The burgers are good. The onion rings are great. The French onion soup is very good. However, I tried the Caesar salad with Cajun shrimp and it was mediocre. The dressing wasn't rich enough and the shrimp were cold and smaller than pictured. It's local and one of the closest places to where I live so it's good for that purpose. read more

We experienced great service here. The waitress was awesome. She appeared to be training a new associate and you could see why. She was friendly and attentive and knew her stuff. Not only was she super friendly to us she was the same with everyone in the section. Giving extra attention to the elderly couples who were out dining as well. The food was prepared as ordered with minimal wait time. One slight mixup with the food however, the waitress caught it before we even did. The restaurant was clean and had ample parking. I had numerous credit card charges and spoke to the manager Ednors or what ever his name was. All he could say was yea it was a credit card issue. Tabatha C is the worst server hands down! Everything started out fine but she messed up something on our order and after waiting about 5 minutes after the food dropped for her to check on us, we used call server button. 10 minutes later? Still nothing. Had to flag down another server to get ours.... she comes over extremely defensive/loud and says immediately "I wasn't in the back and THATS why I didn't see the call server notification and I'm very busy." so at that point, I just explained that you should check your tables regardless within 10 minutes of the food coming. Mind you it's 3:30 In the afternoon and there was a whopping 8 tables full in the whole restaurant and approximately 2 in her section. Seriously off her meds, bat sh*t crazy! Dinner out with a friend and landed at Applebee's this week. To start, I was very impressed with their social distancing dining set-up. Half of the tables were removed which provided for the correct distancing. Service was friendly and fast. We only did appetizers, but everything was hot and fresh. Also impressed with the cleaning station set up in a very visible part of the dining area, which was consistently being accessed by staff. They also had what looked to be a very nice set up for outdoor dining. We would have tried that had there not been a prediction of a thunderstorm. I'll try Applebee's in Exeter again ! read more

Same old, same old. Not bad, not great. It is never either of those. Service is generally good. Food is fine, it just doesn't knock my socks off. I wish the chain restaurants would stop the idiotic practice of sharing servers. One takes my order then another delivers then the original comes back after a while to check on us. Whenever this happens they get the bare minimum tip, since I feel no one excelled at anything. Also, a tip to the manager: whoever is supposedly "cleaning" underneath those little digital ordering terminals on each table is NOT cleaning under them. Maybe the table is clean but the base of the unit is NOT. Yuck!!! All in all, very standard chain restaurant experience, but always better than the Chili's in Pottstown. read more

I have had no luck with Applebee's in the past 20 years. My latest venture in this Applebee's was disappointing like the last time in Lancaster with that round boiled steak. I ordered Wings and Nachos. Wings were crispy and delicious. Nachos were good up until I received by third refill of salsa. Upon dipping my nachos in the salsa I noticed something I almost ate in the salsa. Holy hell it was a two inch piece of cellophane plastic? I could of had some serious digestive issues if I ate that! Even worse I could have choked on it. Needless to say Applebee's is in my shit house of restaurants for at least a year or two until I feel the desire to risk my life choking to death on plastic again. read more

Until I went to Car side pickup the burgers first time we're not how we ordered them no pink they were rare to medium rare at best, second time they were unedible they were so raw not to mention I had to go inside and get my food. First, one of my friends asked for no tomato and she got tomato. Then, I asked for a mango rainbow lemonade and I made it clear that's what I wanted because we had a whole conversation with the server about it . He came out with a regular one. Was no biggy I just asked for what I ordered and the server proceeded to question me and say that i asked for a regular when I did not. At the end of the night when I got my check I realized that my wings were $5 when wings were 25 cents. He seemed confused when I told him they should be 25 cents. He has worked here for years, I know this. So there isn't a reason for this to happen. read more

When I arrived at Applebee's the hostess rudely sent us outside without asking for our preference. When we were seated we were not given menus and the waitress took 8 minutes to arrive at our table. We then had to ask another waiter to bring us refills of our drinks. The mild wings were extremely hot and burnt our tongues and lips. Once finished eating we waited another 20 minutes to receive our bill. Very upset with the service. read more

Our server tonight, Matt with a Superman name tag, was the best server I have ever had. He serviced our table with speed and diligence. He was also happy, upbeat and an amazing conversationalist. I don't typically come to Applebee's very often as I have other preferred restaurants but I will start coming here more often simply because of the service I received from Matt. Tonight was, by far, the best dining experience I have ever had any at price point and it had nothing to do with my food (which was also good and my steak was cooked to my liking which is rare to achieve). This place is a joke. It is mother day I can understand the rush of people coming in today. What I don't understand is how the people ordering for door dash get their food before the people like me who have been sitter here for 2 hours. I couldn't even place and order on door dash because it was cancelled when I tried to place it. What I don't understand is why they tell you your food would be done at a certain time online and you get here and it's no even been made or let alone placed. The servers were getting mad because people are hungry and have kids to feed at home and can't get food anywhere else because everywhere else is closed. We came in for apps and all of it was just ok. The steak quesadillas, which were described as sirloin on the menu, tasted more like the meat was chewy hamburger. Severe skimping of sauce on the boneless buffalo wings (ongoing problem.) And the fries were hot for a few minutes. Also, never had to park so far from a restaurant at 10pm. Friends and I always go after 9pm for their half-priced appetizers. The food is always good, and comes out in a timely fashion. Service has always been well, and never had an issue with drink refills, extras, getting the bill, etc. We go back regularly and I would recommend to others. read more

Really happy with this place. The appetizer boneless wings were very good with some hot buffalo sauce on the side. Friendly staff. You pick two menu is also a great addition to sample different meals. I also really loved the mini tablets they have at the table so you order, pay, view foods, and even order refills and call your server on it!
