Never coming back to this place. Came with 15 military friends, sat down and the server never wanted to serve us. After 30 min, we asked one of the server but he said he was not able to serve us because he was understaffed. Told us to wait 40 minutes. We asked the bartender if she can serve us, she said no because she was new. The place was pretty empty on a Sunday night. They need to hire more people. read more

Got seated right away on a weekday dinner for 4. Came here after a long hike, so we were starving and thirsty. Our server was very polite and prompt. I ordered something like a shark bowl, which was a cocktail with a shark gummy in it. It was good! I also ordered a shrimp rice bowl. I wanted to eat something healthy with some healthy carbs after a workout. It was actually quite tasty. With lime, grilled shrimps, pico de gallo, guac, rice, tortilla strips, it was a quite solid meal. I don't mind coming back here. They gave 10% military discount too. read more

Must be extremely poor management for all balls to be dropped with such precision of incompetence. Arrived today with a party of four, stood ignored at the hostess station for at least 5 minutes. The server didn't take a drink order for at least 15 minutes, 45 minutes later the food we ordered still hadn't come out. The manager came over and said she would check on our order, she came back 10 minutes later with 4 cold meals, and one of the chicken salads didn't have any chicken. Hostess advised they were short staffed and would be a 10-15 min wait to be seated. 15 min later one large group left, 10 min later their table was still not cleared. Hostess repeated they were short staffed and she didn't want to get us seated and give us poor service. 10 min after that we gave up and walked over to the Taco Bell next door. Suppose to be medium well it came out burnt, well done no flavor with BBQ sauce. Not quite what I think when I see bourn street steak. Others in party very dissatisfied with service and found. This is a favorite stop of ours on trips up I65 to Indy and environs. My husband loves their chicken strips and I am a huge fan of their cedar grilled lemon chicken. Very rude manager, I'm a regular I work not too far so my usual lunch is at applebees. This certain weekend I was a guest at the Hilton garden and the usual discount is 10% off when staying there. I was denied my 10% with no valid reason even with key card. I think the manager was in a bad mood and took it out on me. So the second time I tried to forget my rude last experience when I went I ordered multiple extra sauces and did not receive any as did my friend. And my chicken was completely burnt, Black pieces in my platter. I'm not sure if they recognized me and decided to be spiteful on purpose but I'm not coming in again and they have lost my business. read more

So disappointed in this Applebee's. And we love Applebee's. Service was decent. We wanted to try The Butchers Meat and Potatoes. Never asked us how we wanted it cooked. Came out overdone. Everything was overdone on this plate, but the potatoes. Hardly any gravy on the plate. We got 2 slices of mushrooms and that was it. Over all was just disappointing. This has to be one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. When seated the waitress acted fast and got all three at the table waters. We didn't see her again for another 15 minutes. We then ordered our appetizers and salads. Salad came out with brown and wilted lettuce and they messed up our appetizer order. After waiting another 45 minutes for our entrees the burgers were dry and cold so we sent them back. I had to go out of my way to bring the manager to our table. (This is where it gets good) The manager was very nice and gave us the meal for free. The burgers came out again and mine was fine but they brought my mom a completely different burger than originally ordered. When we complained to our waitress she told " the meal is for free so calm down and give me a second". Which is the most unprofessional thing I've ever heard a waitress say. Not sure why they made this one so big.... it's Never busy. Lots of tvs. Service is decent, food is good. I called and spoke to the GM Ryan about a party of 10 at lunch and let him know we were coming on our lunch hour and needed quick service. He assured me he would provide the best service. When we arrived the table was not ready, even though there was less than 20 people eating and a fully staffed server team. Getting drinks and taking order took over 15-20 minutes, food took about 20-25 mins, then after we finished eating 20-25 minutes later it still took 15 more minutes to get our check. In all it was too slow and we won't be going back for our lunch celebrations. On a positive note the food was good. read more

We typically go to the Applebee's in Columbus but, in an effort to shake things up, we decided to try the new(er) one in Edinburgh. Upon first walking in I thought it was adorable! It's definitely a newer look than the Cbus location (which was expected, it IS newer) so that was a pleasant first impression. It was also an extremely slow night so I really got to see whether the servers were here to work or talk in the back. So first off: The hostess was super rude and looked like she'd rather eat her own arms than seat anyone, we felt very uncomfortable with that whole process. She acted that way for every customer she seated after us as well, so that was disheartening. Our waiter, Jacob, however was great! He was very friendly and attentive, so I don't have any complaints there. Our food came out in a timely manner and was delicious, and we got dessert which was also yummy. Overall, not a bad experience. I hope the hostess deals with whatever issue she had going on and I'm glad our time with her was very brief. I would definitely come again, even though it's a little bit of a drive, a change of scenery is always a plus in this small town! read more

I normally wouldn't post about a cookie-cutter "neighborhood" restaurant like an Applebee's, but I felt compelled to point out this one as I passed through for a weekend work trip. This franchise, less than a year old, is conveniently accessible from the interstate and a stone's throw from an outlet mall, was sadly lacking in customers as my friends and I settled in for Sunday afternoon football. You would think with 14 TVs proudly positioned around the open-space bar, you would get to see every NFL game possible, but they didn't bother to order the NFL Sunday Ticket. (The NFL Red Zone channel saved the experience, but you don't need 14 TVs for that.) Each experience is different, mostly because of the boss. Thursday night, the NFL game was piped through the audio. Sunday afternoon, the boss insisted on soft rock during the NFL games. I generally avoid these places, but I had no choice since it was the only establishment staggering distance from the hotel, and I was vastly disappointed by this one, even using Applebee's standards. Food was no different from any other Applebee's, service ranged from excellent to poor. This was a swing and a miss for Applebees. read more
