    Blue Mana

Went here for the 1st time at this location on Saturday December 27th 2025 with my parents for a much needed dinner. Applebees is a chain restaurant that serves burgers, salads, some fish, and other items that a chain usually has, like ribs. They can also be known for their drinks as well. Anyways, we walked in, and there was an 30 Minute wait, they said the Kitchen was backed up, okay- so we said no, but spent maybe that same time or less in the car. So we get out of the car and changed our minds and decided to wait. We also went to the bar, and was called when our table was ready. At the bar, we decided on drinks while we waited, and my mom had the tipsy reindeer drink. I had a Blue Mana Drink. Bartender did his job and checked ID. We also ordered nachos, and BBQ boneless wings as an appetizer. Before you know it, our table was ready. Oh, and both in the bar, and in the restaurant, it felt a little chilly. anyways, so we moved to the table in the restaurant and was somewhat seated near the door. Not sure if it helped the cold situation. Anyways, our server was very pleasant and had lots of southern hospitality. Although it took her longish to greet us- but can understand because when it's busy, it can be a rush to get there. With the server we ordered 3 waters, and my dad ordered another drink, and the waitress recommended the sleigh all day margarita. Also because our waitress took a little long to greet us-- it did give us time to look over the menu and decide what we wanted to order. After finally getting our waters and my dad's drink. For entrees My mom and I did the 2 for $25 deal which was on the back of the menu, one can get 2 entrees and an appetizer- I got the Oriental Chicken Salad, and my mom got the same thing, and we got the Fried Mosseralla Appetizer. My dad ordered a Whisky Jam Burger, which sounded like Fridays old burger. Finally the appetizers came out- the nachos and boneless wings. The nachos were enjoyable, and came with guacomole on top! (My mom and i liked that, my dad not so much). The wings sauce was good, but it tasted like it spent too much time under a hot lamp and was dried out. Fried Mossarella was good too! Finally the entrees came out, and i enjoyed my salad, as did my mom. My dad also enjoyed his burger. As it got less busy, our waitress checked on us more often. Oh, although we ran into an issue that the ketchup was empty at our table, and my dad was searching the restaurant for a ketchup, and unfortunately they only had ketchup packets, in which the bartender apologized for- but the waitress seemed rude about it. she said to my dad "excuse me?" Now he used the packets, but no need to be rude about it. Anyways, I enjoyed my salad, as well as my mom. We also asked for boxes as we didn't finish all of our salad. We paid the check via a gift card and left a cash tip. We enjoyed our food, and would probably be back! Although a little bit of slow service for some reason, but maybe next time there will be better service!

I don't generally give feedback but this was pretty poor to say the least. I ordered a tomato soup and barely got any soup and didn't even have the croutons. How does this happen? Please do a quick quality check before sending out your food. Last time my wife ordered a soup it was almost cold. Please receive this as constructive criticism. Got to do better. I actually always loved the place but seems like poor performance every time I order something. Thanks

We just visited for the 2nd time and realized I never posted a review from our first visit…read more 1st visit we sat at one of the pub top tables by the bar with all the TVs over it. Our wait staff was Makenzie and she was great! We had fried pickles as an appetizer. Came out quick and breaded just right. I had the Cheeseburger Sliders Basket - 3 mini burgers topped with American cheese, mustard, ketchup and pickles. Served with a French fries and coleslaw. My daughter had the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Sub - grilled chicken breast cubed and sautéed with onions, banana peppers, jerk seasonings and melted Provolone cheese. Served on a sub roll with lettuce and homemade pineapple cilantro salsa with pub chips. 2nd visit- It has been about 2 months from our first visit. We were at a booth this time. We had a tv designated just for our booth. The TVs are number and you can have them change the channel for your table. Our one of the large TVs if you don't have your own tv. I had the Gamecock - grilled chicken sandwich topped with bacon, melted Provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and ranch dressing on a brioche bun. Very good sandwich. My husband had the French Dip - roast beef and Provolone cheese baked on a sub roll with caramelized onions and served with au jus. Bobby was our server. He was attentive and nice. Good food in a clean sports bar.

This was my first visit to Dagwood's in North Myrtle Beach. I stopped in after 8 p.m. on a Monday,…read moreso I realize late evenings on a weeknight can feel a little different from peak hours. I was greeted quickly and directed to a seat at the bar. The same staff member soon brought me water and poured a 10-ounce Dirty Myrtle IPA, a local double IPA on tap. She made sure I knew it was a smaller pour, which I appreciated. The beer itself was very good. After getting a menu, I ordered the fish and chips, which is usually my go-to when trying a pub for the first time. The plate looked great when it arrived: four large pieces of fried cod (enough for two people, really), fries, a big pickle spear, two cups of tartar sauce, and coleslaw. The coleslaw deserves special mention. It was excellent--honestly one of the best I've had anywhere. Fresh, balanced, and really flavorful. The fish arrived hot and the first bite was very good: flaky cod with a crisp exterior. As I worked further into it, though, I realized the batter was thicker than I personally prefer. Instead of a light, crispy coating, it was heavier and softer underneath the crust, and as the fish cooled that became more noticeable. The fries were decent but seemed like they had been sitting under heat for a bit. Not bad, just not as hot and crisp as they could have been. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and it seems like a good place to meet friends or catch a game. Service at the bar was polite but fairly minimal, and my total was just over $27 for the beer and fish and chips, which felt a little high for the overall depth of the meal. Overall, it was a mixed experience: good vibe, great coleslaw, decent fish, but not quite a standout meal for me. I'll likely give Dagwood's another try and explore other items on the menu. And when I do, I'll definitely order that coleslaw again.
