We were greeted and seated quickly on what looked like a busy Thursday night. The hostess by the name of Audra was very friendly and helped us to our seats. We were served by the best server that I have had in a very long time, years even. I dine out at least ten times a month and our server knocked it out of the park on every level. His name was Matt and his service and attention to detail were second to none. He greeted us with a smile and was very kind. We were looking for recommendations and he had a few with very detailed descriptions of them. My wife had something on her taste bud craving radar and Matt was able to guide her to what he believed would be the best choice for what she was looking for. She ordered his recommendation and was spot on with what she was after. Our drinks were always full and every little thing we requested was given to us in a timely manner. When it came to dessert, Matt once again had a very great recommendation that we ordered and enjoyed. Last time this place was decent was about 4-5 years ago! The food isn't good. The service lately has been awful. Have gone a couple times because I was invited and there is nothing on the menu that is good or won't hurt your stomach! And each time the waitress wasn't doing their job correctly. I recently tried Applebee's Really BIG Deal, and I have to say--it definitely lives up to the name. It's an amazing deal, cheap price for an amazing burger, all you can eat fries & a drink! I ordered the BIG Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, and it was an excellent. The burger itself was huge, with a thick, juicy beef patty cooked just right. The crispy bacon added the perfect amount of smoky flavor, and the melted cheese tied everything together beautifully. The bun was soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything without falling apart, and the toppings were fresh and well-balanced. Paired with bottomless fries, this meal filled even my hollow leg. Considering the value of the Really BIG Deal, it's hard to beat the quality and portion size for the price. We were celebrating our grandpas 90 bday. My grandma is hard of hearing, restaurants tend to be loud & hard to hear for her. This made it hard for her to participate in the conversation. The manager walked by and my grandma asked him if they could turn the music down. He responded "is it loud to you? Well its not loud to me. But i can turn see about turning it down 1 or 2 notches for you." We found this to be a very rude response & he didnt even turn the music down. They weren't busy at all. Everyone there was with someone having a conversation, im sure they wouldnt have missed the mediocre music playing. Hear me out. Applebees is a good neighborhood grill. A great one even. I tell everyone in Rexburg that if you are going to applebees for just the food you will be disappointed. Dont get me wrong, it gets the job done. But the real reason you go to applebees is for the ambience idk what it is about the applebees playlist but there are no misses... AT ALL. the staff will put a smile on ur face guaranteed. Conversations at applebees never come to a lull. I've only eaten here once and the first thing I noticed was that it was pretty overpriced, especially for the quality of food. It's good, but not worth the price in my opinion. Before I go on, take into consideration that we had a large party, about 12 people, and we were all on seperate checks. The servers were super sweet, but It took a while for them to get our food to us (about 45 minutes) and we only ordered appetizers. Then, they brought us the wrong stuff about 50% of the time and forgot a bunch of stuff. We got waters refilled once, but It was a busy night so we don't really fault them for this. Called the store because I noticed on Linkin that they were hiring and it was posted a week ago. I have 4 years of working at Applebees. I asked to talk to the manager and the manager on duty was named Autumn. I told her this scenario and she was very rude and skeptical. She said "If I've worked 4 years you would know that this time (12:16) is busy and I shouldn't be calling." Excuse me but the store opened an hour ago and from my experience this is the slowest time of the day. Took the family to the Rexburg Applebee's last night. Food was good. They were extremely business, but our waitress Nicole was very attentive to our needs even thought she had several tables to wait on all over the restaurant. She had extremely rude people in our area that were complaining about how long it was taking to get their food. If you walk in the Applebee's and the place is packed don't expect your food to arrive 10 minutes after you order it! I swear some people just look for reasons to be unhappy and cause problems! If you can't treat your waiters or waitresses with respect don't go out to eat! Stay home and fix it yourself! That being said, we had a nice time and our food was very good. Thank you Nicole! Really disgusting meal at this location. Had the rack of ribs. They were way over cooked to start with , but were microwaved then slathered with bbq sauce to try and make them palatable. We only came here because most other options in Rexburg were closed (it was Sunday). Not much to say, as I'm not a "chain" restaurant fan, but since we were hungry, it did the trick. I had the spinach and strawberry salad (only offered in the summer) and hubby had the "Cowboy burger" (bacon and other goodies). We split the triple madness chocolate cake. Fat, salt, sugar = check. We visited on January 1, 2024. We Began our adventure at 5:15 and didn't leave until 8:15 Definitely not the place to go if you want a dinner under 1 hour. Here's our story: we placed our food and drink order with the server around 5:15. Got the drinks and appetizers in a timely fashion