It was our first time visiting the Chautauqua Lake region for our five-year anniversary and my wife booked this place for our special dinner on a Saturday. We arrived a little early and grabbed a seat at the bar and enjoyed some Apperol Spritz's. A very nice gentleman that we were chatting with ended up secretly buying our drinks for us which was a lovely surprise. The dining room is romantic and dimly lit and we were seated around our reservation time. Our waitress was super nice and wore a mask because she told us "The kids are back in school" so we assumed she was a Mom or a teacher. We appreciated it a lot because we have an ill relative that we need to protect. Our dinner was super delicious. We started with the fried oysters that were prepared with the lightest tempura like batter and served with a remoulade sauce and some arugula & tomatoes on the side. For our mains, we had the Heritage Farms Pork Chop which was salty due to the brining process but had absolutely wonderful flavor otherwise. We also tried one of the daily specials which was a tenderloin steak with lobster tail and tasted incredible. For dessert, we got the tart to go and took it back to our room to have with some champagne to celebrate our anniversary. That tart was out of this world good. Do NOT pass it up if you see it on their menu. This is a terrific restaurant, and we would gladly return again if we're in the area.

Tasty food. The crab soup was delicious. I also really liked the fried oysters and the Jägerschnitzel. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Nice ambiance, I liked the leopard print wall paper and the ceramic dachshunds above the bar. Be sure to make a reservation for table seating..

Lasagna was SO yummy! The sauce was perfect.

One of the best places to eat in the Jamestown area. The ambiance, decor and the food were incredible. My husband had the lasagna and I ordered the lobster pasta dish and we both were so happy with our choices. We had to ask for extra bread because it was that good. The wait staff was professional and attentive. Great service. Great food. Definitely will be back. So happy to have this gem in our area.

A beautiful experience for large party dining. I highly recommend the lobster Nachos. We were a large party and the staff accommodated us perfectly. Attentive service, nice, generous, alcohol pour. Decent wine list and a very exciting menu. I had trouble choosing because it all sounded delicious. Clean bathroom and restaurant. I only wish they were in Phoenix, AZ so I could enjoy every week. Charming, decor on the inside and comfortably laid out for a relaxing dinner experience. The outside lacks curb appeal but that isn't the restaurant's fault. Overall, a grand experience!

    Gorgeous large bar

The bartender was super friendly and gave us some good tips on what to do locally. She also made us some "special shots" that we really loved. So much so that we ended up ordering a second round of them. She really knows how to pour a good drink. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the place, who was a very lovely woman. She told us a little bit about the history of the place and was very welcoming towards us. Her father was "Jack" from whom they got the name of the place from. We did also order some appetizers while we were there. I ordered the pizza log which was really good. It's comparable to an egg roll but with pizza inside. Delicious! My boyfriend ordered some fries and enjoyed them as well. Good food, good drinks and good company. We had a great time here and will definitely be back. If you get the chance to check this place out, go for it! You won't regret it.

The Empty Bottle is STBC's distillery and, to be honest, I think was more fun to go to compared to their bar/restaurant, The Empty Pint! Some family and I were visiting Jamestown for a weekend and after we had a few drinks and some food at The Empty Pint, we stumbled over to The Empty Bottle to sample some of their harder spirits and maybe some cocktails. Plus, we needed to escape the incredibly loud live music playing at The Empty Pint... Right from the start, it's a more intimate setting and was much more relaxed. We grabbed a table inside with no trouble at all and ordered a flight of their "Draught Cocktails". The ladies working behind the bar were incredibly fun, friendly, and enthusiastic and really brightened up our night! We enjoyed all of these drinks but we really loved one called "Transfusion", which was their vodka, Welch's Grape Juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and ginger ale. We all wanted to buy a few bottles of this, if they made it, it was absolutely delicious! The price for the flight was very reasonable too and they gave you a nice pour for each. If you want food though, you'll need to take a short walk over to The Empty Pint, though I'd recommend just grabbing some appetizers, do a bigger meal elsewhere. My advice to anyone visiting Southern Tier Brewing Company would be to first come to The Empty Bottle and enjoy cocktails and the harder spirits then round out the evening, once it gets a little later, with a Pumking (while it's on draft) at The Empty Pint, up the road a few steps. I'm really looking forward to coming back to The Empty Bottle the next time I'm in the area!

Steener's Pub popped up and the reviews were good. Located in Bemus Point just a couple of miles from I 86 made for a convenient stop. Steener's is located a bit outside of the Bemus Point main drag, but there are a couple of other businesses nearby. The building looks modern from the outside, inside it looks like the original bar area has been there quite a while, they then added a dining room and later a second dining room. The decor is casual tavern style, lots of wood and mellow colors without much extra. The menu is a nice mix of typical bar food with a good selection of fish and seafood which makes sense for a place so near to Chautauqua Lake. Service was good, the waitress was friendly. I ordered the fish and chips since it was highlighted in the menu. The order came out quickly, a huge batter fried fish fillet on top of a load of fries with side cups of tarter sauce and coleslaw. The fries and coleslaw were just what you expect, good but nothing special. The fish was outstanding, mild flaky white fish in a perfectly crunchy coating; delicious and very satisfying. My only complaint was that while it was nicely presented on a square plate, having the huge fish fillet on top of the fries made it difficult to eat since I had to move the fish around to get to the fries and cutting the fish with the fries underneath did not work well. I appreciate attractive food presentation is important, but this was too much food for the size of the plate. I really liked my dinner at Steener's, if they could raise the level of the side dishes to match the fried fish this would be truly exceptional. Keep making great fish, just upgrade the rest of food to match.
