My boyfriend and I decided to go to this Applebee's location on Saturday night for half apps. We arrived at about 10:15pm and were seated immediately. The restaurant was busy, with there being two giant tables full of teenagers taking up half the restaurant, but it was a Saturday night so we figured it would be a little crowded anyway. An employee came to our table to take our drink order and offered us menus but we had already used the qr code on the table to decide what we wanted; we ordered two appetizers as well as two drinks. (Mind you the woman who took our order said she was not our server and that we'd see her soon) Finally our server brought our drinks and said she had put in our food order. The food came out fairly quickly which was nice, but we hardly saw the waitress after that. By the time we had finished both our drinks and one appetizer she finally came to check up on us; we ordered 2 more (alcoholic) drinks and another appetizer, along with some forks because she had never brought any silverware. She came back with the forks, and then for the next 20 minutes we saw our drinks sitting at the bar waiting for her to come pick them up. She finally brought us said drinks and that was it. We figured it was busy, maybe the other food we ordered was on the way, maybe the kitchen was backed up. Nope! She came back in another 20-30 min to tell us that the kitchen would be closing in about 10-15 minutes if we wanted to order anything else. We told her no, and proceeded to pay for the bill via the qr code on the table. Turns out she never even rang in our other food we had ordered. On top of that, about 10 min after she told us the kitchen would be closing, the table next to us decided to order dessert and she said sure! She had checked up on them at least 3 times the amount she had checked up on us during our meal. I understand that restaurants all over are understaffed and that servers are being overworked, but it is unacceptable for us to have seen our server a total of maybe 3 times in the 2 hours we were there. We will not be returning to this location. read more

Staff in here were very nice! We had pleasant experience here - we ordered the unlimited tenders and riblet meal which was a great deal. Our waiter was very friendly and attendant. The main reason why I am giving 5 stars is for excellent customer service. There was a table close to us (which looked like a group of disabled teenagers who was accompanied by their mentors/staff) There was no issue except when one of the kids had a breakdown and was being aggressive, throwing things around and yelling etc. I understand things like this happen all the time (my boyfriend used to work in a group home with troubled/disabled teens) however it was very uncomfortable to enjoy our meals. The manager on duty not sure her name came over to apologize for the inconvenience and offered us $10 off coupon for our meal which I did not expect they would do. You can really tell they care about their customers at the location and will def come back! read more

I have to say Applebee was my favorite restaurant nearby......maybe the chef not in a good mood....The woton shrimp is bad, wired combination, flavorless with steamed veggies. Steak was tooooo old(totally burned )to bite , even to cut. But good thing is , the appetizer were as good as usual. And service was really slow. read more

This was not a good visit. After waiting for 15 minutes we we escorted to a table...and deserted. More than 10 minutes later I found the hostess who had seated us and told her we were sans a server. Finally we were connected to a new server who did not understand the restaurant's rules or so we were told by manager, Robin. Eventually I received 2 for $20 Riblet plate which was composed of 2 tiny riblets and some hastily tossed fries. I guess they never studied "plating." Like i said, not a good visit. read more

I do not frequent chain restaurants and I'm giving this mediocre meal 5 stars because of the service. The service was excellent, our server was Hailey and had the greatest energy and perky disposition any restaurant would strive to have on their staff. Ok there is quite a few amount of things I would like to mention about this specific Applebee's location. First off when I walked in I was greeted by a neat appearance hostess. However behind her when we walked in was a slouched woman with nappy dreads. I mean she was very unacceptable looking for someone that worked in a restaurant environment. So that is taking away 1 star as I feel that if you work in a food area and deal with food you should look like hygiene is a big part of your life, since you are handling someones food. Next server here was EXTREMELY slow on bringing out the appetizers and lemme tell you that the chicken wonton tacos shouldnt have been as spicy as they were. They were VERY VERY spicy, almost like the siracha shrimp. Why? Then I was interrupted several times when it was time to pay the check. Why were you so slow on bringing the good out, yet when it was time to get paid you were rushing the hell out of me? This is just unacceptable on so many accounts I can tell you I will never ever visit this place again. I guess ill keep one star just because the chicken and shrimp (ALTHOUGH very overseasoned) was hot. read more

I've been to this Applebee's plenty of times in my life. Most of the time I have pretty good service. There has been the occasion where there was awful service. Hey it happens. Tonight was a night of great service. Bobbie O. was our waitress. She was on top of everything. There was only one issue which wasn't that big of a deal. We had to wait to get seated but after that everything was great. We definitely enjoy the half price appetizers. My favorite thing to get is the chicken quesadilla and the brew pub pretzels with cheese. They are so good!!!! read more

I hate you Crapplebee's. It's the worst chain restaurant and I find myself here tooo often. My girlfriend and friends always make a late night case of cheap pints and half priced apps. but I think I'm gonna stop suckering in to it. The only thing on the menu worth ordering is the wonton tacos at half price BUT they got rid of the pork ones! Only chicken....lame. If I paid the $7 asking price anytime before 10pm I would not be in the slightest satisfied. My girlfriend likes the Veg burger but I always tell her I'd rather go ANYWHERE ELSE. Writing this review is getting me upset about the amount of times I've been stuck in Crapple's waiting to leave.. They used to show the UFC fights WITH cheap beer and half price apps but even that couldn't fill the place up so they stopped. During Football season I got talked into going here for cheap wings and they were the worst wings I've ever had.......ok maybe tied with The Grove. The wings came out cold and dry. I love Applebees but this location is garbagio (garbage in broken italian; pronounced gar-bah-ji-oh). We were in the half off zone when we went there (half-off apps after 10). They did not have quesadilla towers which are the go to half off app. They also alerteed me that they also ran out of the cheese for the brew pub pretzels so they gave us the queso dip instead (good but not the same and not something you want on your pretzels). On a more important note for the two stars the food here was just sub par tasting for an applebees. Service was meh you can always tell when you dont get a water refill while youre there. Bottom line is if you're going for half off apps they should have all the items there in stock. we know theyre all frozen items tat are stuck in a cooker anyway whats so hard about keeping inventory? read more

This is the worst place ever. The place was slow and it still took 45 minutes to get drinks. The waiter forgot to put in 2 full meals and when they arrived the rest of the party was done eating. We asked for a full itemized bill the hostess upfront was very rude and couldn't initially provide it. To top it off the manager on duty had a worse attitude then the hostess. read more

Don't waste your time here. Point blank. The food was bland and they didn't even give forks until we asked for them.

