We love Applebees. Gresham Applebees is no exception. Here is the deal expect a chain -- that is what it is people! At this location I find that the staff almost always open the door to help my parents in, they welcome guests immediately and the lobby is kept clean. The dining room is also clean and well maintained. I also find the restroom always clean here. The menus are always in good condition. The locations is often busy. We have sat in the bar and in the dining room -- both are great. I prefer booths. The service staff here has always been EXCELLENT like TRULY. They are attentive, work with us when there is a special or a coupon, always willing and trying to please. Drinks are kept full etc. Try the wonton chicken Tacos if you like a BIT of a bite. They are basically mini tacos in a crisp wonton shell and they are amazing. I am also loving the chicken and sausage fettucini. Side salads are always fresh here and the dressings are good. The honey mustard in particular is delicious here. Go here if you want some good reliable food. read more

okay let's be for real, it's Applebees. This is not some fancy trending spot. However it's great for the price, my burger was cooked perfectly, the chicken was great! Stopped in today for my favorite oriental crispy chicken salad! They are so tasty and I get them often. My server today was questionable. I only got one refill request for my ice water as I was being handed my check. I could've used some water sooner, but the server never came back. One thing that I was super impressed with is the manager was bringing food from the kitchen and serving his guests. He was asking others how their meal was and how he was ready to get them anything they needed. I really appreciated his work ethic. read more

My fiancé and I were craving chicken parm after discovering that our favorite Italian restaurant in Gresham has closed. So, we thought Applebees' new version of it would hit the spot. It did not. The chicken was cooked correctly but there was a noticeable lack of marinara sauce, small portion, very little cheese on top. The cream sauce on the noodles tasted very processed, and tasted like a cheap canned sauce. It was food but it made us want to retire Applebees as a favorite restaurant of ours. read more

We had Applebees cater a large business event. The whole process was fantastic! Online ordering was easy. They had the food ready on time, they provided plates, silverware and serving utensils. I do not think i have been in this place in over a decade, but ya know what got me... don't laugh... 25 cent boneless buffalo wings... or basically chicken breast nuggets, from a frozen bag (I assume) and generic buffalo sauce. So why a 3 star review.. I saw the food, I saw the prices... and unless you can go in and get 60 wings for 15 bucks, id skip the place... The staff, so nice, service, super solid, and you see managers being food out and talking with guests.. the location, building, staff, bathrooms... all great.. but the food, well, it is what it is!! I wish I could give a better review. I love Applebees. I ordered the 2 for $25 combo, which for some reason was $30. I ordered the tequila lime chicken and the 6 ounce steak. Sides were Garlic Mashed potatoes and buffalo chicken wings. The chicken was super tough. Barely able to cut it. Rice and tortilla strips were yummy. Steak was sooooo burnt! I ordered it medium well, not burnt to a crisp. NO garlic mashed potatoes! That's a sin, they are my favorite. I got cole slaw and I don't like it. No utensils, no napkins. Nothing! If they carry it I would like A-1 for the steak, if they have if I ever order a baked potato. My experience here was horrible when we were greater there was a girl very stressed and hurrying us up. We waited 15 minutes for to get seated for table of 3. When we did get seated this lady that look so unprofessional messy bun hair all over the place clothes clearly not good you could see her stomach. Super uncomfortable every waiter was talking about their business out loud no one wants to hear that just trying to eat here. Had dinner the night of Saturday, December 14. Had a person with us who was a picky eater, and didn't want anything fancy. Our expectations were not high for whatever we ordered. However the chips that came with the spinach artichoke dip and the fries that came with hamburgers were some of the worst we've ever tasted at any restaurant establishments, tasted of old oil. This restaurant was a delightful surprise. It was a full parking lot at 5 pm. I had some trepidation about being crowded into a room, but it was comfortably spacious. Our server was Marcus, who was personable and attentive, totally making the experience. It was the first foray into dining out since the start of Covid, in 2020! It was my birthday and I brought my cousin and my 99 year old Mother. We chose a diverse selection of dinners, from steak, shrimp to crunchy chicken salad and it was all delish. I ordered a meal via Door Dash. When the Driver picked up the order at Applebee's he told them based on the receipt it was not complete. They said it was so he drove to our home. Upon his arrival we found that 5 items out of 6 were missing. I called Applebee's and spoke to Tony. Tony apologized and said they would redo the order. Tony said we should have the food in half an hour. An hour later I called Tony and asked him where the food is. He said that a driver never came to pick up the food. I told him it was on him to arrange delivery since Applebee's goofed up the order to begin with, plus Tony had my phone number and could of at least called me. He told me they don't do deliveries. I asked why he didn't tell me this in the first place. Very poor customer service from manager Tony. You are taking your chances if you order delivered food from the Gresham Applebee's. We ate here for lunch while on our way to Bend, Oregon. Our waitress was pretty nice. She did kinda mess up my Brother's drink, but fixed it right away. I got an iced tea to drink. They don't have Coke here, only Pepsi. I ordered the grilled shrimp and chicken with fries and broccoli. Everyone got their food before me. They all had soup, salad or an appetizer. I was the only one who ordered an actual entree. I tried my Brother's spinach artichoke dip. It was on the salty side. My Mom's French onion soup was good. Not too salty or sweet, just right. My entree came a little bit later. It came out with mashed potatoes instead of fries. I let my waitress know and she corrected it fairly quickly. She just got me an extra side of fries on the house. We also got some ranch for our fries that turned out a little too thick and flavorless. The fries were good though. I really liked my garlicy and buttery skewered and grilled shrimp. The chicken was alright, the spicy pico de gallo made it better. The broccoli was good too. My meal turned out a lot better than I expected. read more

I decided to stop by the closet Applebee's because it was getting late and I had eaten very little. Having looked up the hours on both Google and Yelp I was under the impression that since it was about 10:30pm it would not be an issue since they close at 12 midnight. Wow, was that information ever wrong! Upon entering I was informed that they stop serving dine in eating at 11:00pm. I thought well since it was before 11pm that I would be seated. Apparently even though they say that they stop serving dine in eating there at 11pm their actual closing time is 10:30pm. There were still plenty of people seated at tables and the parking lot was about half full. I would like to believe that since business has been hurt so much by the pandemic that Applebee's would be searching for every dollar that could be made at this point now that everything is reopening. It's not the case. I was asked if I would like to order takeout and simply said no and walked out but not before letting the host know that I had checked both Yelp and Google for operating hours and both stated that this particular Applebee's is open until midnight with nothing listed about closing to dine in at 11pm with only takeout available for the last hour of operations. Because of this experience I am thinking that I will not return simply because Applebee's does not want my business. read more
