We came here twice during our Army Reunion at Hot Springs , Arkansas. Food was good as usual and so was the service. I had the All American Breakfast the first time and the Sausage , Egg , and Cheese Bowl with Jalapenos the second time. My friends all said their food was good and a great value. The place was clean and a little busy each time , but we didn't have to wait long for our food and didn't have to wait for a table or eat at the counter. The parking lot is good sized and we found a spot both times even though there were quite a few cars. I would definitely recommend eating here. read more

DEJA and PEDRO were two of the most friendly people I have ever met in my 46 years. I was so overwhelmed with being impressed. I simply stopped at a Waffle House to have a small bite to eat and walked in to such a wonderful, welcoming, clean, atmosphere with fresh delicious food and impeccable customer service. The only possible complaint that I could have was rude customers being ugly to the wonderful staff here which is something I can do nothing about. Highly recommend this place even above the local breakfast places on Central Avenue on bathhouse Row. A waffle, coffee and 3 strips of bacon was only $7.75. Ratchet! Ratchet! Ratchet! If this wasn't the skummiest shit hole of a waffle house Idk where a worse 1 could be! We stood at the ordering station for 30 mins w/out being greeted for 1. Then a group comes in and they're seated, given utensils, & 3 cokes brought to them & we havent even been spoken to yet. At this point I'm pissed and ready to leave but my friend was catching a flight and wanted food. After a few more long ass minutes our order is taken. Then it took 30mins to receive an incorrect order! I ordered the bacon cheese steak no cheese, hashbrowns with cheese, mushrooms, onions, jalapenos. Cheese steak had cheese & no bacon, hash browns had 1 mushroom. After complaining they topped it w/jalapenos. Smh The employees were arguing and cursing at each other. We went there because we needed to get in & out inexpensively so my husband could start his bicycle ride. When we arrived they were quite busy & there was one table (not near the kitchen) free, but it hadn't been cleaned off. We went ahead & sat down to wait, but no one ever came. I mean there was food everywhere, an empty Skoal container & Skoal particles all over the plates & table. Another table came free, but it was right by the kitchen. They cleaned that one off, but another couple sat down there & their order was quickly taken...while we continued to sit at the gross table. After about 15 mins a server came our way & I managed to make eye contact with her. She said it was going to be awhile & I asked if we could just get the table cleaned. She repeated that it was going to be awhile...we got up to leave. As we were leaving, she was angrily screeching out some sort of excuse at us. I understand being busy & I wouldn't have minded waiting, but I did expect the table to be cleaned & not to be yelled at. All things considered, it was a good thing this happened because Phil's Family Restaurant was shoutin distance away, it was adorable, so was our server & the food was tasty & inexpensive. Went there around 12:30 at night with three friends, the waiter guy was terrible, took one of our orders and left, watched him talk with his coworker for a long time bout random stuff, wouldn't take anyone else's order, then when we asked if him if we could order he made snarky remarks. One of my friends tried to get his attention by saying "sir" he wouldn't respond. His coworker said "it's she" if the dude wants to go by opposite pronouns then go ahead but how are we supposed to know if you're clearly a dude? Ignoring us until my friend heard the other waiter say it goes by she and then said "ma'am" then finally talked to us to get the other order. Still ignored the third person after getting the second order went right back to talking ignoring us. I never leave bad reviews like this but it's ridiculous to not talk to your guest just because they don't know your pronouns. Finally got our third persons order in, food came out wrong. the cook added pickles to a hash brown bowl for whatever reason. Didn't add gravy like we asked for. Sent it back and he added the gravy but that happened with every ones order where they forgot the gravy. Everyone there was high and couldn't concentrate on what we were asking for. No silverware, no water that we asked for, when we ask about the water, made snarky remarks. Go to the other waffle house on central, these guys are retarded. read more

Honestly, this was the best experience I've had at a Waffle House since i was a kid. The food was cooked well (Jenn is an awesome cook) and my server (Laura) was kind and even though she was stressed and preoccupied with a coffee cup mishap, she still kept my coffee cup full and got me what i asked for when i asked for it. If you want a low stress dinner on a Tuesday night, this is a good option. I'll be back, for sure. :) read more

I walked in tonight, saying hello to several employees on my way to my seat. After 8 minutes of sitting there with only intermittent eye contact with a server who was clearly avoiding me, I got up and left. Also several employees were too busy playing grabass behind the line to be concerned with customers coming in the door. The reviews you read about this location being dysfunctional are absolutely true. I certainly hope my race didn't play a factor in their decision not to serve me. The food here is delicious, but the best thing about this place is the service. We receive warm welcomes and excellent service from every person at work. Our server was Trisha and she was super friendly and very prompt! The manager checked on us at one point and made sure that we had everything we need. We ended up there because because everywhere else downtown had really long waits and we're so glad we came. read more

I'm horrified and absolutely humiliated! Last time my boyfriend and I were there, while we were eating, the waitress was talking jokingly with the others and pointed directly at us saying "All new girls have to wait on THEM." As soon as she came back to us my boyfriend asked what she meant by it, and she said we were "rough around the edges". Now, I am an honors college graduate and my boyfriend is a CNA working at a nursing home, probably the most high class people there, employees included! We both always try to be extra polite and we always tip. But it wouldn't matter if we were hobos off the street, you do NOT insult your customers, especially right in front of them. This place misses the mark at many levels for breakfast my wife and I jokingly referred to this as "awful house". We occasionally stop in for breakfast because of the limited options in this town. At best, you can expect prompt and friendly service and a quick turnaround time on your order. Depending on the time of day, expect some sketchy characters loitering in the dining room and a folksy charm of the staff. The food quality is substandard- particularly the potato product masquerading as hash browns. It's never cheap either. 3 item omelette with bacon, hash browns and coffee was $16 b4 tip. Great late night place to eat. I ordered the southwest omelet, hash browns and grits. I ate every bite because it was good! The cook came over to ask if I liked the omelet. Nice touch! I ordered unsweetened tea which was not drinkable. I think it was too old. I drank water instead. My server was shy and not talkative but he was attentive.
