Seemed to be a relatively slow night. Arrived at 745 pm on a Tuesday. Was seated right away. Hostess went overboard explaining specials and menu. We saw several servers helping other tables. One walked past is several times. I witnessed what looked like the manager on duty receiving a shoulder massage from an employee in the corner where the to go orders are. ​Just after 8 no server had approached, acknowledged, offered to take out order, or get us anything to drink. Just had the worst service at this location. Our server seemed to be on drugs or something. She was tweaking out a little bit and took forever to take both our drink orders and food orders. Her head was bobbing and couldn't speak clearly and even accidentally threw a drink menu at me. My ceasar salad had strawberry vinaigrette in it as well which made me gag. read more

Got seated with menus right away. Server took our orders which included a steak well done and side salads. We had to ask for forks when our salads arrived. The server then got forks for every table in her area (without food on already their table) while we waited. We finally got our forks and regretted it immediately when picking at the tasteless salads. Our meals arrived and no knife was included to eat the steak. The steak was rare inside with blood running all over the plate, not how it was ordered . The meal was returned without taking a replacement. Applebee's is a place that if you want a fair meal & drinks, not a bad choice. The food is not of course fine dinning but there is a fair amount of choices to choose from that will satisfy most everyone & the kids. I will say it's food is consistent at every Applebee's you go to. I say a safe bet on a quick meal. read more

Ordered takeout after a long day and it was near our hotel. I'm not sure how the kitchen is preparing food, but it was horrible. Was told the order would be ready in 30 min and it was, give or take. I was ushered to the back to stand around with others waiting on their food. That was the best part of the whole experience. The steak had to have been cooked in a microwave. No way it touched a grill. It was rubbery and gray. The appetizer was fried and crumbled mess. The mashed potatoes were like soup. A Pop Tart from the snack section of the hotel would have been better for dinner. Total waste. Plenty of other places around. They clearly had annoyed a delivery driver waiting for meals for a couple orders. Pass on this place. read more

Our server was attentive for the most part. But there was more than one server who brought some of the food and drinks to our table. And they, unsurprisingly, missed the soup that we had ordered. I've been here multiple multiple times and have had no problem. Came tonight and 3of 4 meals were cold. Replaced the meals and 1 of the 3 were still cold. The manager even said he specifically cooked these but we doubted. But not only serving the food cold for a second time it's ridiculous. read more

Husband and I decided to use up some of the gift cards we had so we come here for some later night half priced appetizers. The food was really good and our waitress was helpful and attentive. Well, that was up until we paid our bill. We had 3 gift cards, one with a bit over $4, another with a bit over $11 and then one with $25. After using the ones with low amounts on them she used the $25 gift card to pay the remaining balance which left $12.90 on the gift card. She brought us a receipt showing what was deducted and what was remaining on that gift card. We gave her a 20% tip which would have been about $5.45 but I decided to round it up to $6. I wrote six $6 down in the tip line signed it and handed the receipt and gift card back to her. We watched her walk into the kitchen set it down and walk right back out. We waited and waited and waited and we never received the gift card back with the remaining balance of $6.90 on it. Finally flagged down another waitress to ask her to get our waitress. During this time the manager came by and could see that I wasn't happy and when I explained that we wanted to leave but our waitress have not yet returned our gift card he went and found her and brought our waitress over to us. When we told her we wanted to leave and was waiting for her to return our gift cert with the remaining balance on it after she took her tip off she stated she had given us our card back and I said no you did not otherwise we wouldn't be standing here waiting to get it back. She starts looking in her black revise book and saying she did gave it back to us and we are saying, no you did not. She went off to look for it and at this point I realized I needed to remove myself from the situation because I was not having any of this Bologna she was trying to feed us. Ultimately they could not find the gift card which had $12.90 on it so in turn they gave us a $10 gift card to make up for it. What really upsets me is that she knows she did not give me back that card and she walked away with a 40% plus tip. I have absolutely no problem tipping and tipping well but when somebody pull something like this it does not make me happy. So my advice if you're going to go to this restaurant or any restaurant, keep a close eye on your gift card/s. read more

