I stumbled back across this hidden gem last week. My mother just moved down the road and I have been here several times YEARS ago but decided to call due to a place up the block being way to long of a wait. Pizza used to be hard to mess up but the completion grew and only the strong get a 5 star rating. This pizza was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The crust blistered with back burnt marks marbled through out which makes it that much better. Thin crust and they DONT skimp in the cheese!! I will definitely be back. Went to Ciro's Pizza in Colonia and will never go again. They took absolutely no precautions to prevent COVID 19 as far as the pick up is concerned. I went there to pick up a pizza and salad, which was called in. A woman came to the car with no PPE at all, which showed no respect to their customers! She handed the pizza box and bag with the salad, with no mask or gloves! I asked for a soda and utensils. She came back and handed me the soda and UNRAPPED utensils with her un-gloved hands! I would give zero stars if I could. Ordered on line. A Sicilian pizza at 5:35. On line said delivery in 45 minutes. Text message said it would be delivered no later than 6:35. Ok. No problem. Called at 6:55 inquiring about delivery. Was told at least another hour. Or 20 minutes if I wanted to pick it up. What????? Man in the phone was nasty. Terrible customer relations. I ordered delivery today and I have to say they came within the time they gave me which was about 30-45 mins. I had a margherita pizza with some wings. Everything was delicious. The crust was the right mix between crispy and bread. The sauce was flavorful and overall I was happy I made this choice. The wings were also just right, crispy and cooked properly, they weren't super spicy and the quantity was decent. I will order from them again happily. Walked in on Saturday night and there were about 6 different specialty slices to pick from, so not the biggest selection. I went with sausage pepper and onion slice and a buffalo chicken slice. Buffalo was nice and spicy, but no blue cheese. The other slice was almost buttery, with very melty cheese. Really very good, which was nice because the slice looked old in the display, but tasted great. The crust here is thin and crispy, not really my favorite, but right out of the oven it held itself straight. Overall, not bad at all. read more

Not even worth one star. The first time I ordered they told me I was too far for delivery. I am 2 miles away. After giving them a second chance, they take over an hour for my delivery (that I never received). I call to see where the drive is and he responds asking for my address...I say should I cancel? Awful customer service and pizza was cold when we got home. Cheese is too oily, the sauce is generic, and it just tastes really cheap.

The pizza was mediocre, very greasy, and lukewarm upon delivery. Better than Dominos or Papa John's but not much. Very disappointing!

I found it funny that this place was in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. It was your standard pizza joint. Very bare bones place, didn't seem to be air conditioning. Clientele is suburban Italian, and proprietor is too. The slice didn't taste very different from the dozens of other standard places in Central Jersey. White flour crust, pizza sauce, industrial cheese, gas-fired oven. I liked the Grandma's slice a little better. Thinner crust, marinara sauce instead of the industrial pizza sauce. read more

I was actually pleasantly surprised with my lunch experience. I patronized this restaurant a while ago and said I wouldn't go back. A friend convinced me to give it another try and I felt the service and food were good. My complaints would be they are over priced and they charge 4% to use your credit card.
