Another fail by this location. The bar area was a mess and they were not busy. The cold air is positioned to turn the bar over often. We waited almost 40 minutes for the food, manager on the line looking at the cook times. No apology. Bartender brought a steak out for a single who ordered after us. She said oh I saw yours as I was picking his up. Well you should've left his until you delivered ours! There was only 6 people at the bar. Baked potato cold. What a great experience! And great food! We sat at the bar tonight, the bartender/server was great! He was busy and paid just enough attention to us! The vibe was perfect. I Appreciated him asking if we wanted bread-because we didn't want to spoil eating the good stuff! I wish I got his name-but it's 7/30/2025 around 7. My bill was only 50$ and I tipped him 40$! I ate at this location in Charleston, WV on 11/12/2025. I wanted to go somewhere familiar, so I chose Longhorn (which is one of my favorite steakhouses)! However, as soon as I walked into the establishment I felt something was off, as it smelled nasty (like a dirty trash can type of nasty)! The host was scrambling around to help a woman who had apparently lost her credit card (which I get), as I stood there waiting (looking at other restaurants in the area as backup). She finished helping the lady and proceeds to take me back to my table. As I was following her to my table and observing my surroundings, I noticed that the carpet was absolutely filthy; straw wrappers, napkins, and food crumbs scattered everywhere! So, I sat down at the table, and noticed the table top isn't clean either, so I asked the waitress if she could please clean it. She proceeded to do so, after bringing the bread out and looked rather annoyed as she did it (maybe that's just her personality though?) - almost spraying my bread with the cleaning product. THEN, I open up my silverware and notice they weren't fully clean, they had grease smudges and a film on them, several spots with hard pieces not cleaned off...I asked for another set, so the waitress went and grabbed me another; low and behold, not 1 but 2 sets not fully cleaned (thankfully 1 of the 2 forks looked ok, so I used that one). The waitress brings my water out and as I'm taking a sip, I notice that the cups not the cleanest either - I just dealt with it and didn't drink any the rest of the visit. I was still contemplating leaving, but decided to stick it out because I had just traveled a long distance and didn't want to lose anymore time! I got a 12oz New York Strip (medium), steakhouse mac n cheese, and a baked sweet potato - the food was just ok, nothing more or less...steak wasn't what I asked for and half way through the mac n cheese I noticed pieces of brussel sprouts in the mix, and the sweet potato was burnt. Moral of the story...TRUST YOUR GUT - it will never do you wrong! If something doesn't feel right, look right, smell right, or sound right, leave! If the lobby area is filthy and smells like trash, what does the kitchen look like? Also, what kind of behavior is going on when nobody's looking?...These are "grown adults" that are handling the FOOD that we pay for with our hard earned money, so when you're paying that kind of money, it should be a good experience! I should've left, and I'm upset that I didn't! To the manager, what does true integrity look like to you??? I work in management; as a manager myself, I know what excellence and integrity looks like, and it was nowhere to be found at this place - I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, ever! Seems like a nice place with a cattle theme, but tables are a little close. But they have lots more than steaks on the menu. I had the top sirloin, medium rare with only one side (a fair simple 'mixed greens' salad with a limited choice of dressings). It was seared on one side only and it was very stringy. I had to yank out some stringy, unchewable thing from every bite. I tried all edges and angles. I figured the cook wasn't careful in selecting this poor slice (maybe the cook sliced it). I ate maybe a third and gave up. (Noticed it is not on their lunch website; if they are not proud of it, then why is it available?) Service was good, so she brought me another. The waiter said their top sirloin was not as tender as their others. I hope so. I've had this cut before at other restaurants, and it has never been this bad. The second one was considerably thicker, seared very heavily on one side and normally on the other. The sear was so heavy that it was difficult to cut and chew; further apparently it was one of their "7 pepper" cuts that I tried to avoid. It was a bit less stringy, but not entirely so. I was able to finish the thing, but I did not enjoy the tough sear and the pepper. I've had better steaks at Dennys. read more

Longhorn Steakhouse is one of our favorite places to eat in the Charleston area. The service is usually quite good and our food is normally cooked to order and very tasty. They added a new menu item of a 9 oz. Parmesan Crusted Chicken and half rack of ribs. Two of my favorite entrees together. I ordered it with loaded baked potato and the strawberry salad. Obviously, I couldn't eat all of it so I took the chicken home with me. We were seated quickly and our server was very efficient on this visit. Longhorn is my favorite restaurant in Southridge. The food is consistently delicious. I've never eaten anything that I didn't like there. My favorite dish is the parmesan crusted chicken. It's absolutely divine. The portions are huge. The smaller portion feels me up! The chicken, a side, and a salad is $15. On Saturday, I couldn't even finish my meal because I was so stuffed! I've never had a bad server there either. They train their staff well. My server on Saturday was an absolute doll. She was attentive and extremely friendly. Way to go, Longhorn! read more

Wanted to have a nice dinner here on Christmas Eve. My car was broken into, even with me parked right in front of the door. Completely RUINED my Christmas plans. Lighting in the parking lot was and still is "broken". Manager lied and said it was fixed. Drove up there during dinner time. Guess what? The first time here in many years..got in and was seated quickly for lunch. Server was quick and very attentive..order the spicy chicken bites for a appetizer..also a salad..both was brought and quick and fresh..bites where delicious. On to the lunch entrees..one firecracker wraps..2 sirloin steaks..both steaks where cooked perfect and so flavorful. The sides where good and she loves her wrap. Ordinarily a 5, the restaurant today was a 3 at best. We had a great waitress and the bread was perfect. Here are the problems: we had poor seating which we requested to be moved and it happened, the salad had an immense amount of dressing (like a bowl of soup) that made the lettuce soggy, the steak was burned and had a few bites that tasted burned (never had this happen before in 40 years), a cup of butter had a water-like substance under the lump of butter, the baked potato was cut but did not contain butter (butter served on the side?), and the potato had a bad texture as if it had been microwaved. Mom said her steak item tasted a bit tainted or spoiled. My family rarely has an opportunity to eat in a restaurant together so this was an especially disappointing ($80) meal. read more