I used to like the southwest quesidilla burger at Applebees, but even that has lost its luster. Applebees has some great Happy Hour specials, and the South facing patio is a favorite of ours during summer days. However, their kitchen is really behind the rest of the pack (Green Mill, Ground Round, Chile's, etc...). You never are really satisfied after you leave. Ordered Togo food at the bar. The food was fine. But I had noticed the bartender had something in his cheek, which looked like chewing tobacco. Since I couldn't tell what it was, I let it go. But then I saw him walk back towards the blender and coffee pot and saw him pick up a white cup and spit into it... and not wash his hands. Forget about washing his hands, chewing tobacco while serving drinks and doing whatever else he does is totally against all of the sanitation rules. Managers there think nothing of it?! My first time at this Applebees was last night. Great service from the time we entered till we left. The chicken wonton tacos are very tasty. I had the club sandwich which wasnt the normal club but tasted great. My wife had the bourbon steak and it was cooked just right. I also had some french onion soup which was very good. Absolutely ridiculous service. Ordered at 8:55 and was denied half price apps past nine even though I paid around 9:30 and this has never been a problem before. I confronted both the waitress and the manager and were both very unapologetic about the situation with smug grins on their faces. They said nope you ordered at 8:55. Needless to say, if you got to Applebee's before nine for half priced apps, and you show up a few minutes early, tell them nope I'm waiting till 9 to order. Honestly I don't recommend going to this restaurant at all, food is mediocre at best and will give you the uncontrollable shits every time. I have eaten at two different Applebees in the past three weeks! I am celiac & I ordered both times off the gluten free menu! First time the bourbon shrimp & chicken was great & no gluten problems! Last night at this restaurant I ordered the same & today am suffering from gluten contamination! I know they don't guarantee gluten free 100%, but if you offer the option, PLEASE have your cooks take a few extra minutes to help gluten free people enjoy the experience of eating out! I would even pay extra just to have the reassurance! Now I will suffer 4 days of flu like symptoms, because someone was not careful with my gluten free option! My husband, sister, and I went to lunch here. We waited a long time for our food (two burgers, wings, and two side salads). While we were waiting the waitress did not come back to check on us, give us an update on wait time, or refill our drinks which were empty. The food was mediocre. Nothing special. I don't think the price was worth the wait or the taste-- $50 for just three people. We won't be back. First time at the Applebee's in Fargo. Went with my husband,son & daughter. Pros: *no waiting seated right away(but it had just opened) *service was fast and friendly *their portions were good sized. And the kids meal portions were pretty big *fast with check *server was attentive even after it started getting busy Cons: *our artichoke & spinach dip came out looking like it had been burned and scrapped off. I wasn't sure how I would complain about it without the word "Ew" in it. *they never refilled my hot tea but they did refill every one else's drink(so a pro & a con I guess) All in all it was not that bad. Bad service. We wanted a booth. We were shown to a slide through booth in the bar. When we asked for a different one away from the door, we were very slowly shown back to the door and the hostess slowly with attitude found another booth. Other people were waiting to be seated as well. The appetizer came after the entrees. The boneless wings were cold. The celery sticks were frozen. The fries were cold. The beer was the wrong size and was warm. The manager reduced the price of the beer to the size ordered and said he would comp us for the appetizer. He took $5 off. It was not enough. So really. I want to like this one however the Bar staff tonight really needs training. Sneezing and not washing your hands then touching all the clean glasses and everything after that. Wiping the bar clean? Really they must do it that way at home. I'm not usually picky but if you wipe you kitchen table at home do you really leave it wet and w/crumbs? So much more to say but I don't want to beat anyone down except the manager and trainers. On a good note all the staff have the best attitudes I've ever encountered! Went in to grab food to go. The wait was long but service was good. I got the nachos verde. First is seems like they used stale chips, limited cheese on bottom and then more stale chips with lettuce on top. Very different type of nachos, the type without cheese or cheese at the bottom. traveling across country happened to stop at hotel across the street, hungry and the website stated they were open til 12 am. we walked in at 1130 pm. manager was nice. waitress seemed irritated that we were there to eat. ordered our meals, my steak came out cold, broccoli was suppose to be lightly steamed came out cold and soggy. knowing they were closing, instead of asking for them to cook all new food, requested they warm up the broccoli and steak in microwave for 30 seconds, but came out over cooked. mom's sampler was half cold and half warm. very disappointing meal. manager has his shirt out of his pants before we even finished our meal and one of the wait staff used the f word feet away from our table. read more
