Warning to parents and families visiting Wentzville Applebee's. This evening, the restaurant served an alcoholic beverage to my underage daughter. Because we completely trusted staff, the drink was shared among five other underage kids (15-20) before the error was caught by chance after asking for a to-go cup. My daughter was supposed to be the driver for our family tonight. Had we not asked for a to-go cup, an underage driver would have been on the road with alcohol in her system. When we brought this to the staff attention, there was no management involvement, no formal apology, and no adjustment to our bill. In fact, they allowed my underage daughter to pay the final ticket, charging us full price for the drink they illegally served her. Haven't been to Applebees in years. Went out to the bars, this was one of the only places open, so we went- and man have I been downplaying Applebees in my mind!!! Service, prices, food and portions were 10/10. Our waitress Nicole L was a doll and so attentive. Food came out so quick and was so tasty! We had the classic combo app which was delicious and the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp, Oreo shake, and The Prime Rib Dipper. All were 10/10. I've never been disappointed by their entrees but - chicken and gnocchi soup was a disappointment. First time I have eaten this soup from anywhere and I guess I need to try a different restaurant if I am craving it. We had two orders of it. Mine had two small pieces of chicken in it and one gnocchi and the soup was very thin. My husband's had no chicken in it and probably a half dozen gnocchi but a thicker soup. I came in here to meet someone for a quick bite and more so because we had a meeting. Once he walked in we were seated within a few moments. After the host had seated us our server came over to greet us within two minutes. Our server did not rush us to place an order she was very sweet and accommodating. Unfortunately she didn't have a name tag on so I was unable to get her name and there was no name on the receipt. We talked for a very long time and she did bring us our checks and did not rush us to pay we still continue to talk for about 20 minutes before we finally paid. When we did pay she continued to not rush us and let us continue talking. Usually servers will drop hints like they are getting ready for a shift change or mention some thing else because they get only a limited amount of tables for their shift. However I just thought it was very kind that the server was very patient and very sweet to us the entire time. read more

I have not been here in ages. In the past I did not like the food or the slow service. So after a couple of years I came back. The service has improved but the food has not. I had a club sandwich that was poorly done, my fries were greasy and my wife's salmon was very dry, cooked too long. It will be a very long time before I return. read more

Even though it's the part of same restaurant chain, there is still a different feel at the Applebee's in Wentzville compared to the Warrenton one. Both are good, just the environment is different. Our server Haley was awesome, super nice, and attentive when it came to our drinks and checking up on us. Our food came out pretty quick, and everything tasted fresh. For the first time I ordered the Broccoli Fettuccine Alfredo (without chicken) for the first time and oh my was it delicious. The Alfredo sauce was creamy, flavorful, and I loved the broccoli that came with it. We also ordered the new breadsticks with Alfredo sauce as an appetizer and that was a nice change for a starter meal as well. I was very happy! read more

We were actually impressed by the food here. This place was dead, hardly any tables in the restaurant at the prime time! We got the chicken skillet topped with shrimp and side of mashed potatoes on each skillet. We also ordered a side of fries and a kids meal. Everything was cooked perfect and fresh! The chicken was juicy and very flavorful. Not dry at all! The shrimp was amazing! The mashed potatoes tasted like mashed potatoes, they were very hot! Props to the cook because he/she killed it. This place is the old standard. Haven't been to Applebees in a long time and have never been to this one. I'll admit, it's nothing special. However... the service was friendly, the food was familiar and well prepared, the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was comfortable and family friendly. So often we see these places that aim to be something really special and they just fail miserably. There are places with a huge menus and quirky decor that have horrible service and could somehow mess up something as simple as a burger (I'm looking at you, 54th street grill). This Applebees was solid across the board. My boys loved the choices on the kids menu and we had a good time there overall. Nothing fancy here, but they checked off all the boxes. This was your average Applebee's. Our waitress was really nice. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with no cheese or dressing. It came out with cheese, so I had to send that back. My boyfriend got a steak, which he had ordered rare, and the waitress was great in having him cut into it before she left the table, because it was well done. So we sent that back, also. When our food finally came back, it was pretty good. The sides with the steak were pretty good, except the mashed potatoes hed to be warmed up. They had good flavor, though. The green beans were very good. The restrooms desperately need cleaned. I would probably return. The salads are definitely good. read more

Food was okay, service was alright but then our server had the audacity to take our newborns high chair and proceed to turn it towards herself. Then grabs his bottle out of his mouth as he was EATING!! My wife and i were furious, as my wife pulled the bottle out of her hand i had to tell our server that it was completely inappropriate for her to do that. She proceeded to make excuses as to "the grandma in me" and "i forget parents have to set boundaries." The hostess was really the best part. She was very polite and friendly. It went downhill from there. We waited at our table for probably 5 minutes. Our waitress was kind of rude when she came out. Chewing gum audibly through a mask. We ordered diet sodas. She brought out the wrong ones after 10 minutes.... she hadn't even taken our food order at this point. We ordered an app of potato skins. Well, we ordered, but they were forgotten. It was taking a while, then the waitress came out with our meals. We told her just to leave off the potato skins. Our meals were a ceasar salad with grilled chicken and no cheese. You guessed it... it had cheese. The other meal was a burger that was not cooked well. While other local haunts have kind of gone downhill (blaming covid), Applebee's has stayed on track. My only gripe is the location is a bit dated - it could use a refresh. read more

I have been taking my kids here now for about 10 years and the experience is always great! One of our favorite things has been the friendliness and care of the servers. I was in Missouri this past Thanksgiving Weekend to visit family and friends when I stopped by Applebees. It has a typical corporate menu, but the food was prepared well. The place is well kept including the restrooms. We ate at the bar in which the bartenders were just great. I've been a few times to this location before. The service is always good and the food is generally good. However, I ordered a burger cooked pink for pickup and the bottom was burnt to a crisp in most areas. There was no pink at all and a good portion of it couldn't be eaten because it was so hard and crispy on the bottom. read more

Service is always good. I'm always attended properly and treated well. Lunch usually gets busy but I never wait too long for my food. Good flow and the servers, for the most part, assist my needs. If you want to order a steak or burger with a certain temperature that isn't medium well ... you almost never get it. I love hot pink ( medium) for my steaks, but it seems as tho they can never perfect it. The burgers always are cooked well done with even tho I ask for medium-well. They have little to no flavor, and bacon is too crispy (but that's also preference) Asian sweet chili wings are so good ! And they have delicious apps such as the wonton tacos and their boneless buffalo wings! Dessert - The brownie lava cake with ice cream is so good ! The mix between the warm brownie and the cold creamy goodness of the vanilla ice cream is to die for ! For the quality of the food, the prices can't be beat. I love the deal of 2 for 20$, it's great when you wanna to go out on a date and you don't wanna break the bank. read more
