We came here for half off of appetizers. HALF OFF APPETIZERS DID NOT MEAN HALF OFF APPETIZERS. We sat down after 10 which was when the deal started and we ordered nachos chips and queso and the trio, which were all appetizers. We were under the impression it was HALF OFF. The waiter did not let us know these appetizers were not HALF OFF. When the check came out. She told us these weren't half off. She instead told us it was on the back of a drink menu. I was returning from Jersey to my new home in Delaware via the Cape May car ferry, when I stopped off at the nearby Costco. We were hungry prior to boarding our 6 pm Cape May car ferry to Delaware. We opted to stop here for a late lunch or early dinner. We were seated at a nice booth to the right in the bar area. I started with my perfect margarita for $11. I also enjoyed my medium rare mushroom swiss burger with fries for $15.99. We were here during happy hour. I also enjoyed my draft Guinness for $4. My total bill was $82 less gratuity. My Wife received a coupon code to encourage us to be customers. She called and was told that pickup was not an option and that use of the coupon could only happen with a personal appearance. Well, hearing this and knowing my wife was a member of some sort of Applebees club, has encouraged us to never deal with Applebees again. Why wouldn't we now become customers of the Element???? Our waiter was extremely rude. When we asked about a drink that was supposed to come with a shaker for multiple pours, he insisted it didn't. Even though the menu clearly mentions it and the table behind us literally had 3 shakers on their table. After he begrudgingly brought the shaker, he made it a point to loudly complain about us to the bartender at the bar that was 2 feet from our table. It was embarrassing and made us all feel uncomfortable for the rest of our meal. And to top it off, when we got home and checked our account, we were both double charged on our bill the next day, double tip. We couldn't believe it. Our order was delivered fine, food was under par for this franchise, Ribs weren't good, steak Anju sub was very spicey & fries tasted old. My guest ordered pasta which wasn't up to the standard of In dining meal, no sauce & just didn't taste good. Don't ever order steak here! I asked for the 8 oz. sirloin medium rare- more towards the rare. It eventually arrived and was so tiny it not only couldn't have weighed 8oz. I'm sure it never weighed 6 oz. either. I cut into it and it was way over done. The refire took forever to come. The rest of my party was half done eating. My steak was now medium- well at the edge and raw in the center! The server was apologetic. It wasn't her fault. The runner who delivered the refire to the table asked if anyone wanted anything. Went for a quick dinner around 5:15pm on a Saturday, party of 3. The restaurant was about 1/2 full. The hostess seemed a bit slow. We were sat after a bit of confusion as to what table we were going to. Our server, I can't recall his name was very good. Younger guy with dark hair. Came over to our table quickly to take our drink order, took our food order and checked back with us after our food was delivered. We ordered burgers and a chicken dish. Everything was really good! In fact, I commented to my wife that my burger looked so good it looked like it should be in a commercial. The burgers were cooked perfectly as ordered. My wife's chicken was also very good. The food came out quickly and our server was very good! We had a pleasant dinner. Will return again when we are in the area. read more

Sat at the bar, was greeted before I put my arms on the bar , good beer selection . We each got the whiskey bacon burger which came with an order of boneless wings for a $1; served quick & hot. Great size & flavor on all, my main reason for this review is the promotion between Applebees & Sam adams;/ "Buy a Vet a beer" , on veterans day 10/11; if u buy a Vet a beer your name goes on a card and the card on the wall , when a vet comes in on that day he picks one from wall & the beer is on you. We cant do enough for those who put themselves on the lines so we could sit back in safety. The most disgusting Applebee's on planet earth. They actually have a nice outdoor patio but they decide to close it when it's convenient to them, 9pm on a Saturday night (3hrs before closing) and don't tell their customers over the phone that it's closed. They didn't want to sit anyone there because they didn't have enough servers, yet they had 2 total tables inside with 6 servers just lounging around. The hostess was extremely nasty and the manager was an even nastier doofus who's in charge of these genius decisions. I didn't even get to the food yet--it's often always wrong from the order, and is extremely sub par compared to other locations. We only tried to come the other night because not much is open in the area past 8pm, and being turned away by this doofus was the last straw. Never ordering or going to this location again. Extremely rude staff and bad food, only thing I'm looking forward to from this location is what it becomes after it eventually closes (quickly if doofus manager makes the business decisions). read more

To be honest I was actually surprised to see an Applebee's. Have not been to one in years. Was not sure if the franchise was even still out there. Well let me tell you about this one. Service was beyond great. Our waitress was so nice and so accommodating to us even though we showed up about 10 PM. It was nice to settle down with me a pint of Guinness and my wife a nice glass of wine. The food was great and the place was hopping. Ordered dinner for my family online and the process was fairly simple. We put a phone number down to receive text messages for a pick-up time for the curb side pick-up we were doing. It said our order would be ready at 5:50pm and we had placed the order at 5:25pm so that wasn't too bad. The restaurant was about 10 minutes from our house so we drove over. During the ordering process it said to park in a curb side pick-up spot in the parking lot unless there isn't one, than you are free to park in an open spot. When we pulled up to the lot the TWO (only 2) spots with signs that said curb side pick-up were filled. Since the two spots were taken we parked directly behind them, thinking "oh we are just right behind so this is fine." In the text message I received from Applebee's it said "once you arrive click (this link) or reply "here." Upon arriving I texted "here" and within a minute got a text that said "your order will be brought to you shortly." Keep in mind this was at 5:50pm. So now we are waiting for our food and its been 5 minutes, than 10 minutes. We are watching other people pull up, get food and leave all before us. We decided after this certain car drove up way after us and got there food within 2 minutes, we would move our car. So we saw one of the only two spots open and pulled in. Watched the guy speak very nice to the other car and deliver their food. We assumed he saw us and would deliver our food to us. We sat in this spot now for a few more minutes and still no service. I saw a number on the sign in front of our spot. After going through this computer operated section of the call I finally got a person. He was INCREDIBLY rude. I told him I had been sitting in the parking lot for 15-20 minutes now and still haven't gotten any food while others have came and went. He continuously cut me off and wouldn't let me finish my sentence. Finally he hung up and said I'll be out in a minute. He brings us our food and the first thing he says was that "he has cameras and sees everything. you guys just pulled up." Regardless you should've noticed us pull up while you were having a casual conversation with the car next to us. You also should've noticed that there are only TWO spots and we were here for a while, even after texting back saying we were there. He was extremely rude to us. If you only want people to park in those two spots than don't advertise that you can park elsewhere and still get service. I understand it is a pandemic right now and times are tough but maybe take that into consideration as well. Maybe don't be offer take-out service if you can't provide the space for parking and efficient use of time. Not only that but now we have cold food. We don't live far so we're expecting it to be decently warm when we get home. We got 4 different meals and 2 appetizers and everything was cold. Extremely disappointing. I have never in my life encountered a more racists and rude staff in my life. Everytime I am in the store they refuse to speak to me when i pick up deliveries. I feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The other Applebees in the area always are so nice and welcoming not this store. I ordered the stackhouse chicken. It was absolutely burnt and to make matters worse the plate was so hot it continued to burn.
