This is more of a slam against Applebee's as a whole, not totally directed at our local location. The whole situation was a bad experience so I'll just give cliff notes opposed to a long drawn out explanation. Andy, our waiter, was great and fast with ordering and refills until it got super busy. We did 2 of the 2 for 20 including an ap for each. Andy gave us a stack of plates for it and mine was dirty. Before i could say anything he was GONE. 2 mins later I was finally able to flag him down again for a refill and clean plate. The boneless wings were great. I ordered no onions on my salad and told him I didn't want any onions in my order. My order came with onions on it. I sighed and pushed it all aside. I told him I ordered no onions. He apologized and said he didn't know none on my chicken. He was overwhelmed BUT didn't offer to replace it or take it off the bill, he just said sorry and left....grr... I started on my salad which was water logged. Gross! I only had 3 bites and pushed it to the side. I tried the chicken and it tasted like onion and burnt plastic. Everyone at the table tried it and didn't like it. Andy came back with the bill and my hardly touched dinner he knew I didn't like was on the bill! I was LIVID! Everyone at my table was done eating, all of our drinks were empty, and I had a full plate of gross sitting in front of me. I saw a guy dressed nicely talking with 2 waitresses while clearing a table . I asked if he's the manager . He said no and said he'd go find her. I was confused because the Manger was dressed like a waitress. She was VERY friendly and apologetic. She had a word with Andy and he apologized and said he was a little overwhelmed. She offered to replace my meal, I declined since everyone was done eating. She took it off of the bill and sent us dessert. Very nice touch. I paid the bill and when we were leaving they apologized again and said have a nice night. I've never been an Applebee's fan and it wasn't my choice to go there. I will say that the place is clean (aside from my dirty plate), very popular with walmart shoppers from the Plaza behind it, very busy, and the manager was beyond accommodating and friendly. This location has its ups and downs. I despise when I have to order delivery as they also leave stuff out or they make it wrong. It's very disappointing as it's happened to me at least 4 times now. When you order steak and want it to be medium rare, it always comes out well done. Even when they fix it, it's never medium rare. I just feel as if they should pay more attention and not forget people's food with delivery orders. When you call them they give you the "I'm sorry it should happen here's a $10 certificate!" This is very much appreciated but it shouldn't be a continuing issue. read more

My Wife and I visited on a cold winter night, place not busy, Staff friendly. Waited a while for food. My steak was terrible, asked for medium and was rare in the middle and God awful salty. Green beans were really salty with no garlic, and the potatoes were bland. Server didn't come by till we were more than half way done, never asked how food was. I then took survey and also filled in "contact us" online, got email saying will contact you 3 to 5 days. Well its been over a week. Guess I'm not important, just my money for that was not a cheap meal. I'm done. read more

I'll start with the cliche "if I could give them 0 stars I would". The server was nice and professional but not really attentive. The real issue is the food and drinks. My wife and I decided on the 2 for $20 meal as it was meant to be a quick bite before heading on a road trip. We chose Caesar salad as our appetizers and both settled on the fiesta lime chicken meals and also ordered an extra side of boneless Buffalo wings. My wife also decided to have the pot of gold colada since she wasnt gonna be the one driving lol. The poor food started immediately with the salads. When they came they didn't have the dressing already on them and we had to pour it ourselves. After applying the dressing and taking our first bite we both noticed the dressing was most certainly not Caesar and tasted pretty sour. We don't like to waste food so instead of complaining we pushed through it and tried to enjoy it. That didn't happen and we ended up leaving more than half of it untouched. The boneless wings were great and the blue cheese that came with them was also fresh. Somewhere in between the wings and the main dish arriving my wife's drink came and it looked delicious and came in a HUGE glass!! However as we have been told since we were little children you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. The drink was absent any type of alcohol and was just a huge bowl of slush. We aren't big drinkers so any amount of alcohol would be noticed.again rather than complain to the waitress we just dealt with it and continued our meal. On the the fiesta chicken that tasted more like a funeral than a party. Undercooked chicken, dry rice and a waste of baked tortilla chips smothered in a poor excuse for queso. There was no finishing the meal for us. We paid our bill on the tablet on the table and left. As customers who frequent Applebee's atleast 4 times a month we were totally disappointed. We don't expect fine dining at Applebee's with Michelin rated food but we do expect consistency with the food. Applebee's in nyc should state the same as Applebee's in Lakewood NY. Please do better and put out tasteful food. There is a reason why this location has a 2 star rating and only 10 reviews. read more

