Walked into Applebee's and were seated quickly. Our waiter, Dustin, did a great job taking care of us from start to finish! My cousin wanted two different types of beer on tap, but unfortunately they did not have either one available. That did not stop us from enjoying our meal, though. I ordered the Ribeye based on Dustin's recommendation, and it was definitely the right call. Thanks to Dustin and the cook--the steak was cooked perfectly and didn't even need steak sauce! My cousin ordered the fish and chips and was very very pleased with his meal as well. Dustin stayed on top of everything, making sure our drinks were always full and checking in to see if we needed anything else. I am not sure why this location has lower ratings than expected. Son and I went in for their $15.99 all you can eat special. The shrimp was by far the best option, cooked perfectly. The boneless wings had good flavor, but were extremely hard to eat, so hard in fact it hurt my teeth. I don't know if it was too much breading or overcooked (possibly both), but they were not good. The riblets came out temperature cold and thus weren't enjoyable. Only 6 wings/shrimp on re-orders is not enough. Small re-orders, lots of fries, and a lengthy time to get them is a great strategy for your brain to tell you that you are "full". Price is right, but it seems like the quality has slipped since our last visit. read more

I haven't been to this location since before I moved away 8 years ago. I showed up a little after 9... The waitress that initially helped us order drinks was a little rude. At some point, she was off and we were helped by Ryan A. He was great! He checked on us, made sure we had refills, etc. My friend and I both ordered the Bourbon Chicken and Andouille Sausage pasta. I added Jalapeño and it was DELICIOUS! The bread stick was stale and not good, but the pasta definitely made up for it. I'll definitely be back to order that. The mozzarella sticks felt like they weren't cooked well... The cheese did not melt. The spinach dip had a strong cheese taste, Idk which cheese it was, but it was still good. And the bartender Julie makes the Perfect Skinny Marvarita! ( ask for a salt, sugar, tajin mix on the rim!) Now on the food.. Bourbon Street Chicken and Andouille Sausage Penne was delightful! The sauce on top brought it all together. The Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp was served over grilled onions and mushrooms with a side of seasoned mashed potatoes. Heaven! The manager Jennifer runs a tight ship but her level of management reflects in the actions of her staff- everyone looked happy and relaxed and seemed to be content in their jobs. In the shopping center area in Turlock off the 99 freeway is Applebees. Haven't been to an Applebees in a while. This time was pretty good one I can say. The service greeted the party right away. We got a booth and were waited right away by Monique the waitress. Monique did a great job. We also ordered the appetizer combo. The restaurant facilities were clean interior and exterior. Parking spots available on both sides of Applebees. They have special prices for happy hour and late night hours meals. Yes they are family friendly, date night, whatever occasion you choose. Well well well, for those of us who don't have a income to go out to eat all the time or who are living page to paycheck let me tell you about this place, so Applebee's decided to start charging one dollar for refills. Yes, you heard me correctly I was shocked after I had ordered and drank the first glass of soda. I spoke to the manager and she said that this is something that they had just started then I proceeded to contact corporate to make a complaint about this. There are some people that like to have two or three sodas and the cost of these drinks to a restaurant is only anywhere from $.10 to maybe $.20 believe me I know. So I for one and never going back it's not that great of a place and I have so many other wonderful places to choose. They're just not gonna treat me like that. I'm already subjected to leaving a tip or if you take a party of more than five or six people it's a mandatory gratuity that's not right if they feel that strongly about it, they should pay their employees a lot better and make better food. So I want you guys to be aware that that all you can eat chicken wings are breaded so much you barely get any chicken and they sauce the wings sometimes too much and they would only let you start with one thing at a time you can't even choose two no more however there are so many other places you can go to for when I'm not gonna put up with this if I have to I'll start eating at home but they need to understand the impact it's having on their business and the impact is having on customers. And then came time to close the check and pay and the Manager took my card and I asked for some boxes. She then proceeded to tell me that we are not allowed to take boxes for the all you can eat menu even leftovers you have. I continued to ask about this policy and she turned her back to me and continued to walk away and give me an attitude. Now I understand some people have bad days but you work in a customer serving role please act like it or choose a different career or job. If you can't handle a customer who is curious as to why he can't have some boxes for his food that he just bought there is no way you should be a manager at a restaurant of all places. My son's kids meal was not even lukewarm and my steak was cooked wrong twice, I wanted medium rare and they cooked it Well done both times. I just ate it eventually because everyone else was almost done eating and they took my plate to re make it twice. They told me afterward they couldn't cook it medium or rare because of the shape of the steak, (thick in the center football shape) so that's why it wasn't right. Yesterday afternoon for Memorial Day I went with my family and we waited 15mins for us to be seated after the fact we had booked a reservation, after we were seated the waitress that had to work our table took 20mins to ask us if we wanted anything such as a drink. She was being rude from the start when she sat us down. My brother had politely ask the waitress what was the most recommend drinks that people usually likes getting here and she automatically replied to him saying "I don't drink so how am I suppose to know, ask someone else". My mother was asking about the "all you can eat meal" and the waitress rudely right away told her "that you be charged an extra all you can eat meal if you share your food with anyone from your family members at this table". Don't know what was bugging her to be like that during her shift but we felt harassed because she was just attacking us with her attitude. I didn't catch her name on her name tag but she was a lady with glasses. We told her we wanted someone else to help us out instead of her because how she was being toward us for no reason. She rudely stated she was going to have the bartender serve us if we wanted to. What a pleasant surprise! Haven't been to an Applebee's in years. The service was perfect. We were seated right away. Monique took excellent care of us. Caesar salad was fresh and crispy, with shaved parm and delicious dressing. Mom's salmon was prepared just the way she liked it(not too much Cajun spice). Ribs were tender and fell off the bone. He greeted us within 2 minutes of being seated, checked on us multiple times while rotating through the restaurant, and when my husband's burger was brought out incorrectly he did everything in his power to make sure the problem was fixed and that we were taken care of.
