Hadn't been here in years but met friends recently for lunch given that the menu generally provides something for everyone. The menu options were great but food itself varied depending on what was ordered. My grilled chicken sandwich ($12.99) was fine, nothing special but nothing bad either. Fries were also okay. Two people ordered the grilled sandwich lunch specials ($6.99) and both commented that the bread was super greasy and salty. Just looking at the bread, it was definitely greasy. They didn't complain but also didn't finish their sandwiches and didn't take home leftovers. It should have been a clue for the server to ask about the food but she didn't. Another in our group ordered a couple of appetizers, which were reportedly greasy and soup wasn't good. Ambiance was typical of any Applebee's restaurant. Wasn't particularly busy. I took my mother to the local Applebee's for her birthday on Jan. 4. Mom had never been to an Applebee's before, and I hadn't been in there in a while myself. The place was relatively busy, but not too overcrowded. We were seated within 5 minutes of getting there. They took forever to take our order though, and more than 45 minutes after we ordered to deliver our food. Both of us had ordered a rare steak. I mean come on how long does it take to "not" cook a steak? All the while, the waitress didn't come back to our table, neither of us was offered a drink refill. When we finally did get our food, it took another five minutes before we could start eating, as they hadn't given us any silverware. Apparently they were out. The steak was ok, but we had both told the waitress that we didn't want the mixed vegetables, yes this is getting a bit nitpicky, but they were provided anyway, complete with the juice that puddled on the plate, and sloshed onto the steak, making a few bites taste like broccoli. Normally not something I'd complain about but with all of the other things, it bears mentioning. On the "bright" side they did provide a free milkshake for mom with it being her birthday. The problem with that being that she told them she didn't want it, and is diabetic. Only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the staff here is absolutely amazing!!!!! Very hardworking, very attentive and respectful. The manager on the other hand....NOT impressed. I watched a handful of plates go back (including ours in which we never ever complain about food) and the manager got pissed at his waitresses, not their fault. Our waitress was fantastic! Offered a refund or a new entree. As a guest of this establishment I would expect the manager to at the very least to come and ask us what was wrong with our food, but no...he was breathing over his waitresses shoulders barking orders at them. I never leave reviews, but this is crazy. This most recent time I went here (11-9-19) I ordered a salmon meal as I usually do with Applebee's, they bring out a portion of food that could fit in a $1 banquet TV dinner. The salmon was about as big as a chicken strip. I asked to speak to a manager, which took about 20 min for him to come out, just to say that's normal, but they can remake it if I'd like. Wait another 15 for them to bring it out. By the time I began eating, my daughters and brothers were done with their food. I ordered brownie bites for my daughters, they bring one brownie bite out and one brownie sundae looking thing. They took it back and replaced it. I finish my food and decided to have a maple pecan blondie to go...just to wait about another 20 minutes for them to bring it out. Something told me to check it, which I did, and found that they put apple filling on the blondie. Just like the salmon, I always get the blondie if I'm getting dessert, so I'm pretty familiar with how it's supposed to be. No, I bring THIS issue up to the waitress just to be told that THAT is the way it's made. I said no it's not, she said "Oh, that's the new blondie......if you want I can send my manager over" No thank you, I just won't come back. She was good as a waitress, but the experience was terrible. This was the 3rd and final consecutive time for bad experiences here for me. The time before this, my lady ordered quaso dip, just to have it brought out cold. The time before that, we ordered take out, which I got my usual (grilled salmon meal with a blondie), which the blondie was made correctly, but the actual brownie was ROCK hard‍. Went there a week ago with a friend and our kids. Service was friendly but slow. I ordered a steak medium rare and it appeared to be cooked accordingly. But that night and most of the next day I was so sick. Nausea, stomach cramps, etc. dr said it was food poisoning, likely due to the steak. Steaks cooked medium rare can be perfectly safe to eat as long as the meat has not been punctured and the cooking utensils used are clean. Needless to say... I won't be back. read more

I got what I and most call a triple heart attack hamburger. It was so good well cooked to a melt in my mouth. A very soft bun and it even had that nice feel to it as I slowly took my first bite it was like oh so good , I know I will have this more then one time in my life. The bacon was so good and chrisp. Every thing about it puts me at a loss for words and this does not happen much in my life. I also had a order of fries. They were also crisp on out side and very nicely done inside . They were so good that just the look of them made to others in my group of 10 get them too as a side another side to the one they first picked. Wow way to go to the cooks. My husband chose this while we were out shopping last night. I stopped going when they stopped making the orange chicken bowl which was the one thing I liked there. We started with the spinach artichoke dip that was barely warm. It wasn't that great. I got a Parmesan shrimp topped sirloin. I had forgotten that the last time I ate at an Applebee's (about 4 years in a different state) I got steal so bad and so riddled with white fibers even the waitress was grossed out. This one wasn't much better. I just think Applebee's should stop doing steak. While it was cooked a perfect medium rare, you couldn't chew it enough it was so tough. I took two bites and spit the last one out. My husband tried it and agreed. The waitress did not even notice that the entire steak was still on the plate when she took it. They did up taking it off the bill though. My husband liked his fish and chips. Service was slooooow and it took forever to get our food and get cashed out. However ( and this is NOT Applebee's fault) during our recent visit about 15 mins into our meal there was a family of one of the busers that was absolutely out of control. They were screaming, climbing all over the booth and their mom just kept threatening but not doing anything to control them. Our server knew they were obviously bothering the entire section ( I cannot stress how loud the kids were and the scene it was) but couldn't do anything about it because well..... We called to get a reservation and was told that they were not taking reservations, and when they were told that we are a party of 10 they said "no problem we can accommodate you. When we arrive at the restaurant we watched a party of 16 being seated with their reservation. We stood inside the restaurant for 15 minutes before anyone even greeted us. Finally we were told that it would that it would be at least a 45 minute wait. The "host" James was very rude, when asked if they could just seat us at empty tables near each other, he snapped "no, we can't do that". We asked to speak to a manager several times and none ever spoke to us. My wife actually called the restaurant from her cell phone, we could hear the phone ringing, but nobody would answer it. James told us that if we didn't like it we should go to the Cinco Demayo restaurant next door, he told a group of people behind us the same thing! They did leave and go next door. Someone came out of the kitchen wearing an apron and introduced himself as the manager, I didn't know that the managers of this chain were also kitchen help. We were finally seated and the only saving grace for this restaurant was the waitress, her name is Jacci. She gave us fantastic service. And did a great job for the restaurant as far as "service recovery" is concerned. We actually would have just left and went to another restaurant, but it was the night of our grand-daughters graduation and that was where she wanted to eat. Cudos to Jacci. Here on a Thursday nite, not busy, took a little while to get a waitress, but she was pleasant. Ordered what else, but the Salmon! My table was right in front of a big TV so that helped. The drink was made to perfection, the Salmon was well prepared, that came with Spinach, that should of not covered the diced potatoes. Not nit picking, just saying. Took awhile to get a simple desert, staff appeared overworked. The desert came half melted, no charge when delivered from manager, a good sign. Worst service I have ever had.we ordered at 5:50 we received our salads at 6:34 we ordered extra dressing she didn't bring it until we were done with our salads. We ordered the Mac and cheese with chicken tenders and the 3 cheese chicken penne also the double crunch shrimp.the only thing that came outbhot was the shrimp everything else cold at 7:00 so we waited an hour for cold food. (The restaurant was not busy) after we tracked down our waitress and send our food back the manager brought out the same food microwaved!
