1 Star for making me wear a mask inside, because it partially helped hide the disgusting smell of the men's bathroom

I love the Applebee's menu. Unfortunately, the Longview store is an embarrassment to the chain and our city. Ripped seats, sometimes very slow waiters, floors not clean. A lot of our friends say they will no longer eat there. Please fix! I'm not sure why the management/owner is not doing anything after all these bad reviews on yelp. read more

Very disappointed in take out service. Ordered on line,told my order would ready at 8:15. The server brought wrong order and at 8:45 brought a version of my order. Tough steak,no potatoes or green beans, the half rack of ribs were good. No flatware and had to remind server for the tea I paid for. Needless to say to expensive for meal and poor service. Ok so I haven't liked applebees in a long time because it's dirty and smelly. My sister made me go this last Sunday and although it's still not really clean or smell the best I had a quesadilla burger that was amazing. But the smell and cleanliness is what will continue to keep me away. read more

Beyond filthy. I wanted to leave before I was seated, but couldn't without upsetting my family so I attempted to not look at ANYTHING. (I wasn't successful.) The entire floor was sticky, the carpet is frayed, there are splatter spots on the window blinds, and our table had crumbs on it. I could go on. I have a rule: if I can SEE filth, I don't want to even think about the kitchen that I cannot see. The food tasted ok, nothing special. I was too creeped out to eat more than a few bites though. The service was ho-hum. Waiter came quick but never checked on us except to ask if we wanted dessert. Other waitstaff wouldn't even step out of the way as I went to the restroom. I always get terrible service when I come here. Half of the time I don't even stay because no one comes to the front to greet or sit me. The drinks and food take forever to get even when there isn't a rush and my food is usually wrong. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. As soon as we get there we are greated with attitude from the hosts. Took over 20 minutes just to get asked what we wanted to drink. Meanwhile we're waiting for our drink and the waiter is walking around socializing with his coworkers. Horrible service. read more

Don't go!! The host sat us was very rude. She took us to a table and then asked us if we wanted somewhere else as if she didn't want us to sit there. We told her wherever she wanted was fine then she set menus on table and walked away before we even sat down. Server came over and was very short with us, didnt even tell us her name. I ordered the seasonal berry and spinach salad, when it came out it didn't have the pecans that it was suppose to and was drowned in dressing. Then while was asked for dessert we ordered one and she tried to walk away without the other person ordering their dessert. The server brings over the check before we even get our dessert. While we eat our dessert there was another server that was on break talking on the phone being rude to whoever they were talking about. Pretty much not very professional at all. Worst dining experience ever. Music was so loud i was yelling at our server for her to hear us. When trying to order I gave up and just left due to our server having to ask over and over what i said. Where to start? The music is way too loud. It's like being in a night club trying to yell across the table to have a conversation. The food isn't good at all. My husband ordered a steak cooked to medium and got something more akin to shoe leather. I had the four cheese macaroni and chicken. The chicken was over cooked but edible, however the macaroni was basically cooked noodles with tiny bits of cheese sprinkled sparsely on the top. Even the hamburger my son had was dry and leathery. I spent way too much money for this craptastic meal. They took too long and charged us for an extra appetizer when they had to refire the steak. read more

While we normally love this restaurant Wednesday night service sucked. The staff was lethargic, and down right careless. No concern from management or bar staff either. Our food arrived cold and we canceled part of the order that just never arrived. Will be back but will have to give it some time. read more

Horrible experience, won't be going back. When we entered through a side door, several workers were standing around near the kitchen area doing nothing, and I had to ask just to be seated, in which we were told to go to the front. Two seaters were there, and one showed us to a table. The place was not busy at all,but service was incredibly slow. When we finally got our order, my chicken shrimp combo looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp or something because the chicken was like rubber and I had to send it back, which is not something I ever do....it really was awful. It took even longer to get my replacement, and by that time my family had finished their meals, so I just got mine to go. The waiter was nice, but even he looked frustrated. We were never offered drink refills. Anyway, with overpriced food cooked badly (even a steak we ordered was not cooked as asked), small portions, dirty utensils (two of our place settings had old food stuck on the forks!) and bad service in general, I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Went today to eat with my family. The only good thing about this dinning experience was our waitress she tried very hard to make it s pleasant experience. It took more than an hour to get our food and then it was wrong. The kitchen was so slow and sent out wrong dishes then had to wait longer for it to be made again. They were also out of 3 different items we wanted to order. Moms chicken strip meal looked like something you would get at a concession stand, very disappointed. We finally got our older parents to go out to eat and they were so disappointed. They charged us for the wrong sent back meal. The waitress was so flustered that she took money out of her tips to cover the meal. We took care of her it was not her fault. Very poor management. Diff entry will not be back. read more

I love, love the Bourbon Steak and Shrimp on the 2 for $25 menu!!! When me and a friend go there we always eat off the 2 for $25 menu and it's a lot of food and good choice's of food under the 2 for $25 menu!!!! And u even get an appetizer also!!! Always friendly service. The managers, "Jadar, Racheal, Misty, &Wendy" are always walking around checking on customers. They are completely dedicated to insuring the best experience possible. If your looking for fun and drinks, night time is best, but for quiet family meals, I would suggest day time. Waiter was very nice. We ordered spinach artichoke dip and ate all the chips but weren't asked for a refill for our dip - which we had plenty left. My chicken strip meal was less tasty than Whataburger or Dairy Queen. My mom and grandfather ordered baked potatoes but the waiter came back and told them baked potatoes would take about 30 minutes to wait on and that they could have mashed potatoes instead in order to have our meals come out faster. My grandmothers shrimp breading was tasteless. The cookie sundae was not what I was expecting. The cookie tasted like one out of a package and was cold, not hot or warm like I was hoping. Lastly, we heard about 3 employees and some other side conversations about Britney. The manager With blonde hair was picking up trash from the table behind us and said Britney was arguing and that she was going to write her up or something for insubordination. Please keep your drama in the kitchen in the kitchen. I would hope if you're a boss you would speak to that person personally rather than to other staff and in front of your customers. 3 stars .... because I used to love this place and I believe this experience tonight was out of the ordinary for Applebee's. My fiancé and I had our first date here and first kiss right outside so it's held a special place in our hearts. We visited tonight as a family and weren't not satisfied at all. However, I do believe it was only the particular server we had that night, "Ira." We had a question about the menu when we first got to the table and we got a rude response. When taking our drink orders he leaned up against the wall like he was tired and didn't want to be there. He took our drink orders and brought everything but one thing we ordered from the bar which was fine, and then left..... 20 mins went by and he came back to his section 2 times but never stopped back at our table. Long story short, we walked out without even ordering a meal all we had on the table were two glasses of water and an unopened bottle of milk. However, the food is always good and the service is normally decent. We will be back for sure, but we will ask to be seated with a different server. I will definitely re-rate if we have a better experience next time. read more

Give short pours on beers by policy. Claim it is for the foam -even if no foam. Never seen this before. Most bars try to FILL the glass. They actually encourage foam to achieve policy. What a joke. read more

Me and my wife went to the applebees in longview texas on Saturday night July 24 ,2016. there were not busybut we had to wait 7 minutes to be seated, employees passed us by without greating at all, finally we got to sit at a very dirty table and dirty floor, we ordered out food, I had the stir fry shrimp, the shrimp was still cold and under cooked, I woke up 9 hours after eating to a very bad stomach pain , the doctor said I have a food poisoning from the shrimp and its going to take few days for me to feel ok.
