9/15/25: We met up with a friend for lunch. Doyle's Pour House is a casual place to meet up with friends for a few beers. Place was crowded for a Monday afternoon. There's an indoor and a large outside dining area. We ordered burgers, a crab cake sandwich and a Turkey BLT. Food was passable. Service was attentive. Place has a cool pinball machine. It all starts with the food. "Irish Nachos". Potato pancakes with cheddar and bacon. They should be shredded potatoes. Right? Not flattened tater tots. Crispy Chicken Salad??? A salad with chicken.....not chicken over lettuce. It was a Honeymooners Salad. Lettuce alone. Pierogis were good as was the French Onion. Hot and flavorful. Server Mike(Michael) was good. Doyle is always a win! I would class it as American bistro/bar food. Usually crowed during happy hour. The food is great! Wings are a must and ask for "back on the grill." Nachos and Perogies also great for happy hour appetizers. Service varies but usually acceptable and they are quick with drinks. read more

What happened?!? This used to be a really good watering hole with a decent kitchen. Their signature dish was the Shepard's Pie. My wife ordered it last weekend and got a plate full of mashed potato's. We typically don't complain, but we should have this time. We will come back, but won't order that again. Great variety for a traditional Irish pub menu and I haven't ordered anything yet that I wouldn't recommend to friends and family. They treat you nice from the door and the customer service doesn't stop there. Fish n Chips and shepherds pie were big sized portions and the draft beer has always tested fresh. Order the soccer wings with a black n blue (snake bite) half Guinness half blue moon. They throw the wings back on the grill with that captain Morgan garlic sauce. Amazing. I give credit to every restaurant in this area for putting their own unique spin on wings. No two places does it the same and they take pride in that. If you live in Barnegat and are coming here for food you need to check your tastebuds or maybe you just have disposable income. They are over priced in all aspects of business for what they are and Lefty's just right down Rt.9 is a whole different caliber of food and it's cheaper lol. the drinks are cheaper also. Doyle's has become a perfect example of exploitation with one of the owners taking ownership of 2 of the 3 liquor stores in town which is why you cannot purchase packaged goods after hours any more, plus you go to Joe Canal's and it is 2-6$ more for anything you buy from another liquor store, even Myers, which he also owns. Save small business and buy from spirits for packaged goods and if you truly enjoy food for the quality and rotating options and specials, go to Lefty's and enjoy the crowd and environment read more

This is the last time I order from here. Same thing happened last time. I ordered wings and fries to go. I was there in 10m flat. Everything was cold and the wings were dried out inside and cold. The sweet potato fries looked like they had come off someone's left over plate -cold, soggy, and there were pieces of fried onion mixed in. Gross! Great place to eat with family, or hang out at the bar with some friends. Food was amazing especially the wings after they get tossed in the sauce and you can ask for them to be thrown on the grill for that perfect char or how ever you like. Beers are not only ice cold but you get a perfect frozen glass every time you get served a new one. My favorite part is the fast service you never have to flag the waiters or bartender for a your next drink. We also enjoyed some onion rings and an amazing Rueben sandwich. read more

I have been at what I call Doyle's north many times. The reason is it blows the Tuckerton one away in service and food. Recently we were here and had Nancy as our server. Talk about great sense of humor and super efficient. She takes the time to chat with her tables all while providing fast accurate service. My boys are on a wing tour around the area and Doyle's came highly recommended. We got Buffalo, old bay and captain Morgan...back on the grill. All fantastic, but I have to say the old bay were the best. My tuna Caesar salad was awesome as well. The only thing we didn't love was the pour house special burger. The mozzarella cheese was a bit cloying, making it tough to eat. Add some sharp cheddar or blue cheese and it's a winner. The food has never been iffy or "kitchen is having a bad night". More than satisfied every time. Bartenders pour fairly.