Avoid this place on the weekends after 10pm . It fills up with immature college/high school kids. Looks like they have made some changes to their menu. The Beer pretzels and Beer cheese are amazing. It's an Applebee's. I feel like you know what you're getting into when you decide you're going to Applebee's. The only interesting thing about this specific Applebee's is the amount of unattended children you see running around the bar area. At least when I went, it seems like most of the families were seated in the bar area (and the restaurant wasn't really all that packed) and the children were just running around with no one watching them. I've only been there once, so it might not be a common occurrence. I just feel like if a family of 6 comes in - you should try to sit them away from the people who are drinking. read more

I went here on the whim after an invite from a friend. I dislike most chain restaurants, so my review might be a bit biased. Even on a weekday, this location is fairly crowded. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table for 3 people. It wasn't really a big deal, just to give you a heads up. I don't think they take reservations, as there was a party of 18 waiting for 45 minutes. I think that the main reason why people frequent this chain is for the half off menu. We ordered off the 2 for $20 menu. It was plenty to split between three people, as portions are huge. The boneless wings are great for appetizer, variety of sauces. We got them in honey bbq sauce. Out of the entrees, I got the fiesta lime chicken. It was basically chicken covered in melted cheddar cheese with tortilla bits, salsa sauce, and spiced rice. Oriental chicken salad included crisp chicken chunks in a iceberg lettuce-like salad covered in way too much creamy dressing. Service was decent. Actually, the waitress was fairly quick to serve. Portions were big, so that we never got to desert. All in all, I didn't like the food at all. It is not a place I would want to come back to eat again. But it serves its purpose for those seeking cheap eats. read more

Applebee's is a great place to go after 10 pm. Half off appetizers every day (minus their sampler dish). Their food isn't bad, and at half off, there's really no place better to go. I can't really tell you about anything else there because I've only eaten here after 10 pm and I've only gotten their appetizers and desserts. Service is okay. I wish the waitress is around a little bit more to fill up my water. This is a recurring thing I've noticed. Food is pretty good. I've had their potato twisters (which I mistakenly thought were potato skins), nachos, chicken quesadillas, traditional wings, spinach and artichoke dip, mozzarella sticks and their queso dip. I'm pretty sure I just read you the entire menu. Not a big fan of the potato twisters; they're really just twisted potato chips, but the queso dip that came with it was really good. Spin dip, nachos and chicken quesadillas are my favorite dishes. As for dessert (yes it needed a separate paragraph), my absolute favorite is the Cookie Sundae. It costs $6.50, where I am at least, and it is DELICIOUS. It is this gigantic warm cookie with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream on the bottom with chocolate drizzled on top. The cookie is so soft and warm and pairs nicely with the ice cream. My second favorite is definitely the chocolate lava cake. You can't beat a chocolate filled brownie that just oozes chocolate when you break its' center. Yummmmmmm. That is also served with vanilla ice cream. Overall, good place to hang out with friends after 10 pm and to grab a cheap bite to eat or if you're in the mood for a delicious cookie sundae. read more

Never a bad experience! Prices are great in general and then they have deals [2/$20, after 10pm 1/2 price appetizers, Ladies Night... etc]. White peach sangria is the best I've ever had. Food always tastes fresh. The staff I have dealt with are all pleasant and willing to help. Managers are great. Never gone when it was PACKED, but definitely always seems busy. TVs all over, awesome wallpaper dedicated to many local schools. Overall a great atmosphere and I'll be coming back to this location every few months. Note to customers: Prices are cheap, TIP YOUR WAITERS AND WAITRESSES APPROPRIATELY! If you're a regular, and you don't tip, I wouldn't blame them for treating you poorly. They get paid about $3 an hour, survive on tips, and work long hours. Stop being cheap and give them what they deserve. If you can't afford to eat and tip, order something to-go or make your meals at home if you're struggling so bad. I hope they eventually get to put 18% gratuity on all their checks (no matter the party size) so the staff gets what they deserve! read more

Came here at 10 pm on New Year's Day. I will never return. The server kept going around to the other tables before coming to ours. After a few bites of the boneless wings, my friend had bad food poisoning and threw up. The service was terrible and the host had a rude demeanor. I don't know what has happened to Applebee's ... food used to be very good. Found a coupon yesterday and decided to give it another try. I used Carside To Go and everything went smoothly with that. The food however is just horrible. Got a cheeseburger and fries. Only ate half the burger and ate none of the fries. I don't know what they fry the fries in, but they have a weird taste to them. Plus, their prices do not reflect the quality of the food - way too high! I can get a better burger and fries and McDonald's for a fraction of the cost. From now on, I'll stick to T.G.I. Friday's. Stop into the Applebees in Milltown today, and order 2 soups and a sampler platter for both of us. The platter had 2 kinds of shrimp, mashed potatoes, broccoli, small steak, onion rings, coleslaw.
