For the most part of our group the food was fine. My husband's hamburger was raw and the color was odd. He ended up not having anything to eat after seeing that. Mid. Mid. Mid. Went for a friends birthday and it wasn't all that good. I got a 6oz steak... medium rare. It was very chewy. And definitely not medium rare. We really enjoyed their 16 oz prime rib which u can ask for creamy radish or raw radish to go with your steak. I got the medium rare ribeye combo with 6 grilled shrimp. I visit town every month and my friend and I usually will have dinner here to catch up without problems. Today we got there about 830 at night.. pretty empty. Our waitress was nice and after our order came out she was nowhere to be found.. our sides were forgotten so we had to flag down whoever would pass us to get them. We figured maybe she went on a break but didn't tell us. So the rest of the night we had to just flag down random waitresses to help us. When we tried to get a check because we had plan to pay in cash. Finally a waitress who had helped us before answered (She started right off the bat with the worst attitude, but my friend and I just wanted to leave so we just dealt with it) and we let her know we wanted to order bread to go and that we had cash. She only gave us our cash not the change.. it was 27 cents, so not the end of the world, but we didn't tip in the end because we didn't even know who we were tipping at that point. Although pick up time takes fairly long sometimes it's not worth the weight. But if you go in to sit down and have dinner. It is more than worth it. Just so so restaurant and definitely not a go-to bbq place. My family and I go here sometimes and I stress "sometimes." What do we love? The appetizers, the bread and that delicious butter. The ribs were burned. We sent them back. I literally haven't sent food back in about 20 years. They were that burned. Everyone agreed including the server they were burned. My question is if you're a bbq restaurant that has 35-40 price points on your small portion plates then why would you even consider letting that leave your kitchen. Then how does the server look at it and say "meh, send it". They replaced it quickly but why force us to request it? The country fried chicken was good. No complaints. The loaded fries , loaded potato and the skins all seemed like they were microwaved. Not a good feeling for food that is supposed to be higher quality than McDonalds and Carls Jr. I really like the restaurant feel but man has the quality of the food become very institutionalized. Came here alone as I was waiting for my husband to finish his work out in this area before picking me up. Food was delicious but felt they used too much salt. Service was great but unfortunately my nightmare came true. Asked for to go boxes and even left my big roadhouse bag of food to go on the seat. Went to use the restroom to just wash my hands for a minute and the second I am back the dish guy is already cleaning off my table. Seriously? The server guy caught him just too late and there I am just confused and pissed. Lost the unopened bag of peanuts, 2 fresh breads with butter I wanted to take home too since I ordered a 2nd plate for my husband since each meal comes with a pair of buns. Whatever I don't like causing a scene. I got my mashed potatoes for free but there was still a few bites of steak on the bone I had left I wanted to enjoy. And they didn't even honor the 15 dollar special for the chicken critters when I was there at 3pm. Really? 4 and a half croutons? On the positive side, the servers at the bar, Gabe and company are awesome. They are the reason we come here 2 days a week. The steaks are great and so is the chicken. My girlfriend and her family love T-Roads, and I can't remember the last time, if ever, so I knew when I was visiting the 209, I had to give it a try. This place does get busy, so it's recommended to go on their website to get on the waitlist. It will save you plenty of time. We started off with their famous dinner rolls and cinnamon butter. These came out piping hot, and were tasty. I ordered the the ribeye with loaded mash and a cesar salad. The ribeye itself was pretty average, meat quality, alright, but it didn't have so much flavor. Some maldon salt would've gone a long way. The cesar was alright, but the loaded mash was delicious when I added some horseradish to it. Adding that, adds a such a different flavor profile that elevates the side dish. I also got the ribs, and while they were fall off the bone, they were dry at the same time. How that happens, I have no clue but they were alright, probably wouldn't get it again but my girlfriend loves em, so I'll just steal a couple from her order to get my rib fix for the night. For drinks they had $5 LIT (Long Island Iced Teas), which is self explanatory, and never a good idea. Did that stop me from ordering it? No, but did what it needed to do. Overall, Would it be my first choice? Prob not. Would I come here again? Yes. It's an affordable steakhouse, with solid sides, and not a bad place to watch the game. The wife had a steak craving, so naturally, we stopped in at Texas Roadhouse in Turlock. The wait was about 2 minutes. Was pretty nice, being that we normally check in from the app as we are leaving home to avoid a 30-45 minute wait. Potato Skins are my wife's go-to appetizer, and she loves them well done near burnt most times. They came out well. Main consisted of BBQ Chicken and Sirloin combo with mashed potatoes and brown gravy and a cup of chili for me. My wife had 6oz sirloin with a salad and baked potato. Our waitress Ciera was very attentive and super polite. Food came out cooked exactly as ordered. Bbq Chicken was good, not overpowered by the bbq sauce. Steak was perfectly medium rare. My only complaint is that my mashed potatoes weren't as good as I had expected based on prior visits. