Blinds the waitress closed for us also beautiful look.

This place was absolutely a joy to eat at. The food was amazing and everyone enjoyed it! Usually fries are bland at places, at least in my experiences but those fries were so so good, they were seasoned just right. Oh and the service was the best thing about it, our waitress was so so amazing and so caring for the kids. There was light in my tables eyes and we asked if she would shut the blinds she straight away did it and even asked if we wanted it turned the other way. The looks of the place were not all that bad either. The tables were nicely set and when you sit down they give you napkins that have a cute saying on it. Also no bugs or rodents seen (I know that's a lot of things people are scared of seeing) also I absolutely LOVED their cinnamon roll bites. I was too full from my food to finish them so I took them home in a to-go box. Love this place! Only problem is the to-go boxes are kinda difficult sometimes. Definitely recommend.

Came to Applebee's for the first time in years to try the spooky drinks! Sat at the bar and Jarred was our server. He was very attentive, super fast, and knowledgeable of the menu! The food was also very good. Applebee's is making a comeback in my book.

Bourbon street chicken and shrimp was delicious

The surprise win was the fried shrimp were actually really good just too salty. And this is coming from a Cajun. But good job I'd actually rate it pretty close to flavor we get back home! Allie greeted me almost immediately and got me seated and set up with a sweet tea and a menu. She returned just a few minutes later and answered all the questions that I had about the menu - which were many - because there's quite a selection to be had here. I finally settled on the Gouda burger with crispy bacon on a lightly toasted, brioche bun and all the fixings. I upgraded my Fries to beer batter onion rings, and boy was that NOT a mistake. Onion rings were crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside, with a little bit of that tangy beer batter flavor. The burger was piled high with tart, crunchy pickles, crisp lettuce, and a big tomato wedge that was perfectly ripe. Rounding up the presentation was some of the crispies, most perfectly cooked bacon. I've seen in a while and a nice wedge of Gouda cheese, melting, and oozing over it all. On the first bite, you could tell this was definitely chargrilled and done right. The beef was cooked through, but not dried out and the whole thing was a big juicy delicious pile of goodness. My waitress, Allie, was Jonny on the spot with everything. Sort of like the butler from Mr. Deeds; anytime you would start to think about needing something, she would magically appear and practically read your mind, bringing you exactly what you wanted. I was shocked to discover she's fairly new here because she's really good at her job and seems to fit right in. Overall, I'd give the burger and 9.5 out of a 10. It might be able to use just a tad bit of more seasoning. I'd give Allie an 11 out of 10 because she really went above and beyond not just for me, but her service was so good, I actually watched her with the other patrons and she was all over it like a bad topure on Howard Cosell, only in a good

I made fun of it when I read the sign as my father would eat Vienna sausages but this is not that, so good! The pizza is actually really good and it's Chicago traditional not Chicago pie which is thick through out. Had the long count and it was delicious. I added a side meatball to try which was ok, i found it too crumbly and dry but sauce was ok. Only thing didn't care for was the cheesesteak. I guess I had a mind fart and was thinking Philly cheesesteak which I wanted. This is an overstuffed pot roast style sandwich which is not the style I like. Lots of cheese and didn't notice the peppers or mushrooms. The au jus added didn't help the sandwich. The fries were ok the onion rings didn't have flavor. Not a fan of big fried rings. Still that dog though haha! Service was friendly and it's a busy place.

First off, the pizza was absolutely incredible. They call it Chicago-style, but honestly... I lived in Chicago for 14 years, and I can't think of many places there that beat this pizza. We ordered the KO Pizza and it was outrageously good. Perfect crust, loaded with flavor, and the kind of pizza that makes you stop talking for a minute because everyone at the table is too busy eating. The place was packed wall-to-wall, so service took a little while, but it was worth every second of the wait. Honestly, when a restaurant is this busy on a Sunday night before Memorial Day, that usually tells you everything you need to know. Also worth mentioning: I ordered a "small" side salad... which arrived in what appeared to be a family-sized serving bowl. My mom and I ended up splitting it because apparently Rocky's definition of "small" is "feed a softball team." Prices were shockingly reasonable, especially for the quality and portions. This place is a true Hot Springs institution right across from Oaklawn, and if you've never been, you absolutely need to go. It completely lives up to the nostalgia and hype. And a special shoutout to Jamie the bartender -- infectious smile, bobbing her head to the music while pouring drinks, and bringing such a fun, welcoming energy to the whole place. People like that are part of what makes restaurants memorable. Can't wait to come back.

