I went to Bubba's 33 to celebrate my aunt's birthday with a group of 13. Since they don't take reservations, I called a week ahead to figure out the best way to give them a heads-up. They told me to call again a couple of hours before arriving, which I did. I was on hold for about 15 minutes, and they let me know our 7:00 p.m. request wouldn't work due to another large party, but they offered 7:15 or 7:30. I chose 7:15 and arrived around 7:18. My group didn't fully arrive until about 7:45, so I was worried our tables might not be held. They'd told me on the phone that they don't have tables bigger than eight, so we'd be seated at back-to-back tables. In the end, it worked out really well. Sixteen people showed up, and once everyone was there, I texted "here" as instructed. We were seated within five minutes, which was impressive given how late people were. We had two servers for the group, but everything ran smoothly. I ordered chicken tenders with fire tots and mac & cheese--all tasted fresh. The fire tots weren't as spicy as I expected, but still good. Their $5 margaritas are a steal--flavorful, though not heavy on the alcohol. I also tried my cousin's hot wings, which were spicy but had a unique flavor--less vinegary than standard buffalo wings, and I loved that. Overall, Bubba's 33 feels like an upscale Applebee's--inviting, accommodating, and just really good. I'd only ever gotten takeout before, but dining in was such a positive experience. A pleasant atmosphere inside, with very clean restrooms. You can tell they really care about cleanliness, which is always a plus. The only downside was the music being too loud. It made it hard to talk with friends at the table, so turning the volume down slightly would improve the experience. Our server's service was average. She did her job, but wasn't very friendly or engaging. The food was excellent. The beer was ice cold, and the nachos were more than enough for six people to share. Only complaint was it is very loud and they had only booths and due to some limitations it was difficult for some in our party. Stopped in at Bubba's 33 in Fern Creek with my wife for a casual night out. I went with the Buffalo chicken sandwich, and it hit the spot--nice kick of heat and good flavor. Me and my wife come here often, and it definitely was crazy the first time we went when they just opened up. Now that the dust and excitement has settled it is still a great place to eat. The food is a good portion for what you pay for. Tonight I got the Bubba Smash Burger which had great flavor but it was definitely over sauced. They mainly only respond to good reviews.*** This was my original review on Google which for some reason cannot be found now... I've tried this location many times since it has been open. Mostly being invited by friends since it is convenient for everyone. Food for all isn't really the case though. Good luck if you are gluten free. There are very few options. If you need to modify any of your food at this particular location they are not very accommodating. Clarksville never has an issue with modifications. At this location it seems to almost upset the kitchen and managers if you do putting the person waiting on you in an awkward postion. It looks like they have a high turnover rate when it comes to management and employees as well. That is never a good sign! Every good waitress, bartender or manager my friends, spouse and I end up liking usually doesn't last long it seems. I always ask if so and so is there and more often than not get told they are "no longer with the company". It's usually upper management running the good people away which seems to be the case at this location based on who I never see anymore and who I still see around. I'll stick to driving 30 minutes out of my way to go to the clarksville location instead of this location after so many dissapointing visits and hoping it will be better next time. I'll just have to decline any further invitations to join friends at this location. Too bad too; I was excited when it first opened but it just keeps declining. **Maybe corporate should look into the customer and employee complaints and see if there are common complaints coming from both sides. Sprinkled with what I would say was one of their wings dry rub, I loved it but I was sweating when it was done (Good tea would have helped with this BTW) Overall, the steak was tender, with a good flavor. I could taste the rub on it. The sides were large and delicious. I will order a different drink next time and probably a different steak, as that is my go-to. This was the best food and service I have had anywhere in a long time. We didn't call ahead because I didn't know that was a thing until I got there. We waited an hour and 15 minutes. Which we didn't mind. We weren't in a hurry and the parking lot was packed with a jeep night. The person I was with was there to celebrate his Birthday. And our waiter Greg went and above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I can't say enough things about Greg. Always kept us updated on our food and drink orders, very friendly, and fast. This place is A-OK! I visited this spot with my family for lunch on a Friday around 1:00. It was pretty darn packed which I expected as the restaurant had just opened a few weeks before. The service was very slow and it took us a long time for us to get our drinks and food. Again, it was recently opened at the time so that was sort of understandable. I had the fried chicken sandwich, hot, with tots. The chicken was gigantic and was cooked very well. The buffalo hot wasn't really hot so I will definitely try the habanero flavor next time. The tots were really disappointing as they were really soggy. They crisped up nicely in the air fryer for dinner, though. For appetizers, we chose the mozzarella sticks, which were a bit underwhelming. I ordered the Chipotle Pasta with extra shrimp, and my husband went for the double smash burger with tater tots. My pasta was delicious and perfectly cooked, while he absolutely loved his burger and tots. We shared bites of each other's meals, and everything was perfect except for the mozzarella sticks. The texture and consistency of the Mac-n-cheese was perfect to my husband. The cheeseburger was juicy and the tots had the right ratio of crunchiness on the outside and softness on the inside. My Bacon-Guacamole burger was SO juicy that I couldn't touch it without the need to wipe the juices off my fingers after I took a bite. My side of broccoli was cooked in butter and sprinkled with garlic. It was delicious! Can you tell that I absolutely LOVE garlic? I can't say for sure that all 6 seat accommodations are high top tables but it appeared to be and it was not super comfortable. It was also very loud and was difficult to hear across the table. The space is huge and we didn't have to wait long for a table. Our server was super friendly with a great personality and extremely accomodating. She kept our drinks refreshed, brought go containers, checked on us and was honest with answers about menu items. My cousins ordered the meat queso dip for the table that was way too spicy hot for our taste. One cuz had the pepperoni pizza and said it was good. Two had burgers that were good but so sloppy that they were hard to hold without falling apart. We had chicken tenders with fries and a side salad. Salad was ok, nothing to write home about and only 4 dressings to choose from. The fries were served hot and were good and a huge portion. It was understandable with such a large crowd, and we made the choice to be seated sooner rather than more comfortably. Our appetizer and drink orders were taken and fulfilled promptly. We had spinach, dip, chips, and salsa, and queso dip at the table. All were hot, fresh and delicious. Their tortilla chips are thick and they had a nice taste to them. I ordered California chicken with no rice and a side of broccoli along with a side of slaw. My food was delicious, all of our orders were correct. Portions were nice. Everyone in our party said they enjoyed their meal, with one commenting on how fresh the salad tasted. Our server was great! Very friendly and efficient.
