We go to this place with embarrassing frequency and 99% of the time it's incredible. Food is good, service is great. My only complaint about the food is that it seems lately, like since this year, the steaks are getting a bit iffy. They're either not cooked right or bad quality but half of the time you have to dig out the good parts. It's a bummer. But anything else is usually great. read more

I've been a couple times recently. For a chain restaurant, the food has been fresh, well cooked, with good service. Obviously there's a texas, western theme but luckily the country music isn't turned up loud ha! I had the garlic lemon chicken with crispy brussel sprouts, and baked sweet potato (i recommend this combo). recently. I had a strawberry salad with white balsamic vinaigrette (instead of the menu sugg raspberry dressing). The chicken on the salad is freshly grilled and not microwaved chicken strips with the little stripes painted on that so many chains have reverted to. My dining companion has been on a caesar salad kick and really enjoys longhorn's. Nit on the menu, but a grilled chicken caesar is available if requested. read more

You know your steak will be cooked your way, and for the price, it's not breaking your bank account. The service is great in terms of being, friendly, fast and efficient. The ambience is always the same, warm and cozy. Of course, the smell of steaks has your stomach growling the moment you walk in the restaurant. Large parking lot out front shared with a few other businesses so you have lots of parking options. We came in on a Sunday around 3:45pm t and it was not very busy. Could have been from the recent snow storm. The restaurant smelled good, was well lit and decorated for Christmas. They have country music playing softly and staff hustling around helping customers. We asked to sit at the bar and found open seats. We were greeted kindly by Megan who took our drink order promptly. I ordered a cup of French onion soup (it was so flavorful and yummy), the outlaw ribeye bone it and it was cooked to perfection (medium rare), with steamed broccoli. I go here quite often it's amazing I haven't reviewed them yet, usually because by the time I think to write one the food is already gone! That being said their food is absolutely splendid, I have tried all kinds of things from steak to baby back ribs, to their chicken sandwiches, but nothing takes the cake more than the quality of their burgers! Their burgers are juicy and full of flavor, the patties themselves are always cooked to perfection or whatever level of cooked you like. Some of my other absolute favorites have to be the sweet and super tender baby back ribs, their savory and feel good loaded potato soup, and their unforgettable Texas-tonion dipped in their house sauce! I don't think there's a single thing here you could go wrong with. The service is always great, busy or not they always stay on top of your drinks and cater to your every need, not to mention the food comes out quite fast. An honorable mention to the owner for clearly helping out with orders instead of lazing in the back like other restaurants, he greeted every table to make sure the food was done to their liking as well. All the waiters and waitresses do their jobs impeccably but Nicole takes the cake and goes the extra mile to make sure you not only get great service but enjoy your stay with laughter and fun experiences. I have not been to Longhorn in a while but really enjoyed my most recent visit. Appetizers were shrimp and smoke chicken. Both were delicious and came out hot. I also had a garden salad and a steak which I throughly enjoyed and end of taking a couple of bites and had a full meal to go. I had a margarita and this was okay, I am a margarita snob and have had my share of margaritas and it was just okay, I didn't order another. If I enjoyed I will have. We came here for dinner with a party of 12. We were quickly seated. Our waiter was pretty amazing and very attentive. I ordered a steak with a loaded baked potato and Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was really good. Lots of big shavings of Parmesan cheese on it. The baked potato was very good as well. My steak was just okay. For a steakhouse I would've expected better. I would've at least expected some sear marks on it and a little seasoning. I am sure I will be back, but I think I'll come at lunch and get a soup and salad. The Longhorn steakhouse never disappoints. Their food is so good if you've been there you know because it's always crowded while some people get up tight about the wait. It is good to know that it is worth it to wait! The bartender is a super friendly. The atmosphere has a nice vibe. They have daily drink specials. Texas margaritas, and Jack Daniels & Coke are a favorite of my husband and I. I love their brussels sprouts, the shrimp and lobster chowder and the Parmesan crusted chicken breast just to name a few. Not sure what to say about this restaurant. The Caesar salad was excellent as was the multigrain bread served with exceptionally delicious butter. The steak, although the flavor was quite good, was a little bit tough and did not chew like excellent quality beef. My wife had the chopstick with mushrooms and onions, and it was quite good. For what we paid I believe we received good value. I am a steak lover and purchased prime steaks to cook at home and therefore have discerning taste about steak. I would not return to this restaurant to have a steak dinner, but for some people I feel that this would be a good meal That they would enjoy. We came in for her birthday dinners, and we're pleasantly surprised at the deliciousness and great service. We only waited about 10 minutes on the waitlist before you're able to get seated. Our table this was not the cleanest by the house quickly cleaned it off with no problem and it was very kind about it. The ambience is pretty loud. I would say it is great for a double date night but maybe not just a date night for you and your significant other because it can sometimes be hard to hear each other talk with how loud it gets. I ordered a 21 ounce steak and I would highly recommend as it was a very thick cut steak, but it did have a lot of pepper. It was a bit spicy. My side salad and blue cheese was absolutely delicious. I also ordered a strawberry margarita and it came with a shaker, so I ended up getting two drinks out of it for the price of one. The server seemed irritated that she had a party of 8, and It took the server almost 20 minutes to greet us and they weren't really busy. We watched as several other parties were seated and served in a timely manor, and we still hadn't received our food. We ordered several appetizers and the pita chips with the spinach dip were fried too hard and were burnt. The firecracker chicken wraps were good. At some point they came out and told us that there were no chicken strips for the kids menu, but that was only about 20 minutes after we ordered food. My mom and I stopped in for dinner while on a drive from Kansas to Maryland. I ordered the spicy chicken bites as an appetizer which I always enjoy. I then ordered the chopped steak for the first time which was delicious. I would definitely order it again. It came with a huge portion of broccoli and a side salad. My mom ordered the 6 oz filet cooked medium. Unfortunately it came out way under cooked and even the waitress agreed. Upon having it sent back to be cooked further, it was then overdone. came in tonight to take my grandmother for a steak dinner i got the 6oz filet with a baked potato and ceasar salad, the salad came out with no dressing no problem got some after but also no croutons, didn't ask tho.. secondly the steak was cold and bland no real taste to it my grandmother got the lobster and steak her steak was the same way but the lobster was great. the bill was 80$ and i really didn't want to tip because our server never came to give us a refill and when asked took 10 min and by then i cut my steak up to box to bring home for my dog. also there's no table service we had 4 plates that were neatly placed at edge of table for server to move so we could have space and nobody came till we had payed the bill. overall pretty disappointing read more

