My wife and I decided to have a quick bite to eat here before shopping. We were mistaken. It wasn't quick. We ordered an appetizer, and the waitress stopped to apologize for how long it was taking. We were wondering first if our food had gone elsewhere, the entrees would come out first, or if we had been forgotten. Eventually, the food came out. Everything was fine, but nothing wowed us. Overall the food was average. The waitress did say it was chaos. Then, when my drink was running low and she hadn't checked on us the entire meal (though I could see she was busy with other tables, so I get it) she suddenly spun around from the bar with a refill... though it had paper with printing on it in the drink. Once I got her attention, she happily replaced it, mentioning that that was the third one she made because stuff kept falling in. For dessert we got a blonde. I was really much closer to a bread pudding than a blonde. My wife loves bread pudding, so it wasn't a loss, bit I haven't had a good blonde for a while. We went for lunch . The food was delicious and hot. Brianna M was our great server . The host was quick to seat us and very nice.

We had a server who I believe was named Ethan, he didn't introduce himself but he was busy the entire time talking to his girlfriend at the end of the bar and a few waitresses that were hanging around as well. We waited 5 minutes to be initially served and were not checked on a single time after getting our drinks and food order in. The DonJulio pool bucket drinks were WAYYY too sweet, like drinking blue curcao straight from the bottle (and I love a sweet drink) but these were terrible. The pickle fries we got tasted like a straight up vat of oil being dumped in your mouth. Super greasy and fried with a string of pickle inside. The ratio was way off. We were not offered water, napkins, or plates to share the appetizer with. 0/10 atmosphere, service, and food/drink. this is why i never go to applebees. read more

This Applebees is pretty good for the most part. The food and is consistently good. The wait staff are friendly. Out of a dozen or so visits only one visit sucked do to crappy service and a sticky table. The lighting is really bad and you might have to get up and sit at a different table that has brighter lighting in order to be able to read the menu. Overall I like this place. read more

We came back after taking Applebees out of our dinner selection due to poor experiences in the past. We decided to go back and try again... we had the one awesome server name Kekoa who we highly recommend. The food is good but they have a fairly new kitchen staff and the ticket numbers were very high. Even though it took forever our server was constantly checking in. The manager even came over and apologized. A lot of tables had high wait times for food but it appeared that servers were on it with communication. Just bad overall. Last time I went, I got the pretzel breadsticks appetizer. It didn't taste bad - nothing special, but it took like 25 minutes to come out and it wasn't even particularly busy. I was vexed. For the entree I got the four cheese mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken tenders and the pasta tasted like actual cardboard. The tenders were fine I guess but they don't give you enough to redeem the flavorless pasta. The establishment has a jukebox which we paid via an app to use, but it was so quiet we could barely hear the music. Applebees is Applebees but we particularly like this location. The service has always been good to us. The food is on the cheaper side, but the mozzarella sticks and pretzel appetizers are quite good. The after 10:00 pm half priced apps are a great deal. Today I was delighted to be able to go to the good old apple bees for a bite. A busy Saturday night some may say a restaurant like this would have a long wait, but to my surprise we were seated practically instantly! Today we felt like waters but if you are feeling spicy shoot for the popin shirly temple. I had a plate of chicken tenders. I know in the photo they look flat but the crunch was pretty nice! I wasn't feeling a dessert today. I love the boneless wings no mess and they are bite sized. They weren't stingy with the sauce either. It was spicy with a good kick of buffalo. Pro tip get the garlic and the buffalo sauce it gives you a good mix of both worlds. To rap this up I would say definitely try this out and bring a friend or two for a thrilling experience. read more

Enjoyed my half rack of baby back ribs last night. Our food was good as was the Service. Wine and other drinks were two for one. The only thing I wish was different, their large salads all looked great but all of the salads at Applebee's have chicken on them. I was told they could leave it off, but it would be the same price. I didn't know if I could substitute other vegetables for the chicken but didn't want to custom order a salad. read more

What could I possibly say bad about this place!? Great service, full glass of water, free refills, salt, pepper, & ketchup, and most importantly I left with a smile. I asked my family did they enjoy. Walked in and sat at the (mostly) empty bar. It was not very crowded and the hostess seemed to have gone missing as there was a couple waiting to be seated before I arrived. I was alone. The bartender/server was pretty chipper and helped me with ordering a drink. That worked out great because I can be so indecisive with these simple things. The house Margarita was very good as promised. So far so good. The chicken quesadilla was good. I really enjoyed it. Cooked to perfection. The ambiance was mostly low key as the restaurant wasn't packed on a Sunday night, but it was ok for me. A new patron added himself to the bar group but seemed like he'd gotten his drinks in well elsewhere. We chatted a bit, and he wasn't obnoxious but clearly inebriated. I finished my plate and declined a free drink. I will definitely be back and hope my future visits are enjoyable and uneventful as this one. I do worry about the other ratings though that wasn't my experience. read more