but our food didn't arrive until around 7:45 ( and that was after we asked where our food was 3 times We saw 6 different parties be served and checked out before our food even arrived. Talked to a manger about the time difference and were told sorry but we are busy and you can have a free dessert. After further discussion we were offered a 10% discount for our inconvenience. Our table payment device was out of order and we waited another 20 minutes to finally receive our bill. Very disappointed in how this situation was handled. Not your usual Applebee's service. I agree with other reviewers who say that this restaurant is average. The food is good, but not mind-blowing, and the service has always been good as well. I really hate leaving less than good reviews on here but this place is just not good... The only thing I've ever enjoyed here is a steak with a baked potato and maybe a couple of their appetizers like quesadillas- Because they at least know how to cook that right. (That's the reason for two stars instead of one.) Other than that, things like pasta, shrimp, and even bread sticks have been over-cooked and nearly impossible to eat. Their sauces are also sub-par. I really wouldn't recommend coming here. Ever. It used to be inconsistent but now I feel that's is just consistently bad. This is unfortunately long overdue but I will never eat at this or any Applebee's ever again. I ordered the nachos appetizer and a lemonade from this Applebee's location in Rexburg and ended up in the hospital soon after from food poisoning and a bacterial infection from the food. I remember the ground beef being slightly undercooked and pink so I would add a big fair warning for anyone wanting to try anything meat-related from the menu. Applebee's was favorite to grab some half-off apps. The atmosphere was great, along with TVs everywhere in the bar area. We usually grab chicken wonton tacos, chicken quesadilla, white queso dip and chips, boneless wings. My wife and I loved going with big groups of friends, to double dates, or just ourselves. The reason my review wasn't a perfect score was that we would receive solid service to spotty service of servers chatting a ton or being neglectful of our orders or drinks. So I've been to this Applebee's twice in my life. Rexburg is a funny place to go visit, as you realize that probably your most "fun" eating out experience in the town is possibly Applebee's. The food is fine, the service is good, and have some deals. You've gotta laugh at some of their deals, as you see that Rexburg being a college town with cheap students, trying to get as much as they can for the least amount of money, applebees has been a victim of those hungry souls, and has had to put some conditions to their deals, like having to buy a drink in order to buy half off appetizers or things like that. Also, this applebee's does not have a full bar (go figure) only beer and wine are served. read more

I had a great experience at the Rexburg Applebee's. The service is always great and they remember their customers which is always nice when traveling alone. I was assigned to work with a client in Sugar City, Idaho. After a long day on the road, this place was within sight of my hotel and I figured what can go wrong, it's only Applebee's. The place is new and clean and we were seated promptly. I noticed that there was no one at the bar. When the waitress asked what we wanted, I requested a non-alcohol beer such as Sharps or O'Doul's....can't serve it until 8:00. Okay, how about Diet Coke....sorry, is Diet Pepsi OK? I'll have water. The three of us ordered the Asiago Steak with a side salad. As I was hungry, the salad was pretty tasty. The asiago steak left a bit to be desired, meat was tough and the crushed peppercorn was overwhelming. The roasted potatoes and vegetables were OK though. Overall the place was OK. Quick service, fairly decent-although standard meal, and reasonable prices. Still a bit weirded out about not being able to have non-alcoholic beer though. read more

I've never had a bad experience with Applebee's until today. First I ordered a spinach artichoke dip. The chips were bottom of the bag meaning it was small pieces. How am I suppose to scoop it? Then we ordered the broccoli chicken Alfredo which the sauce dried up already so the pasta was sticking together. My daughter ordered the same thing from the kids menu and the pasta were as well stuck together. Then, there was my son's steak. He ordered well done steak and got a rare steak with shrimp and sauce on the steak. The one he ordered was just plain steak. It was going to be ok since the server asked if we wanted a replacement but my son said it's ok. But the manager said it's ok because he got shrimps. Well, it's never OK if the customer didn't get what he ordered. Took a deep breath...continued eating my dry food and then while I was still eating....the server brought the check! My wife and I just had dinner here, boy it was a mistake. The place was in the middle of a slow part of the day, so we thought that we would get good, fast service. Instead, we got cold food and it took far too long to get our drinks and to-go boxes. My wife ordered a burger with no onions or pickles, and when it arrived, it still had them. I ordered a $17.99 12 oz steak, medium well with cheddar bacon potatoes and mac and cheese. The steak was a tiny little square of well done, gristle-filled meat, and the sides were slightly above room temperature. Not only that, but they put so much parsley on both my sides that it looked like someone dumped a bag of yard clippings onto my plate. We ordered lemonades (kiwi and pomegranate), and they were so tart that we couldn't even drink them. They obviously used syrups instead of real fruit because they had a fluorescent color to them.
