Tried out this Red Lobster location today and pretty much got what I expected. Lately the restaurants always seem really empty, which gives the place a bit of an eerie vibe, but our hostess was kind and our waiter was really nice. I ordered the Tuesday special with a lobster tail, shrimp scampi, and mashed potatoes, and it was a decent deal for what you get. The food tasted about how I expected, though the shrimp scampi was a little salty. I usually love ending the meal with the chocolate wave cake, but this time it did not taste as good as it has in the past, which makes me wonder if it was an older slice or if the recipe changed a bit. I did not enjoy it much this visit. I would still say this is a fine place to go if you already like Red Lobster, since the experience was pretty standard. read more

The ambiance was nice, our server was excellent and the food was delicious. However, the one BIG negative was that the food dishes that had whole medium to large sized shrimp in them still had the "tails" on the shrimp!! You read that correctly. The shrimp dishes we received were served with the shrimp tails still on them. When my husband started eating his shrimp dish and he bit into one of the shrimp he quickly realized that there was a crunchy texture to it, one that there shouldn't have been considering the type of dish he was eating. When he spit out the piece of shrimp, he found that the tail on the shrimp had NOT been removed prior to adding it to the dish. This led me to check out the shrimp in my shrimp fettuccine Alfredo dish. Of course, that required me digging the shrimp out from under the pasta and fettuccine Alfredo sauce. Sure enough, all the shrimp still had their tales on them. Who makes a shrimp dish and leaves the tails on?? The Red Lobster in Fargo, ND. The shrimp tails are NOT meant to be eaten let alone cooked into a dish and then served to customers who are then required to dig around in their food to remove, said shrimp and then take off the tails before adding the shrimp back into their food before eating it. When I brought this up to the waitress, she asked the manager and the manager had the nerve to say that all of the Red Lobsters have been serving their shrimp in this manner for a year now. That is BS because I've eaten at several other Red Lobsters across the country and several other seafood restaurants, and they do not serve any type of shrimp dish with the shrimp tails still on them. So FYI to anyone who is planning to go eat at the Red Lobster in Fargo, North Dakota and might be considering ordering a shrimp dish. It would seem that whoever is running this restaurant and or the kitchen seem to feel it's perfectly fine to serve shrimp dishes/meals with the shrimp tails still on them. In the pictures below, you will see that it looks like in their table advertisement card that this shrimp dish looks like it still has the shrimp tails on them however, this dish appears to be that of a shrimp salad and not one that is covered in pasta and or a sauce, so you will not be caught completely unaware that when you bite into your shrimp you are likely to be biting into a shrimp tail too. read more

Food was good, service was prompt and friendly and wait time was short, I was terribly disappointed that Red Lobster has discontinued their Lobster Bisque soup? It was always a favorite of mine. I had the Lobster and Lobster & Shrimp Tacos . I thought when I had them in the past, they weren't breaded lobster and shrimp. I'm not a big fan of breading. However, they weren't bad. I just prefer the old version (lobster tacos, ) with food costs going up I'm imagining they change the recipe to keep the price in a similar range. Emily was an amazing waitress. Great personality and never an empty glass on the table. The restaurant was accommodating to my annoying seating requirements of not being able to sit in the middle of a room. Our party of 5 unknowingly stayed 15 minutes after close and they didn't rush us out the door. Oh and yes the food was top notch! read more

Stopped in waited 15 minutes in bar never got waited on! Went to Olive Garden was greeted waited on and had drinks in 4 minutes!

I ordered and was suppose to get 1pound of crab legs! The proportion was unbelievably scant. Four legs on one claw and 3 on other one. In the last 9 months I have eaten crab legs in Alaska and Florida and this was in no way close to a pound of crab legs and I was charged $34.00 and i will never eat there again. In town for our sons hockey tournament and decided to head to Red Lobster for the biscuits. The food was great but our service was even better! We were fortunate to have Solomon as a server! Red lobster used to be a good place. I don't feel that way anymore. The service was slow and the food came out way over done on almost every plate. The snow crab legs were boiled to the point there was no meat left inside most of them. We ordered cocktails and we got and ate the apps before the drinks arrived. They filled up our water twice before we got our drinks. Overall wouldn't go here again. This is the 4th time I've been to a red lobster and it's been decent but his is by far the worst I've been to. read more

First of all our service was excellent! Too bad that food didn't match the service. We were there on a Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm. Salads and biscuits were ok for a party of 4, I find it strange that everyone that ordered lobster dishes for lobster fest had horrible tasting, over cooked, and in one dish, non-edible lobster fest dishes. Plenty of food with good portion sizes. Friendly customer service. Great waitress who was friendly and came by only when needed (I.e. after my friend and I ate our meals). Atmosphere is always lovely. Only downside is it can be a bit pricey, of course. (We went for supper, but I know the lunch specials would be cheaper.) 17 years and Red Lobster is still my favorite chain restaurant! I order the Rock Lobster Tail almost every time and I never get sick of it. I never eaten in Red Lobster before, so one day out of nowhere my curiosity gets the better of me and I went in for dinner. Guess what?? Its not that bad, I mean I came from a seafood country so the seafood is not quite up to par, but its not bad at all. They currently have a $6.99 lunch sale right now so make sure you check out their lunch. All the meals comes with nice salad and very warm bread. This place was pretty good. I mean I ordered crab legs and the waitress was the nicest most attentive waitress I have ever had. Crab legs were delicious. The sides... I dont even remember the sides. The salad was kind of blah though and they have discontinued my favorite dressing, the balsamic vinaigrette. Now they have some raspberry nasty tutti fruitty stuff to replace it with - not as good. But anyways the crab legs were as good as I am used to. I guess I haven't been up to main for crab and lobster yet though so maybe I am just happy with craptastic food. read more

Waiter greeted my wife at our table with something of a lecherous gaze, fixated on her cleavage, and didn't make eye contact with me for some time. From the time we entered the restaurant until we got our food was an hour and ten minutes. Waaaayyyy too long for a meal that cost $85. My Lobster mashed potato side, which I paid extra for, was room temperature and had only about five bits of lobster on it. Several of my wife's mussels were empty shells, and the mussels were nowhere to be found in her bowl. Wanted to pay with a Visa gift card, but Red Lobster only accepts Red Lobster brand gift cards now. All around TERRIBLE experience. Won't be returning any time soon. read more