Bit pricey but we had a gift card to use. Busy and loud ambiance but cabin vibes. Wish they had more help or cleaner tables it was a bit of a mess but normal. Usually, the food is very good. On my last visit, I believe they had issues with cooks from other restaurants. Unfortunately I had to take my bone-in rib-eye back several times. We have never had any issues until tonight. Waaay under staffed. We sat in the bar area and waited abt 10 min for anyone to acknowledge us. Waitress finally came by and said she would be back with menus. We had to stop her before she ran off to ask for drinks. It took awhile but we got our drinks and utensils no menus. Waited another 8 min finally got menus. While the table behind us sent their steaks back we waited another 10 min for waitress to come back to take our orders. Salads came out quick thank you we were starving. Then the wait was on again for 15 min. No one came by to see if we needed drinks or take our bowls. Finally 25 min our steaks came out. I had to stop the food deliverer to get A1 and he took off before we could ask for ketchup for fries A1 was delivered abt 10 min later half way thru the steaks and before we could ask for ketchup he ran off again. At no time did anyone ask us if we needed another drink. While in the meantime I sat and watched a lady complain to the manager abt her food while showing him pics of how bad it was. He took her order again and promised it would be right this time. While she waited she received a free beer and she complained why her beer was so expensive with her dinner. Mind you no one stopped to see if we needed ANYTHING but 4 employees stopped to see if she needed anything including the mgr. by the time we finished no ketchup for fries, both out glasses were empty plus my steak was well done and dry we didn't complain but had to wait 15 min to get the bill. The whole experience was 2 hrs we will never get back out of my life nor the $ spent for sub par food and terrible service. Our food was excellent Our starter was the tonion* I ordered the grilled shrimp with tomato butter* My hubby ordered the hamburger steak w/garlic mushroom gravy*. I chose the ribeye and my wife a strip steak. The food was very good as is typical for Longhorn. I was disappointed with the service. The waitress seemed annoyed we were a party of four. I ordered a beer. It never came. We asked for more bread twice. It never came. The friends with us asked four times for a ice tea refill. It never came. She blamed the kitchen (adding sugar for tea took 70 minutes) , the bar (changing keg took 70 minutes), she disliked training a new waiter. The table next to us was having their sweet tea refilled, ordered the same beer and received them. We finally quit talking with our waitress and engaged the waiter in training. !!!!READ THIS!!!! Kendra behind the bar is without a doubt five stars and worth a visit, knowledgeable, professional, a true mixologist, and funny too! The food was absolutly five stars from the kitchen, to a point. Here is a picture of the nail that was in my salad. Having worked in food service years ago at a store owned by the same parent company, we were required to wear gloves, and to my knowlege this requierment has not changed. My frusrtation is with management. It is unfortunate the manager was out of town as the standard for this restaurant is far above this experience. I would, however stear clear of the O'fallon's Longhorn. I was quietly offereed a free app on a $150.00 meal. It wasnt what was offered that upset me, it was the manager continuing to walk to the front door instead of turning around to address the issue in the kitchen. He then told me it was his first night. While that may be true he must be greater than 60 years old which tells me he knows how resataurants work. Be good, be honest, and give more tham you recieve I wish the best for all. read more

The grilled corn was the star of the show for me this time. I strongly suggest giving it a try. I would say the strawberry pecan salad was more desirable than my mixed green salad. A below average meal. Service was excessive swivels slow and twice I almost left, just didn't want to go find somewhere else to eat. It took more than 20 minutes before anyone showed up at my table and then that was just to get a drink order. My regular ribeye had so much seasoning that it was nearly inedible. I had to use the knife to scrape most of it off and I still could only taste salt and pepper. 10 minutes after eating and I still cannot taste anything due to the heat. Of course I should have sent it back, but that wouukd have required a waitress. At a restaurant, the primary judgement is food. The baked potato was good, the salad was good, even the bread was good.
