I stopped in here this afternoon for lunch while I was in the area. I want to try it for a little bit. I got a single smash burger with fries, and I picked it up as a carryout order. I walked in was eventually greeted by the host and he gave me my food. I asked for ketchup and ranch to be included in the bag. Unfortunately, it was not in there. The burger itself was pretty tasty, but very salty for some reason I don't really know why it was so salty. The fries were very plain. Nothing to speak about. I didn't finish them overall. I'll give it a three. I'd go back and try something different though.

Great experience. First, charming place that is extremely clean. I had the salmon with veggies and sweet potato fries and the salad. Was excellent. The balsamic dressing was fantastic. This is a great meal. Loaded tots are perfect. Cheese and bbq. Best we have had. The GF bun and burger was also very good. Bottom-line, props to the manager and chef. Clearly a place that holds to high standards. We hope to go back today.

Sunday, 18 January 2026 Met friends at J.R. Neighbors for lunch. According to my friend, the have the best burgers in Etown! ‍ There are a few parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant (maybe 5, with 2-3 slots being reserved for handicap). There are nearby parking lots with plenty more parking. As it was a Sunday, we had no trouble finding parking. There were a few people ahead of us, maybe three different parties. My partner and I did not have to wait to be seated since the friends we were meeting had already arrived and got a table. We greeted our friends then reviewed the menu. Since it was around 12ish on a Sunday, only the brunch menu was available. Not long after, our waitress arrived to take drink orders. Shortly after that, and after the drinks arrived - pineapple mimosas, apple juice, and water, we ordered our food...mostly everyone had a burger. I had the Texan burger/sandwich which came on a Texas toast, hence the name, and my partner had the Newberry Smash burger (double). Each came with a choice of "regular" fries or tots. I wanted sweet potato fries, but again, since it was Sunday, only the brunch menu and what was displayed was available. So, I settled for regular fries. My burger was good albeit a bit messy with the sunny side egg running everywhere! The bacon topping the burger was perfectly done with the right crispy/crunchy consistency. My mimosas was refreshing except I did not get much of a pineapple taste. The fries were fresh and appropriately seasoned, not too salty and not too bland, just right. We were all full from our meals so we did not even consider dessert! The restaurant was busy but not overly crowded, so the atmosphere was quite. We sat by the windows and were not even distracted by the outside vehicles passing by. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would recommend J.R. Neighbors to anyone looking for good burgers in a good atmosphere in Etown.

Great food! I was in town for a week and ate here twice. The first time I ate the hot chicken sandwich. It was not hot but it was a really good fried chicken sandwich. The next time I had the steak salad. It was delicious!

I got a Caesar salad nothing to complain about. Pretty standard salad. And then we shared the deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes. Both were fantastic. Our bartender was very personable and fun to interact with. Highly recommend.

This is my second time having lunch here. Today, I was in town for a business lunch. I had the En Fuego Burger and Seasoned Fries. My client had The Newberry Single Burger and Tots. Service was fast and the food was excellent. Next time, I will try to check out their Speakeasy, the Cavern Club.

The "Hatch"et burger with truffle fries

Met a friend for dinner and had a great time. Every server/employee we encountered was friendly and happy to answer questions. Knowledgeable with great recommendations too. The spicy pickles app were yummy. And both burgers were incredible! Packed with flavor, great texture, exactly what each of us wanted. The tots and fries were underwhelming, crispy but bland. Which for truffle fries at an up charge was disappointing. And our server did bring us a variety of sauces to dip them in, which definitely helped elevate them. The place was somewhat busy but not overly packed. We were able to enjoy great conversation and loved the chill vibe. Refills were quick for the most part, and our server checked in often without being too much. Overall we had a great time and I'd definitely come back if I'm in town again!

The ambiance is top notch here! We really enjoyed the atmosphere for a double date night out. My friend and I shared the deviled eggs build your own style. They were delicious and I hope they'll offer the already dressed option in the future I heard that was amazing! My fiance got the en fuego burger and loved it! I got a single, plain smash burger and it was good but a little dryer than I expected. We ordered the truffle fries which were good, but the shredded cheese wasn't melted. These reasons are why I didn't score it 5/5! It was a laid back, fun atmosphere. Will definitely return!!

I had finally tired this place and they didn't disappoint! The server was great and helpful and kept checking on us all evening. I was able to try the fried green tomatoes & the spicy fried pickles. The fried green tomato was good and crisp & the pimento topping was nice. The spicy fried pickles were my favorite though, crisp & flavorful. I ordered the bye-son burger medium with a side of sweet potatoes fries. The burger was delicious & made to ordered and fries were crisp & okay. The sauce was okay and side of ketchup was nice touch. I will definitely come back since the overall experience was great and the vibes were chilled. A really nice addition to the area

Scrambled eggs & chocolate chip pancake & Avocado Toast
    Cortney C.

I'm a huge brunch fan, and I'm loving the new brunch menu! My friend loved their avocado toast and I had one of the best choc chip pancakes I've ever had! It was so delicious with the bourbon syrup and the edges were the perfect amount of crispy! Definitely do NOT need more than one pancake lol I don't ever think I've seen one bigger actually!! Will definitely be back! I really liked the mimosa flight too! The cranberry was my favorite!

Left quite a bit to be desired.

Drinks took 20 minutes to arrive and the adult slushy were little more than cold completely melted within about 5 minutes. The service was slow and it appeared there was just one server for the entire restaurant. The veggie burger was inedible and they didn't even get the fry order correct.

    The Texan - sooo good!

Trialed a flight and all four had unique but good flavors that I could've glad had a full glass of. The food was also really good! We had originally planned to go to a burger joint around the corner, but they had a 40 minute wait, and we passed HubHaus along the way. We truly enjoyed this spot. The kids LOVED playing pinball and Ms PacMan. Mom might have enjoyed that pinball too. Pinball was $1 a round. Bring cash for the quarter machine. The food was decent enough, and they do no contact ordering for the food, so there was no awkward interactions for our awkward teen. I had the Old Fashioned to drink, and it was good. Perfectly crafted. The beer was decent, and the cow motif was fun. We received our food promptly and there were plenty of spots for seating and watching sports. The outdoor area was hopping with small children. Loved the turf grass outside. The pretzel was different; I thought it was delicious but Picky 10 couldn't decide if it was weird or not. Mr. 14 got the brisket burger. The fries are true potato fries. I had the Reuben. It was fine. I enjoyed it, but it was heavy--when is a Reuben not heavy?! Hubs had a regular burger and enjoyed it. It was a nice find.

We had a couple cocktails in here and the service was excellent even though it appeared they were filled to capacity. There were 4 of us in our party and we were seated at a table in the corner near the bar. Was definitely a cozy spot with so many people being in there and the bar being full. I had The Holy Ghost cocktail and it was a pomegranate hibiscus sour, it had just the right amount of sour! I do not like bitter drinks and this one was good and easy to drink. My husband had a couple of dark beers, I do not remember which ones but he liked them.
