TL;DR Excellent neighborhood bar with better than average food…read more This place is comfortable and friendly, but this is definitely a working man's neighborhood bar...just a little rough around the edges. The decor is all over the place! FOOD: I was impressed by the menu. I have never seen Flaming Saganaki on the menu at a neighborhood bar before! GTSB&G has a bit of a Greek flavor. On the menu, you'll find Greek chicken parm, a legit Greek salad, gyro, and chicken gyro, and Saganaki! I did not ask to see if they have OUZO! I didn't have any of the Greek food, but I will say that the GT burger (hold the bacon, add some mayo) was fantastic. 1/2 pound of tasty beef cooked to a perfect medium well. The toppings were fresh and high-quality. Even the French fries, although a little soggy, were delicious. I didn't drink, but it seems as though there is a pretty average selection of draft beer, maybe above average for the type of bar that this is. SERVICE: The service was pretty good. My food came out pretty quickly and the bar maid was very friendly. As the place started to fill up more, I noticed that she was doing a good job at keeping up with all the orders. So far, so good. 4 stars for now. I will be back to try some the other food. If it compares favorably to the burger, good times we will get another star!

The bar is very nice, big bar. we like to sit at the bar when we try a place. Great place to watch sports. Big cheap beers, hand cut fries are awesome. I am telling you though these burgers are worth driving for. We got both burgers on Texas Toast. Absolutely delicious and the price was right $12 burgers with hand cut fries. I highly Highly recommend this place. I don't think you'll find a better burger and if you do please let me know where. My new favorite place even if I have to drive 20 minutes to get it.

Great food and great service! The chicken and dumpling soup was phenomenal with nice big chunks of…read morechicken, best I've ever had. The hot roast beef was also great they cut the meat there. The mashed potatoes are real potatoes, not boxed. My husband had the chicken fajita wrap. He says it was hot and juicy, contents were well seasoned and well cooked. Fries were crispy without being burnt. Our server was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. We were here in December, only complaint is I don't think the bathrooms are heated, it was very chilly in there. One other thing to note, if you order root beer, it is birch beer and is very sweet (for my own future knowledge, I don't care for it).

3.5 I stopped here for a quick mid-afternoon lunch. Service…read morewas prompt and polite. Ambiance was dark- like a bar-type of atmosphere- which didn't matter because it was an overcast day in Ohio. It was also more of a sports var as there were lots of TV screens. I ordered a chicken caprese sandwich after being assured by my server that it was one of her favorites. It came with delicious French Fries. The sandwich was good but not amazing. For my taste, the chicken was a bit overcooked, but better than undercooked. The fries were delicious, even though I only ate a few. Before I went to college, I worked in a nice seafood restaurant and our nightly task was to make sure ketchup containers were full. Therefore, I noticed that my container of ketchup was down to the last few squirts. Never a good thing/sound! Overall, not a bad place to eat, but nothing worth going out of your way to try, imo. I see that others gave it better reviews, so this is my experience, Pictures below...

We've been here a total of two times - 1 time for carryout 1-2 yrs ago and today for dine-in. I…read moredon't remember much about our carryout experience, but I can say with confidence we won't be back after our dine-in experience today. The food was fine. We ordered fried pickles for our appetizer and that came out within 10-15 min of us being seated. They were hot, delicious and the sauce they came with was pretty tangy and tasty. No complaints. We placed our meal order at the same time as the appetizer, but waited 20-30 min for our food to come out. We ordered Cuban and BBQ Chicken sandwiches. Our waitress came by once during that wait and told us our food would be out shortly but never gave a reason for the delay. I was irritated when the couple behind us - who were seated well after us - received their meals 10-15 min before ours came out. Our waitress was very chummy, attentive and friendly with them and barely checked in with us. Definitely didn't receive the same service. Unfortunately her tip reflected that. Our food was good. BBQ chicken sandwich was good. Needed more sauce but I asked for a side. Cuban was fine. Needed a sauce too but I used the sauce that came with the fried pickles. Fries were delicious and hot. Some of the onion rings were strange. The smaller ones mostly. They weren't even warm and had a chewy consistency. It was weird. As far as the atmosphere? Ugh. That alone killed it for me. 1) it's so dark in there. The dark floors...the dark ceilings...and all that dark wood! All that darkness paired with the depressing country music playing had me wanting to take myself out. Maybe it's good if you're there to drink your sorrows away and whatever teardrops they were singing about, but I found it irritating and agitating. BBQ isn't strictly country music - it can be blues too.

Went there yesterday with my best buddy for a burger and a beer. What a great burger!!!…read more So, the place is like any other "old time bar" inside. Linoleum floors, a long bar on one side of the room and an odd half-wall that kind of thing that divides the room into 2 sides. It's odd because it just divides the room. I can't really see any purpose to it, but whatever... There are dollar bills taped everywhere. Kind of a cool touch. Lots of kitschy stuff that old bars tend to have. The few things that seem out of sorts is a lack of stench from stale beer and cigarette smoke. We played in a lot of these bars years ago and they all had that smell. Some of them still do because they allow smoking (egad!). The men's room is absolutely terrible, but it was clean. The only thing that would make it worse is if it had one of those trough urinals (like the old Michigan Tavern on Smith). A divider between the urinals would be a nice touch... Oh, I went off on a tangent again, sorry. So, the burger! Perfectly cooked and the requested toppings were spot-on. Nicely seasoned, cooked on a flat top to medium. The bun was soft but nicely toasted. It's a big ol' thing - 10 ounces! I ordered fries with mine. The fries are fresh cut. They should have been crispier. The best way to do that is rinse the fries in cold water after cutting to remove the excess starch and then double fry them. I don't think those steps were done. I give them an "A" for effort because fresh cut fries are a pain. I'll give them a "C" for the actual results. We also had PBR's with this (just one each, thank you)! The total, with the tip came to $40 bucks. Some would say that's too much for lunch, but the burgers are huge, and we each had a beer. The fries are something like $5.00, so all in all, not a bad deal. I'll definitely be back! Crisp up the fries and get a divider in the men's room and this would be a 5-star review!