Went yesterday to celebrate VETERANS Day with my brother who is also a Vet, my husband and daughter. Although I know the place was packed and we had to wait as we patiently did, that doesn't excuse the behavior of our server. Didn't get his name but he was this skinny, young tall, Hispanic looking with wavy hair, who was absolutely the worst waiter. We got a table that although it was in the same side as another's waiter section, we had bad luck getting him to serve us and being the only table on the side he wasn't supposed to attend. He was rude, tried to scold me just because he got mad because when our food got to us by the server we asked her for more water and our silverwares and she asked us who out waiter was and I told her that I didn't remember his name but all I know is that he was barely around checking on us as he was attending more the other side. So when he finally got to us, his rude response to not getting us more water or having silverwares ready was very condescending. All I know it bothered me how the people in my side who were all being attended by another server were constantly asked if they were ok, if they needed anything and they even had silverwares ready for them but we had to wait for ours because there were all dirty and didn't have none and were waiting to be washed. Then why serve us our food or were we supposed to eat with our hands? At the end I even had to ask him for our $5 cards that Veteran were offered on our day and he didn't even know about it and had to ask the manager, although the other server once his customers paid he automatically brought these cards to them and even explained why they were getting them and appreciated them for their service. We unfortunately were not lucky as our service sucked and that is exactly what I wrote in the receipt with $0 tip. Don't care, if we constantly have to get you to do your job and on top of that you are not polite then you get nothing from me. read more

HORRIBLE! Sat at the bar with only 3 other people who were already there when we arrived. Shortly afterwards other couples and parties arrived. The bartender was a server who was thrown in to cover. The Manager "Liz," came out to help and completely bypassed us and took everyone elses orders and eventually came over to us. Drinks and dinners were served to all that walked after us and we still didnt yave oir drinks or appetizers. We've come here many times and Vicki and other servers are amazing. I come to this Applebee's every birthday. I enjoy the atmosphere. The only issue that i have bene having is the water dripping from the ceiling when i come. Im not sure what is happening to cause this but i had water drip into my food and didn't get to finish my meal. read more

I go to this Applebee's all the time, and I love their little chicken wonton. And you go for their happy hour and you get them great prices plus drinks or two for one, so check out what the time is in your Applebee's but they're a whole meal for me. Amazing how two servers working side-by-side can be so different. One - Anne - was frankly just terrible. The other - Shea - was just marvelous. Happy Hour means 2-4-1 draft beer. Ordered a beer served by Anne. Little to no eye contact. And zero verbal communication. Since it was fairly busy, gave her a pass. But trying to ask Anne my second already paid for beer was impossible. Standing & looking right at Anne 5 feet away from her, yet feeling invisible for at least 5 minutes that seemed like an eternity made me feel she was intentionally ignoring me. And this after I had paid her for my first beer and left her a $3 tip on a $6.91 tab. Moved to another part of the bar & luckily we immediately encountered Shea. Lucky me is right. Shea was everything Anne was not: pleasant, smiling, talkative, professional, engaged. She quickly retrieved my 2nd beer; brought menu's for the 2 of us; explained the nightly specials; and dropped off napkins & silverware without being asked. During the 30 minutes we enjoyed our beers, Shea came back twice asking if we needed anything while chatting us up with a big smile - just like normal service people do every day. I would hire Shea tomorrow. Anne would be on unemployment tomorrow if she did not make an immediate and complete reversal of her sour disposition and terrible lack of any customer-centric service. Applebee's has some serious training opportunities regarding their employee Anne. Good luck with that. We have to believe we experienced firsthand poor Anne having the worst hour of her career at Applebee's. Nobody can be that bad & keep their job. read more

My sister and I arrived around 5:30 on a Sunday evening and got seated fast. It was not crowded. As the wine list is very limited, we decided to have a mai tai although it was not on the drink menu. We were accommodated and it was not bad. There are many choices on the food menu to choose from. We both selected the fried shrimp which came with cole slaw and french fries. Sis substituted onion rings for the cole slaw, no problem. The cole slaw was made with mayonnaise which is to our taste (vs sweet grated slaw with vinegar and sugar.) The servings were large, enough for doggy bag. Shrimp were crunchy, I'd say 31-35 size and came with tartar and cocktail sauce. French fries were hot and tasty. We were too full for dessert. Appleby's is a chain, affordable, good for families. Something for everyone. Service was good. Would return. read more

The interior looks like a cheap hotel restaurant on its dying breath, the lighting is something you'd find in a rundown mobile home in a questionable trailer park. The kitchen was slow and the service was not to blame for the slowness of tending tables. Our server, bless his heart, did his best - especially when he found out another server walked off the job and left him with those tables. I had the ribs and they were super dry and chewy. My dining companion had the chicken & broccoli fettuccini alfredo: the sauce was congealed as if it sat under the heat lamp for 20 minutes. I ordered a margarita with no salt and the glass came with heavy salt and very little tequila (if there was any at all, couldn't taste it). Basically, the atmosphere isn't there anymore and the food is now substandard, and there's no reason to go back. read more

We've been to this location before and every experience has been okay. The food is a hit-or-miss. During our last visit, we started out with some drinks. I ordered the Whiskey Peach sour. It was a small amount but I really like it. It was sweet and you can still taste the whiskey. Then, we had some chicken wings as appetizers, they were fantastic. My main entree was the Fiesta Lime Chicken. The rice tasted microwable, and the chicken was actually pretty good, it had a smoky taste to it. The service was so-so. My Auntie in law wanted to eat at Texas Roadhouse across the street and the wait was too long there, so she decided to eat at Applebees. 2 for 20 (25) is such a deal and we don't have that in Hawaii. So my husband and I did the course with mozzarella stick appetizer, half rib and chicken and shrimp. Auntie ordered a steak and happy hour margarita. All of our meal came out lukewarm. Mozzarella sticks were not melted inside. We had to ask for napkins and silverwares, and the chicken and shrimp were so salty. I haven't had a meal this bad in a while. Our server was nice but kind of slow. There were kids jumping up and down with parents doing nothing to stop them, and grouchy old couple complaining about everything.