Let us pray. The food was horrible and getting worse, customer service sucks 90% of the time, there's a prevailing attitude of arrogance amongst staff, and the drink menu is shoddy. Applebees is teetering on a fine line and fate similar to their parking lot cousin Ruby Tuesday. If I were an employee there, I'd be preparing my resume or applying elsewhere. I always come to Applebee's, usually the food is good, but the last time I visited I seen a group of waitresses sitting at the bar without masks on and not doing anything, a few days later I seen that there were 3 cases of covid... are you serious. We went later at night and they weren't very busy. It was good typical chain restaurant food. Two of us ordered mudslides, which are delicious. They upgraded the size of them without asking but they are so good it wasn't a huge deal. My fiancé got the bourbon street chicken and shrimp which he really enjoyed, but there was a piece of plastic in it. We told our waiter, who then took the plastic and sent the manager over to our table. When we explained about the plastic he seemed confused and wanted to see it but the waiter had taken it. He offered us $10 off our bill. Which was nice. The rest of the food was delicious though. read more

this Applebee's is craplebees. it's like their entire menu is made in a dorm room microwave. the only things worthwhile here are appetizers and alcohol. even then they are way over priced and not any better than any of the local bars. I think they only stay alive because of their convenient location, hours, and trivia nights. read more

We had a nice meal. Excellent service. However they made an up charge of $3.00 billed as $1.50 twice to add onions to my salad. When I discussed the matter with the duty manager all I got was "that's our policy". I doubt we'll be back. And if I do we won't ask for onions! read more

Its alright, the food is main stream and basically just okay. Some of the servers are very friendly, others not so nice!

Bartender was very nice and service was quick. The blackens talapia was a bit over cooked.

This is one of our usual lunch spots. Service and food is always good. Our favorite is the 2 for $20. You get 2 meals plus an appetizer for less than it costs to get 2 burgers. My favorite is the fiesta lime chicken, and my husband usually gets chicken fingers. My only criticism is that the rice that comes with the fiesta lime chicken is always undercooked, almost crunchy. I imagine that it comes in a bag and they heat it up. If they made it fresh, it would be so much better. read more

I am finally going to give up on Applebee's, although I love their Oriental Chicken Salad. However, after several bad experiences, continuing to patronize this restaurant would just make me a glutton for punishment. On 1 visit, the waitress provided very poor service&had a bad attitude too, so I left her a tip of 0.10--didn't want her to think I had forgotten. I paid with a credit card&put the tip on the charge slip. When my credit card bill came, tho, the tip had been increased to $3! I was steaming mad, so of course I called to complain. I spoke with the manager, who assured me that it had been an honest mistake. I didn't believe that, but he promised to send a $10 gift card for my trouble, so I let it drop. Guess what? The gift card never arrived&the next time I called, the manager to whom I had spoken had been let go&the new one couldn't help me. Well, after several months I went back. At the time, they were having a promotion with all you can eat soup&salad. On 2 separate occasions I ordered this special. Both times, the waitress took forever to bring the meal&even longer to come back&check in, so I never got more than 1 serving. How long does it take to bring out soup&salad, both of which are no doubt pre-made? I figured that Applebee's purposely had staff slow down service so that people would pay for all you can eat but leave after getting only 1 serving. I should have just called it quits then, but I gave them 1 more chance, since I was given a gift card. I ordered the Carside to go service. It took a while to get to the restaurant, as the weather was terrible. I thought the staff would be waiting for me to pull in, especially as there was almost no one else at the restaurant that night, but they weren't. After waiting 10 minutes, I had to call the restaurant before they brought my food out. Despite that, I gave the server a good tip, since I was grateful that I didn't have to go out in the bad weather. Imagine my surprise, when I got home 30 minutes later, that the order was incorrect. Instead of Oriental Chicken Salad, I had been given shrimp and chicken and mashed potatoes. Again, I called to complain &was promised a gift card. Again, that gift card never came. What more is there to say? Obviously poor management&service&shady practices are the norm at this restaurant, so I would advise everyone to STAY AWAY! read more