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well and surprisingly left very little behind to take home to our doggo. One thing I hadn't ever noticed was the Texas star above the bar. It's a neat additi9n to the bar area that I'll be pointing out to others in the future. Have never eaten at this particular location, so family and I decided to eat here on Fat Tuesday. Our service was outstanding, some of the best I've ever received at a chain-type restaurant. The food was pretty standard for a Texas Roadhouse...above average and filling. Appetizer sampler was a little below average. My wife ordered her prime rib well done and had to send it back because it was too rare for her liking, but it was a good cut of meat. I got the ribs. They were indeed fall off the bone and very meaty, but they got a little too dry as they cooled off. My son said his burger was solid. Ice cold Shiner Bock on tap was awesome! The place was packed for a Tuesday, but we got right in because I signed onto the waiting list through their website ( highly recommended). My first time at a Texas Roadhouse and won't be my last. What a great dinner for Dads birthday. The bbq chicken was the best chicken I've eaten. It was so fresh and juicy. The ribs were cooked exactly the way I like them and they were gone and in my belly!!! Dad and I had a great waitress and the manager was so friendly. They give you free peanuts while you wait for your name to be called for seating. When they call you for your table they bring rolls with you. Ohhhhhh man the rolls are sinfully delicious too. Great location and easy to find. Plenty of free parking and of course all ADA friendly. Bring the family for a very good meal, take a picture on the saddle by the meat counter. When we arrived we checked in with the people at the front and they told us the wait time would be about an hour and a half. We had a seat and waited over an hour and went to ask them about how much longer but they had never put us on the list. So we had to wait extra time to be sat. When our food arrived the meat was cold and my burger patty was burnt and so was the bacon. They also forgot to add my mushrooms. The manager was called over so he could take a look at my burger and he apologized and had another one be made for me. The second burger was really good and well made. I had also walked back up to the workers at the front and let them know that it was my father's birthday and asked if they could let our server know. I let him know I didn't tell the server myself because I wanted to surprise my dad but we were the first table in the seating section. The worker pointed and my table and asked "this first one" and I said yes. Then he said "yeah of course I'll let your server know" Our server was really nice and did amazing but everyone else was not very attentive. We have eaten here three times and it is fantastic. The place is clean, the air conditioning works great and the service is excellent. My wife tells me that their prime rib is up there with the best she has ever had. My ribeye was spot on. Texas Roadhouse is the best value for a quality steak in Turlock! I go here, at least, a couple of times per week! All of the food, I've sampled, is tasty! It's often difficult to figure out which items I want to try today! The fresh baked bread is hot and delicious! The sirloin has the tenderness of a filet! The sides are wonderful! And the desserts are delectable! Every now and then my steak is undercooked, but easily fixable! Service is always friendly and efficient! Our server Vicki was an absolute gem, very fun, knowledgeable, and took great care of us. The shrimp was a bit salty but still buttery and great tasting flavor wise. The bbq chicken tasted good as well. For the sides we got the loaded baked potato and the vegetables. They give you bread to start with and the butter is a nice cinnamon sugar flavor. We also got the blossom onion rings which are a must! You can definitely share the entire and app to get a little bit of everting. I would love to come back to try the drinks and some more of the entire and side items. Finally got my father-in- law to a Texas Roadhouse! We went around noon and they were busy but we were seated right away. We came at the perfect time because by the time we were leaving the lobby was full of guests waiting. Our waitress was Emalie and she was great! She was very attentive and took the time to answer all of our questions even silly ones like why was the menu slightly different than other roadhouses. Now the the food! It was amazing I had the 12oz Ft. Worth ribeye with double mash and country gravy. My father-in-law couldn't believe how good the food was he got the country fried sirloin. My son loved his chicken strips but love that the waitress listened to him (he felt like a big boy) my husband also love his NY Strip.
