I think Apple Bees has already filed for bankruptcy? After a normal wait time to get a table on a Saturday the "horrific evening started." 1 paper menu to share with 7 people. The waitress asked if we were ready and I said we need a minute with 1 menu and 7 people. She said it was new because of the new rules. I would hope Apple Bees wouldn't mind to make sure everyone had their own menu so we dont spread the virus? Remember, sharing is bad. Then after ordering all items that have a cook/prep time of under 10 minutes it took over an hour to get our food. The restaurant only had about 12 tables with people because of the rules but this is where they are crushing themselves. They should have like a full kitchen staff and more "crushing" out orders. You need to keep the few people in the restaurant coming back and build loyalty. This is great time to build clients. Since you are mandated to have so many tables restricted you should be taking advantage and have a full cooking staff to flip the tables.------come in, quick meal, next table and the previous table tells everyone how fast they were to get food and out. The waitress said only 3 cooks were in the back and apologized. To top it off I got my food 10 minutes after everyone else because it takes over an hour to deep fry shrimp and fries. This place has gone down hill. I remember traveling from Cross Lanes just to eat here when it first opened. Now I cringe at the thought of being invited to eat here. The staff is weird and touchy with my kids, I don't like that. Hands off. Always something wrong with a big order. read more

This is a great get together with friends type restaurant. The atmosphere is fun, laid back, relaxing. The food is great and drinks are nice. Service is almost always great. Food has always been good, except a few times something would be forgotten or maybe cooler than desired. Most of the time, we dont have a complaint at all, and when we do, it's not major. read more

Their French Onion Soup is to die for. I always thought .......Restaurant had the world best onion rings. Well, ........ closed and Applebee's now has the best. There is a full menu and you won't be disappointed. read more

We ordered curbside to go today for lunch. HUGE company wide order. everything was perfect and all items were included, hot & fresh. As soon as we pulled up they ran it right out and we signed and were on our way. 5 minutes top! such good service my husband and myself grabbed his dinner later and again wonderful service and superb product! keep up the excellent work & stay safe! read more

Servic was wonderful. Food was great too. We went close to close so I was a little hesitant. But not disappointed at all.

We have been coming to this restaurant for the past 3 years and I just wanted to let people know how wonderful the staff is and how delicious the food is. My husband and I normally like to sit at a high top, but unfortunately one was not available so we decided to sit at the bar. A choice I'm glad we made. The bartender was very attentive and very friendly. I was amazed at how fast she was. Our food came out quickly and hot. I see the manager often and we've spoken to her several times and we really like her. She is always engaged with her customers, but tonight she was a super star - a super woman. Now, as I am sitting there eating we notice a sort of disruption if you will among the staff. A server I guess was accused of loosing a patrons credit card and the guys visibly mad then I see manager who is literally going from that table to whoever hollered at her, back to the table - very chaotic to say the least; however, the man I seen that was missing his card was now laughing with the manager. And now we realized that the real disruption was a gentleman who clearly had too much to drink and was wandering around. The gentleman that was wandering aimlessly around has now settled at the end of the bar. I seen the manager walk down and stand at the cash register and he asks for a beer. She politely tells him no. To make this a short story he gets upset and says some not so nice words to her, but she don't break. She tells him that she doesn't want him to get in trouble, hurt himself, or hurt anyone else if he was driving. He continued to carry on until he finally paid her and finally walked out. I appreciate women like her. She stood her ground, was very professional, polite, and empathetic. Qualities you don't find in people now a days. My husband and come back to Applebees because of Darleen. You're lucky to have such wonderful employees! read more

Me and my friends came to this TV location late just to get 1/2 price apps and a few drinks. First of all there was no one at the door to seat us, we had to go get a waitress to seat us. We then waited 5/7 minutes to even order our drinks. The drink took literally 20 minutes to get. She started bringing out the apps first before we even got the drinks. Then our waitresses response was "oh the bar is super backed up I have tables waiting for beers longer than you've been waiting" she then brought out a 1/2 melted "frozen" drink after we had our food. I asked for silverware twice because we had our food with no utensils.. she then brought us out some Togo plastic silverware and said "legit" after we just looked at her. She said there's none rolled so I'd have to roll you some if you want silverware.. over all our food was fine but our service was not. Most likely won't be back to this location. read more

Let me start by saying, I like Applebees on occasion. I haven't eaten at another Applebees since my experience at this one in Teays Valley. My husband and I ordered full meals including apps. I had a sirloin and he had a simple club sandwich. My steak tasted disgusting and I ate 1 bite. My husband ate about half his sandwich and started to feel sick. Needless to say we both ended up with food poisoning, he worse than I. He had to go to the ER. We have enjoyed our experiences there up to that day and we have never been back. So if your thinking what to do for dinner or you are from out of town... I would suggest not to visit the "neighborhood". read more

This location used to be the best around. Now? Not so much. The last few times my wife and I have eaten here have been bad. The last time was and will be the very last time. Barbecue riblets with no sauce, blackened fish with no seasoning, a staff with no clue what apps are half price. The list goes on. Bad food, bad service. read more

When I came here and ordered a steak medium rare it came out almost raw. The mashed potatoes were also cold which sucked, and of course they didn't offer a discount or anything like that. Terrible service, meal, not going back. We ordered the 2/20. I had the Lime Feista Chicken, companion had Chicken Fingers with fries and we had spinach dip. My meal was awful. Not sure what the gloppy sauce was on the chicken, but was overpowering in lime taste. Chicken was on top of tortilla strips and they were soggy. Rice was bland and cold. Spinach dip was tasteless and chips were stale. Companions meal was basic chicken fingers and fries, can't hardly mess up on that. Just throw in deep fryer and serve. read more

I think Applebees is caught not knowing if they want to be a bar that serves food or a restaurant that has a bar. The food is ok but the kitchen needs work. The onion rings taste like everything else they fry. It ata st ed like the fryer had not been cleaned in weeks and the oil was probably 2 weeks or older. I went to lunch and the only thing that was good was the salad. The staff is great and seem to care. I bar is a good place to get a great at drink but the beer selection is small. With the recent surge in craft brews they need to expand the beer line and profit from the trend. Overall, I live less th an 1/2mile from the s location and usually drive 10 miles o r more to get a drink or have a meal. read more

This is not a place you need to give your business to. A very sweet, hard working friend of mine was just recently PUNCHED in the FACE in front of other employees, BY THE GENERAL MANAGER, and they fired HIM, and she still has her job with no repercussions from PUNCHING AN EMPLOYEE. Ten years ago, I was terminated from this company over a personal vendetta, and lead on for over a week that I would have a job there because they "needed my experience and had hardly any decent servers". My interview went very well and so did my two (over 30 minute) phone calls with one of the managers, Pam. After my interview, she told me she was going to check my references (all good), that she had already emailed corporate for permission, and made me think I had a job. They then did not even call me, sent me an e-mail from corporate saying that they will NEVER consider me for employment and that my resume was taken out of their files. 10 years ago the food was better, and it was a better place to work.