So we came to Longhorn because we had some gift cards. They sat us right away which is great but it went downhill from there. We sat down and 5 servers walked by us and didnt even help or serve us. We kept waiting and waiting. 20 minutes went by and i caught a manager to even get served. Two tables beside us got tables and served right away. Manager offered us free food but turned it down because we just wanted to order. Food was all right but not great. The servers are terrible and never checked on us really. Went to dinner with my family this evening, and my stepson chose Longhorn at Southridge. We had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated, they had been busy all day from what the staff told us. Alexander C was our waiter, he was amazing and very attentive even though he had a lot of tables to take care of. All of our steaks were cooked to perfection, the crispy Brussels sprouts were delicious. The salads were fresh, baked potatoes were great, and so was the mashed potatoes. Here is my review: My husband and I ate here Sunday, June 25, 2023. The time stamped on our receipt was 7:18 pm. I'm putting the date and time here for a good reason, This review isn't so much about our food or our server, although I will say my husband enjoyed his filet, my ribeye was pretty much inedible due to the amount of seasoning on it, even after I asked our waitress, Brianna L., to please ask them to go very light on the seasoning, but the French onion soup was delicious and my salad was good. Now for the real reason for this review. I have never in my life been as grossed out and disgusted by what I witnessed here this evening. After we paid the check, I went to the restroom and my husband said he'd be waiting outside. I'm in my stall when the door to the stall beside me opens. I see something hit the floor, and there lays a waitress's black apron and the server book they carry & lay on your table with your check in it! Yes, there it was on the filthy floor in front of the commode! Before you ask, I wish I HAD taken a picture, but it never crossed my mind, as I'm not the type who has her phone at the ready all the time, plus I think I was just too shocked to even think about taking a picture. I did tell my husband afterwards that I wish I HAD thought to take a picture! And yes, at least in my stall, there was a hook on the door, as my purse was hanging from it. When I came out of the stall, the waitress was at the sink, her apron and book, laying by the sink. I do not know if she washed her hands, because she got to the sink a few seconds before me. She picks up her apron,puts it on, ties it, picks up her book, and walks out behind me, having to wait a second while I finish drying my hands and use the towel to open the door. I just could not let this go unreported. I asked another server who was inputting an order at one of their stations, if he could point out the manager to me. He points to this lady, who was helping a server deliver some food. I waited till she was done and asked to speak with her. I noticed that the waitress in question was just walking by where we were standing, I don't know know if she overheard the beginning of my conversation with the manager or not, but she did stop for a couple of seconds, about 3 feet from where we were, and looked at us. I tell the manager what had happened, that this apron and book were on the floor for several minutes, and I also pointed out the waitress as she was walking away from us. I told her this was beyond disgusting! She says she is sorry, that this should never happen, and that she would "talk" with her. I told the manager I was certainly glad she wasn't our server, and I left. On the drive home I got really upset with myself for not doing/saying more! What I wished I had done, and would have after having time to think about it more, and having my husband with me, was to see what tables she was serving and tell those customers what I had just witnessed! You don't have to agree, but I wish I could have warned these folks. They had a right to know the person serving them had on the same apron she had just thrown on the bathroom floor, right in front of the toilet, along with her book; the same apron she was touching, wiping her hands on, the same hands delivering refills, handing them silverware, straws, picking up/delivering their food, the same book, she was leaving on their tables with their check in it! I have to think it isn't acceptable at any dining establishment to wear your apron into the restroom!!! If you were at Longhorn Sunday evening, June 25, around 7:15 - 7:30 ish, I'm sorry I didn't speak up. I'm also sorry I didn't get the waitress's name or the manager's name. Before anyone starts in, I don't want anyone to lose their job, but if a person doesn't know that you just don't throw your apron on the floor in front of the commode, and then put in back on and go back to waiting tables, this isn't the line of work for you! read more

Plenty of tables available yet we were sat at the booth right next to the kitchen, and had to listen to the staff listening to what I can describe as Irish pub kareoke. It was torture to the ears. They have some of the best chicken tenders around, and I love the ranch (pro tip: butter your bread and dip it on the ranch and ask for the ginger chili sauce on the side - soo good!) Very poor network coverage from T-Mobile in this part of Charleston, so I looked around the mall and chose the best of the options available. There's nothing wrong with Longhorn at all. As with most chains, it's a known quantity with glossy menus and reasonably priced entrees. So I popped in, was shown to a seat, and ordered a steak and a beer. A loaf of bread with an icy center arrived a few minutes later. I let the waitress know and she apologized. A new loaf was delivered with some improvement. At the same time, my caesar salad was delivered. Freezing cold plate in this place, for some reason. Just as I finished my salad, the steak arrived. Covered in blue cheese crumbles (as ordered for an extra $1), with the side of brussels sprouts. The steak was cooked perfectly as requested (medium rare) and there was a reasonable portion of the blue cheese. The sprouts were top notch and I would recommend them strongly. Tender and al dente with bits of bacon and bunches of melted cheese. Delish. My waitress was very friendly and dis a great job.
