We had an amazing night out on Main Street tonight. We stopped in at Q and immediately got seated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was live music and our server was attentive and kind.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Makes for a great atmosphere![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was all cooked well and hot and fresh. Could have used some salt, but overall very impressed and would definitely return for a drink and a bite next time we're down on Main! Edited: for spelling mistake

    Mmm, toasted ravioli.

My "Q" review. Quintessential is a keeper. We had a party of 6 and 6 people are harder to please, but Q earned rave reviews on the food from everyone. Prices were fairly reasonable, you can spend a lot or a little. Our friend ordered the 14 oz strip... and at $40, you have to hope it's good. It did not disappoint and was cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the Quintessential Chicken with risotto and it was phenomenal and moderately priced at $19, but some entrees were even as inexpensive as $11... so something for every price point. And EVERYTHING was great. Our friend said this has to be the best restaurant on Main Street. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

Great place for a more contemporary dinner and drinks on a more traditional main street historic river town setting. I like the upstairs open air area, as well as the first floor. During Covid we got a seat in the front window far away from anyone else. Great place to people watch and the food / drink is pretty tasty as well!

    Short Rib Nachos

Although we have passed this restaurant many times, we tried it this past Friday. We loved it. One dish in particular blew us away. Their short ribs nachos are outstanding. The serving size was so large that we took over half of it home. My husband loved their hamburger and home made French fries. I loved my salad and fried Brussels sprouts. We will be back! Oh! Our server was outstanding. They had an area closed off and she opened it so we could sit by the window.

Worlds freshest Margarita that's probably just mix and tequila.

I like Quintessential forMorning Mimosas on Sundays on the rooftop when it's most peaceful and serene. The staff is very attentive.

Emily was our server and she was so nice. 40~ min before the kitchen closed and the rigatoni alla vodka was going to put me in a chokehold but I'm saving it for next time! The prices were not bad at all for what they were offering. Got salmon skewers and the seafood risotto. Both were excellent! I'll have to come back since it was way past my bedtime. The rigatoni is still calling my name. Street parking is almost always nonexistent but there's ample parking in the back towards the river. Very cozy ambience with real flame candles everywhere and mirrors galore. You'll never be able to say you didn't see you had some spinach in your teeth.

They no longer have Chicken Marsala, much to my companion's dismay. He opted instead for Spicy Shrimp pasta. It looked and smelled amazing. He said if Chicken Marsala was a 10, the shrimp dish was a 5. He ate it because he was hungry and he's not one to fuss. I thought the sauce looked broken, but maybe it was supposed to look chunky? At the bottom of the bowl remained a pool of oil. Ick. (See photos) I got a flatbread with gf crust (special order). The server said it had a mascarpone roux, and I appreciated his alertness. I took a pill before eating. The pizza crust was tender and flavorful. It needed another 3-4 minutes in the oven as the middle was doughy. The squash and cheeses made for warm, gooey comfort food. After one slice, the cheese was too much for me. If you say the cheesier the better, this is for you. Or share with several friends and consume a fitting beverage. I'll go back and hope for a better outcome.

The restaurant is homey with deep booths, generous portions, and a great price point. They had a decent selection of wine and I distinctly recalled the steak was really good. While it was a touch overcooked it still was incredibly tender and flavorful. Their wine pours were generous. The staff was a bit hit and miss. Upon entering the hosts stared at me like I stepped off an alien spaceship. They just stared saying nothing. I tried to engage in conversation to break the ice and that didn't work. Finally they asked where I wanted to sit - bar or booth - and then was seated. Our waiter was uncertain but enthusiastic. It kinda was a charming combination as we had no time demands. He was trying his best and we gave him grace and space. Had a great time here except for the initial oddness.

When we arrived, the staff at the front desk seemed short with their responses and gave the impression they didn't want to be there. We were seated in a booth near the kitchen, and there was a strong odor that smelled like dirty, wet rags. There were also several bugs flying around our table, which made for an unpleasant dining experience. The restaurant itself looks nice inside, and although there is construction going on outside, they are open for business. As for the food, it was very disappointing. We ordered the Philly egg rolls, Caesar salad, Chicken Parmesan, and mashed potatoes, and none of the dishes met our expectations. Everything lacked quality and flavor, especially compared to our previous visit. To make matters worse, I became very sick after leaving the restaurant. This was the only meal I had eaten that day, so I strongly suspect something I ate was the cause. While I can't say with certainty what made me ill, I hope the restaurant looks into its food handling and preparation practices so that no one else has a similar experience. It's unfortunate because we really enjoyed this restaurant the last time we visited. Based on this visit, however, we won't be returning unless significant improvements are made.
