I forgot my homemade lunch today and remembered that I had an Applebee's gift card in my wallet from a while ago. I checked the balance, then ordered - woo hoo, and only 3 minutes from my job! It was very easy to order on their website, and my order was bagged up and happily brought to me (props to Stephanie D.). My bowl was exactly how I ordered it with absolutely perfectly cooked rare steak (and no salsa) - yum!!! The portion size was filling and it was overall fresh. I'm salt sensitive and I detected a bit too much, but it definitely didn't ruin my meal. A nice spot adjacent to the hotel where we were staying. I typically never go to an Applebee's...but after a long day's drive it was convenient. The server was prompt and very friendly. On 19 Aug 2023, Mu sisters and I bonded over lunch. We started with a loaded nacho appetizer. For our main meals we ordered the bottomless boneless chicken wings and fries, three cheese penne with honey chicken strips, and the chicken quesadilla salad. I had the salad. All of the portions were plentiful and tasty. I had their whiskey sour specialty drink-I highly recommend it!! I had filled up on nachos,, so I took my salad home and had it for lunch the next day. Upon walking thur the front door I was kindly greeted by an attentive host named Josh! Very important job that this young fellow has because he is the front and foremost represention of the restaurant! I was kindly asked if I was dining in or picking up. Upon my response he let me choose my seat of choice! Thank you! I waited a few minutes and I got up an asked the bartender IF I could order and she said absolutely and submitted my order. Shortly after I was greeted by my waitress. She was observant and attentive. She quickly brought my appetizer and drink. I order my dinner and asked for it a certain way and thats EXACTLY how it was served to me! Food was delicious and a nice hot temperature as thats how I like my food. I had mentioned to my server ALL the condiments that I needed and she remembered each and every one! She even looked over from a distance and gave me a thumbs up and I shook my head as I was actually was on my phone during my entire meal ( and I do detest that as being a long time server myself) How could I do what I hate that customers do?? Reguardless Madison S. was on her toes when asking if I was ready for my check, I had told her the different take out lids and containers that I needed and she Always brought EXACTLY what I had asked for! Despite the dinner rush, the male host (I apologize I can't remember your name) was so accommodating and prompt. Our server was also professional and efficient. We ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp entree as well as the Chicken Quesadilla Salad and both came out very hot and delicious! Our drinks were on point. Could not believe my 9 year old daughters milkshake has a bandaid in it. Restaurant did not seem to care denied me a corporate number. Returned to Restaurant to get number manager stated oh somebody already called you they got no answer and that was it. Food was the same. But service was bad. Server never came back to give us a refill on drinks. She really was an awful server. The waitress didn't even give us a chance to ask for napkins. She ignored our table as she was serving the ones around us. I noticed other tables around me weren't aloud to have refills either. 3 dollars for a drink and refusing refills. I goto this location at least once a month and I've never had a bad experience. The service, food and drinks are always good. I can tell that they have good service and management because both the servers and managers check to make sure the customer is okay. I've even noticed that they work as a team helping to run food and drinks as well as clearing off empty glasses and plates. Overall, the restaurant is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. If i could give this zero stars i would. My waitress, destiny, was incredibly rude from the start. We asked for the booth and she didn't even look at the seating chart and just said no immediately when a snarky attitude. I would understand if it was a busy night but no one was there. Really BAD lunch for 4 people. Booth was dirty; I had to knock used paper napkins off the bench and there was food stuck in the crack of the booth seat; should have left then!!! Menu had been downsized. Food was unattractively plated, and tasted terrible. We had the chicken wrap and the roast beef au jus; and the multi appetizer (which was the best of the three). We didn't complain because the server was very nice and not her fault. Food so salty that we all burped rest of day, and so thirsty! This was never a go-to gourmet experience, but for bar food it was always good; with great lunch options. So few diners today that it will likely go out of business soon. Went in, and was told the last seating was at 10:30pm, despite tables eating dinner, and many people at the bar. One star because they need to do themselves a favor and get that blonde hostess OUT OF THERE and cleaning the bathrooms. I came in Applebee's with my service dog ( who wasn't even walking, he was in a stroller) and without saying hello or anything of that short she says in a loud tone and with the most distasteful attitude " NO DOGS" and I proceed to be nice and show her that my dog is a service dog. THIS WOMEN PUT HER HAND IN MY FACE AND PROCEEDS TO SAY " I don't need that" While breathing trying to hold myself from uppercutting her, she THEN tells me that I have to wait outside when it is 40 degrees out when everyone else can wait inside. Manager did nothing but take her out of the front while we walked to our table for the hostess' safety. I will never. Ever. The broccoli was severely overcooked to the point that it was olive green and I literally spit it out. No seasoning either. The mashed potatoes that I got also had no seasoning. I had a very mediocre experience. Firstly, as soon as my plate came out my mashed potatoes were cold. I was never asked how I wanted my steak cooked. It was well done. Steak tasted OK... Service was OK... But for the money I paid OK is pretty unacceptable. They tried there best to accommodate and make sure i got what I wanted I will give them that. When I spoke to the manager which clearly that title is a joke she stated we just don't have any and no she didn't notify anyone that she is out. I requested to stop by tomorrow and pick up my drink since trying to refund it was going to be a pain and for my time can you throw in an appetizer which her response was that's not how we do things and I work with other managers so no.
