Had to go again for the big deal! $9.99 for the BEST ever chicken sandwich, fresh hot fries, and a soft drink but we always get tea and that is acceptable. Seems like we always go on Mondays and we get Rebecca (she rocks)! On Mondays there is a special on a cheeseburger and fries for $6.99, so this visit my friend tried the chicken sandwich that I've been raving about and he agreed that it is DELICIOUS! He also ordered the Monday special to make sure to get his beef on because he says who ever is doing the grill knows what they are doing. I feel the same way in the produce bc the tomatoes are beautiful. The restrooms are very clean even though this establishment is decades old. If you haven't been in quite sometime, please give Applebee's another chance especially this location. The big deal can't be beat and the chicken sandwich is delicious. Visited 2/24/2025. Nice lady at the front greeted us & seated us promptly. Sat there for almost 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged our presence. I ordered coke to drink and a glass of water as I have problems swallowing. Never received the water. The food came out but we didn't have any cutlery with which to eat. After sitting there looking at our plates for about five minutes, I got up and walked over to a server in another area of the restaurant and asked for silverware. The food was hot and tasty, we'll give them that credit. But they never asked us if we wanted a refill for our drinks. And I had to get up and go to the bar to ask for a "go box". I wouldn't actually know how service or the food was because we left after over 20 minutes of being seated. My two granddaughters and I waited and waited for someone to simply take our drink order. I even asked one girl who was clearly waiting on the table next to us if she was our waitress and she stated that she had to check. What? Applebees in general is trash in Georgia, but specifically the one on Duluth Hwy. Today my experience was in Duluth with a waitress named Aaryon W. She had the worst customer service EVER. I have never met anyone (who chooses to work in hospitality) be so rude and snooty! I would suggest, if she doesn't like her job she should find a new one. I get it , we all have bad days, but the customers are not the punching bag. When I say this girl just didn't want to wait on us ! Despite her attitude , I was still nice and respectable ! If I could give negative reviews I would. The establishment has a weird smell when you walk in my son complained as soon as we were seated. My son received his food his mozzarella sticks were so cold the cheese would stiff to the breading. He also had no marinara and then we waited 15 minutes to get it. By this point the sticks were even worse. He decided to order a second meal because he didn't want to retry the cheese sticks. The corn dog was no better. I would've taken him to pleasant hill but this was way closer to my home. Then my card was left on the table and I called to ask the manager and she was the rudest woman I've ever spoken to. After "looking" for 30 seconds for my card she came back and said "no one made me aware of a card left here and I don't have one with ya name" I went to say ok thanks and she hung up. We dined in tonight, showed up at 10 and got seated right away which was nice. Took about 5 minutes to get our drinks and 20 to order any food which was ridiculous. We ordered the artichoke dip as an appetizer, and it came out hot but was tasteless. And I mean tasteless. I'm pretty sure I added a whole tablespoon of salt to make it decent. Kinda gross to be honest. When our meals came out they were SAD looking. And I mean sadddddddd. I got the 6oz sirloin with loaded mashed potatoes and garlic green beans. My sirloin looked like it had been in the fridge all day, and then microwaved before it was brought out to me. I ordered it Medium-Rare, and the outside was grey, the inside was "pinkish". It had no seasoning what so ever. It was bland and tasted like shoe leather. The green beans were in no way garlic, and tasted like those Steamables frozen things you get from Kroger. The mashed potatoes were pitiful as well. Microwaved trash. My Fiancé got the baby back ribs, four cheese Mac and loaded mashed potatoes. His ribs were okay, just dry. Mac wasn't that good, the pasta was over cooked and it was bland as all get out. His mashed potatoes were microwaved just like mine, except they were so hot in the center that he burned himself on them unexpectedly. We did the 2 for $25, and he got a coke with his meal. Our sides were upgraded so mine was an additional $3 and his was an additional $2. Why did the bill come out to 41?! AND charged me twice, both for different amounts. Our appetizer came with the 2 for $25, and yet he charged us for another one..? Extremely angry, waste of money and time, bland as ever. I'm sorry I even spent any money here. I'm not super impressed with this establishment. 2 stars because the food was good and came out correctly, but the service was very slow. We asked to be seated in the side room off the side of the main seating area because we have 2 small children and we know what a disruption they can be. The hostess put us at the table right near the Take-Out door and it was a chilly evening. Every time the door opened (which was every 2 minutes) we got a blast of wind and freezing cold air. The Take-Out door is also right next to the kitchen so we got to hear the noise and chaos of the kitchen for our entire meal. Plus it was hard not to get trampled on by the constant in and out of the servers from the kitchen. The side room is quite large so why they had to put us RIGHT BY THE OUTSIDE DOOR is beyond me. Applebee's has never been a place of interest for me but I won a gift card from a game so I decided to give it a try. My daughter ordered the boneless buffalo wings and was satisfied with her order. I had the riblet basket with fries and I did not like it at all. I have had this years ago and it was nothing like I remembered it being. The strawberry lemonade was a bit on the bootleg side. It was some type of opaque liquid with red syrup at the bottom. I guess that was suppose to be the strawberry to my lemonade. Either way I didn't taste any strawberry or any lemonade. For dessert I ordered the brownie bite which was very cheap. I believe it was $1.49 and it was just enough for me. I'm not too big on chocolate so usually I just want a small taste of it. It was a small 3-4 spoonful of the brownie with hot fudge and walnuts on top paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The dessert was the highlight of my visit. The customer service was good. I don't have any complaints on that. The restaurant appeared clean so no complaints on that.
