The food could have been better, and the service was so-so. From what I can tell, this place does not get much traffic despite being outside a military base and adjacent to a Wal-Mart. A friend said that she and her family did not have a positive experience at this location, and I should have listened, but due to the convenient location, I decided to give it a try for myself. I had salmon, broccoli, and garlic mashed potatoes. The salmon was the worst I had ever tasted. First, it seemed as if it had been frozen, not fresh and it was a bit overcooked or rubbery for my taste. The waitress should have asked me how I liked my salmon cooked. My expectations were too high. The broccoli also tasted like it had been frozen and had freezer burn. The mashed potatoes were ok. The waitress did not return after she brought my food out, other than to bring me the check. She never checked in and asked "How is everything," which is something that I am accustomed to. After she brought my food, the next thing she brought me was the check. She didn't even ask me if I wanted any dessert or needed anything else. I have been to Applebee's in other states and cities and have been pleased with my meals and service; however, this was gross. read more

This Applebee's has gone down hill for the last few years. The food can be anywhere from barely warm to cold by the time it is delivered to your table. Considering it is under new management, they either want to run it into the ground or don't care what impression they give. This is a restaurant located in a Military town and they don't even offer military discounts. I haven't seen a full house in years. They seem to forget any potential customer can spend their dollars else were. And most would rather go to a place that relish having them there supporting them. Radcliff Applebees is HORRIBLE. This is after we tried it 5 times. Yesterday the bartender (a brunette with glasses) brought me a beer while on her cellphone. I tried to ask a question and she gave me the signal with her pointer finger to hold on so she could finish her conversation. The food was mediocre as always. The fries were limp and lukewarm warm. Obviously microwaved in an attempt to heat them up. The tomato soup was the same way. The entire booth was sticky and wobbly. It was so sticky that nothing would slide on the table. The food was excellent. Our waiters Casey was excellent. He made sure everything was what we wanted. And he check on us several times. And the Ambiance was great. The lighting was so nice . Not over lighted , just perfect. Food was actually pretty decent. I ordered the chicken broccoli fettuccini Alfredo. Cooked well and tasted good. Service wasn't terrible either. Was sat almost immediately and was waited on promptly after. There was no alcohol being served at this location at the time I went which I was a little frustrated with. Not sure what was going on with that. The work environment was by far the most unprofessional I've ever seen in my life however. Throughout the entirety of the service staff members with fighting with one another, sitting down and taking breaks, eating food in the dining room, and yelling across the dining room. Maybe I'm being a stickler but from the moment I stepped inside I felt the vibe was off. Once again, food wasn't bad. I suppose it's up to you on whether or not you mind the ambiance and service. HELLA better than I remember! It's late, we've been flying all day, and there's no other recognizable restaurant close by. So...... applebee's it is. I wasn't expecting anything great, but the way my hunger was set up it would not have mattered. BUT wait........ this shrimp & chicken dish was DA BOMB!!!! The plate came sizzling hot and so was the food. Under that buttery soft chicken was sauteed mushrooms & onions. On my mashed potato I added cheese and bacon!!!!! BACON makes EVERYTHING better! Did I tell you already how moist & soft the chicken was. OMG! and the shrimp was seasoned & sauteed to perfection. This dish saved my life. So my husband and I love Applebee's and we've never had a problem with Applebee's until this one right off Wilson gate. The service was great, but we had to send back my plate three times. I'm not the one to do that, but my husband was like they gave you the wrong order then they come out with the wrong sides AND THEN it comes out with hair on the food. I've gone back since then because my friends and I enjoy Applebee's, but for some reason at this particular location I've had to send my drink back, my appetizers back or my friends have too! This is a great chain restaurant from the ones I've eaten at in various locations. I just wish I would not have to encounter a bad experience with Applebee's especially one so close to me because I really do enjoy them. read more

Came here on a Monday afternoon after a long trip away from the US and out of quarantine. Stopped by here, being the last place I ate prior to leaving the U.S. As usual the food was great. They had a special on the menu for either 2 entrees for $20, $25, or $30. My friend and I went for the $25 option. The deal also comes with either two salads or the option of a specific appetizer. The side choices came with two options. The server I believe was Alicia. She was very nice and observant. Made sure we got our drinks and food out on time. The place was semi busy and still got the drinks and food at a timely matter. Everyone was also very spaced out and following the Covid-19 protocols. Regardless what anyone says about this establishment, this place was quick, the food tasted amazing, and they have nice servers. read more

I just couldn't give them 5 stars because of them not delivering to my house!! But they do have carry out but that doesn't help me because I don't drive! My husband was already finished with his food by then. When I finally got her attention she wasn't very sorry at all took it back and 15-20 more mins went by. This was the worst service I have ever had. The host had an attitude, probably because he was having to bus tables since the servers did not appear to have that on their radar. Our server was indifferent, even went so far as to question my wife's choice of salad dressing (vinegar and oil). Then we got our salads, still did not have flatware. When we got flatware it was dirty. When I asked for a clean set it was as if I was asking for our meal to be comped. When our food finally arrived the server had failed to clear the salad plates out of the way and stood there like she wanted us to clear the table. The food was good, actually quite good, except for my wife's plate of Shrimp Fettuccine included whole kernel corn and other different types of pasta, and it was not hot, probably because our server let it sit on the counter too long. My steak was under cooked (I wanted it medium, it came medium rare), had it not been that I had not eaten yet today I would have sent it back. I now understand how a restaurant just outside the gate of a military installation on a Saturday night of a pay day weekend was not full to the gills.