THEN, there's this homeless looking guy standing at the rail outside of the restaurant watching one of the games on TV. There may have been 3 tables occupied in the whole place and at least 20 open. Where does she sit me and my wife? YEP. At the table where the dude is standing. He is 2 feet from us. Only reason I didn't get up and leave is because I knew my wife was hungry and this was the only option and it was already 2pm. I think there were 3 or 4 very young people working in there. I wish I'd taken a picture of the sad little old fashioned I ordered that was 1 ounce of bourbon and some sugar. Two sips and that was gone for $12. Didn't see the waitress for a while so I walked to the bar and got a beer. Can't go wrong there. Beer was fine. We order chicken tenders and french fries to share. Can't go wrong there, right? Wrong! Wrong! The chicken tenders had a funny taste to them and they were rubbery. The fries were fine. So we shared the french fries, finished our drinks, hid the uneaten chicken tenders in the french fries basket so they wouldn't ask any questions, paid the bill and got out of there. Lord have mercy. Can't wait to never go back.

Ordered wings and they were good, very large (!), but might have cooked just a little longer. The garlic parm was good, nice presentation and recommend it. Buffalo wings were good too - sauce tasted a lot like the one I make using Frank's red hot (but that's ok). Hideaway Restaurant - First Taco Tuesday Under New Ownership…read more I genuinely wanted this place to succeed. The Hideaway has one of the prettiest locations in the area overlooking the golf course. Scott and Susan Pennington recently took over ownership, and tonight was their first Taco Tuesday. I was excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, the evening never found its footing. The restaurant wasn't busy. There were only a few occupied tables inside and a couple outside, yet the entrance was completely blocked by a standing happy-hour crowd. They were friendly people, but customers had to squeeze through them just to get in. That's a management issue, not a customer issue. Don't host a happy hour in your doorway. Then came the first surprise. No hostess. No greeting. No explanation that this is an "order at the bar" restaurant. We sat outside for nearly 15 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us before finally going inside to ask for service. Only then were we told we had to order at the bar. That's perfectly acceptable--many pubs operate that way--but someone needs to tell customers when they walk in. A simple sign or a quick greeting would eliminate the confusion. The bar itself was another challenge. People were lined up on both sides under "Order and Pay Here" signs with no clear indication of who was next. The lone bright spot of the evening was Alysa behind the bar. She was taking orders, making drinks, answering questions, and trying to keep everything moving while wearing far too many hats. She wasn't the problem--she was doing everything she could to hold the operation together. Our party of six ordered together. Four meals arrived. The other two didn't arrive until another 10 to 15 minutes later. Keep in mind from sitting down and waiting till going to the bar and ordering and actually getting our food was 45 minutes and only 4 of 6 got served. A table should be served together whenever possible. Watching half your party eat while the other half waits isn't a great dining experience. The drink service created another problem. Since there is no table service, every refill meant leaving your table, standing in line at the bar, waiting to order, waiting again for the drink, and carrying it back yourself. Each trip took around eight to ten minutes. On a beautiful outdoor patio where people come to relax, that simply doesn't work. One server dedicated to the patio would dramatically improve the experience. Now, the food. The corn salad was honestly excellent--sweet, creamy, and easily the best thing we ordered. Unfortunately, the tacos didn't live up to the setting. The pulled pork tasted like pre-packaged food-service pork, the shredded chicken was bland and forgettable, and while my mother enjoyed the shrimp taco, nothing on the menu felt unique or memorable. With such a beautiful location, why not feature Arkansas flavors? A catfish taco, grilled steak, smoked brisket, or house-marinated chicken would give people a reason to come back instead of serving tacos they could find almost anywhere. The good news is that every issue I experienced can be fixed. The location is outstanding. The patio is beautiful. Alysa is the kind of employee every restaurant hopes to have. BTW, I never met her before tonight. What this restaurant needs now are systems, training, and experienced restaurant management. In hindsight, this probably should have been a soft opening to work through the operational issues before inviting the public. Restaurants aren't just in the food business--they're in the food service business. People don't always remember what they ate. They always remember how a restaurant made them feel. I sincerely hope Scott and Susan succeed because this community deserves a great restaurant in this location. I'll gladly return in a few months, and I'd genuinely love nothing more than to write a glowing five-star follow-up review once the growing pains have been worked out.
