointed with my meal although it was slightly on the overpriced side. They didn't have two items we specifically came for. Ordered a side of flour tortillas and got corn tortillas instead then when we went to pay and the waitress gave me the tray with receipt and there was a baby cockroach on it. All we got was "So Sorry" not in a concerning way and still got charged 100% on our food as she walked away to help other customers. There was only 3 tables of customers at lunch time also this should have warned me. So grossed out right now! Good luck on those who go. Food was good but not sure if it's bug free. The margarita was heavy on the mix and low on the tequila. Let's discuss the environment for a second. There were 6 customers total and felt patironizing this business in this economy!! The customer services was great but it didn't make for the food preparation. We told that the food was pre rolled and nothing could be added into you burrito. NOT A GOOD SIGN!! Drinks took easily around 20 mins of waiting. They ran out of different things, weren't sure how to make their top shelf margaritas with out missing ingredients. This was definitely one of the better places I've been to for Mexican good in Columbus. It tasted fresh and everything tasted different and not like it had the same sauce as everything in the restaurant. I wanted crunchy tacos - like grandma makes but they only have soft ones so I settled on taquitos. They come as 4, 2 chicken and 2 shredded beef. I loved them! The meat wasn't dried out or anything and the tortilla was perfectly crunchy and not at all soft or soggy. My husband got the cazuela (I think) but it was chicken with chorizo and it was really good. Great beans, decent rice. The salsa leaves a little to be desired but I'm extremely hard to please on that area. Will definitely be back. read more

Not sure how much COVID is affecting the service and food this year. Service was fast but wait staff was all business and not welcoming. Get the sense they were understaffed. Biggest concern is that my server was wearing his mask like a chin strap. Why bother wearing one at all? Extremely concerning since he was talking over my chips and salsa, drink, and food. My favorite Mexican restaurant! The food is great and the staff is usually very friendly and always professional. In fact I like it so much that it made me dislike my previous favorite spot. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because occasionally (maybe twice) they have been inconsistent with what they will actually serve you. I think this place is having an identity crisis. Is it a bar and grill? Is it a mexican restaurant? They give you chips and salsa and their go to drink is the margarita but they also have burgers and steaks and seafood on the menu. I (foolishly) ordered a bacon cheeseburger. There were maybe 3 other people in the restaurant while I was there on a Thursday evening. Also ordered a 22 oz Shock Top which I found out was $6 when the bill came. I felt this was a little pricey given that it looks like its almost a mexican restaurant and you'd expect cheaper bigger beers in that sort of place. Burger came out fairly quickly and was hot. Only problem was that I was informed that they were out of bacon.... for a bacon cheeseburger. Not sure why they didn't tell me before they cooked the sucker because i would have ordered something else. So I ended up with a cheeseburger. Wasn't bad, just not what I wanted. It was obviously a Bubba Burger. Toppings were fresh- lettuce, tomato and red onion. Fries were crispy and hot. Server/bartender was nice. She never checked on me until bringing the bill... which still had a charge for a bacon cheesburger, I had to ask to have it downgraded to a cheesburger. And when I asked she said "Oh you want me to change it?" Hell yes I'm not paying for fictitious bacon! Common sense I would think? Just overall a sad place to eat. We waited forever to be seated, now mind you no one else was waiting and no hostess was there to seat us. They finally bring chips but no drinks. My friend got choked on a chip so I went to the bar, told them my friend was choking and needed some water. Server says, "ok I'll be there in a minute", and continued doing what she was doing. My husband & I were looking for a place for lunch on Veterans Day but every where was packed due to the free meals which they all deserved but we just wanted to eat. So we stopped in & was seated immediately. There was only a handful of customers in the whole restaurant. I love how they have about 4-5 different dips you can choose from to eat with your chips..I believe they were about $3 a piece. I recommend their guacamole. It was absolutely delicious & creamy. The prices ranged from about $6-13 for combo's & are plenty of food! I think this will be my to go spot for Mexican food! read more
