I never thought I'd be rating a Bob Evans location 5 stars ... but here we go. We were staying at the Drury Inn next door (new house + renovations) and this place is right next door to it. We had low expectations (in our mind, Bob Evan's is Denny's or iHop adjacent) but we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was GREAT! This BE's is cute, spacious and immaculately clean. Our waitress was an angel (very soft spoken but came by quite a few times to check on us), and the food was really good. The fruit was fresh, the pancakes were fluffy, the chicken tenders were crispy, etc. Plus there's lots of cute goodies to purchase in the front, like a mini store. I'm sure we will be back, to this location specifically. We have not had such luck with the Lindbergh location. read more

We ordered door dash today of Bob Evans because I just got back from a trip and no food to cook and was tired! So my daughter DID NOT get her eggs and bacon at all. My French toast looks and taste burnt! And the sausage patties taste disgusting! No powered sugar on my French toast. This has happened like 3 x of ordering them! Usually a good experience when dining in at Valley Park store. Delivery not so much. Ordered two turkey/dressing dinners. One with carrots and one with green beans. I arrived around 7:00 pm Saturday, 9/28. I was by myself. No one waiting ahead of me. I was told there would be a few minutes wait, which I was ok with. After sitting there around 5 minutes, a party of 2 walked in and was greeted and seated immediately, while I was ignored. Bob Evans has got to be the very best place I've eaten in a long time. I am currently on vacation and I have never ate at a Bob Evans before and this has me wanting to come back! I had the Turkey dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberries, and rolls. It was so good! The staff is very polite and well trained. The establishment is well maintained and is very clean and very welcoming. The little things you can buy out front by the register is very cute and not very expensive. We have ordered curbside pickup breakfast here recently. We usually dine in but thought we would try carry out. All three curbside experiences have been negative. Each time they have forgotten items. The third time I didn't drive away and checked the bag and the Biscuits and Gravy were missing the gravy cup. I don't understand why it is so challenging to double check the order! So frustrating to have to walk back in the restaurant to fix and defeats the purpose of a quick service option. read more

If I could, I wouldn't even give this place a star. We ate here while in town because we could walk there from our hotel. We would have been better served getting fast food. The service was terrible and the food was horrible. I had pot roast, and there was probably 2 small edible pieces of meat. Otherwise, it was all grease and fat. The most disgusting thing EVER. Pretty good option for a good meal, especially if people want different things. Don't skip the gravy, its amazing. While I have had a few hiccups when I have ordered here the past 3 times, I'm still happy with the selection and ability to add in alterations to my meal. The 3 course option is the best when I want a little more food, and allowing fruit as a dessert is genius! I wish the lunch and dinner entree options on the app would allow sourdough toast when ordering. I think right now it only allows rolls or biscuits. It has your standard fare of eggs, sausage, muffins, etc... for breakfast. salads, sandwiches, burgers, etc... for lunch, and pasta, seafood, burgers, etc... for dinner. I had a garden harvest omelette ($8.50), is a huge 3-egg omelette, which had a tasty combination of spinach, tomatoes, and onions. The portion-sizes are way too large--almost 2x. I just went to Bob evens with my boyfriend and child. IT WAS HORRIBLE! All the good came out cold. And the hash browns were freezerburned. This is a good chain restaurant for breakfast, whether you're traveling or just looking for something casual and consistent that beats IHOP, Denny's, Waffle House, and the like. The menu is classic American with good portion sizes. The prices are fairly middle of the road as far as restaurant breakfasts go. The customer service is decent and the bathrooms are clean. They do have lighter options, but First Watch beats this place for the health conscious, hand down. You'll also probably find a more interesting menu at a local cafe (take a look at The Shack in Valley Park). read more

We follow the coupon trail. Gotta love the chain restaurants for that! If you join Bob Evans email list you will recieve periodic deals on line. This week we recieved a BOGO offer, making it our Saturday morning destination. I had the "Rise and Shine" $7.49 2 eggs(OM), well done bacon, well done hash browns, and well done toast. It all came out perfectly as ordered! I find I need to make these requests at all restaurants. If I don't , I get hash browns that come out on the white mushy side and bread barely toasted. Making these requests fall on deaf ears quite often. Today they heard me. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs $8.79. 2 (fresh out of the oven) biscuits arrived with the meal along with the honey bear. I ordered Hot Tea $1.99. I mention this, as I find that a very reasonable price for a basket of assorted teas. Earl Grey, English Breakfast, and Green Tea packets. A stainless thermal of hot water and a pitcher of cream was brought to the table. I enjoyed having all the tea I wanted without having to ask for more hot water, and being able to try different varieties. Service was friendly and efficient. read more

This was my first and last visit. The hashbrowns (and replacement home fries) were both burned and raw. Some portions were burnt to a crisp and the rest were raw and cold. The service was ok. My boyfriends steak was so tough and terrible he made a growling dog noise to chew through it when the steak knife failed. The woman sitting beside us took off at a full run 5 times through the restaurant (up and down rows of tables) to chase her toddler escape artist. Management and server staff has taken a giant step backward. Had a server named Kelli. She triple sat her tables with us. Then proceeded to bus her 5 dirty tables, take 1 order, disappear, and reappear to have a long conversation with a table of her friends. It's not much of a secret what you get when you go to a chain restaurant, especially Bob Evans, but I really do enjoy going here. Part of what I like is the proximity to my house. It is only about five minutes away and can't eat anywhere closer unless it is my own kitchen (or my neighbor's.) I've had many of their menu items, but my absolute favorite is the biscuits and gravy and it has been for many years. I'm about as fanatical with my sausage gravy as I am with my nachos. It is always so flavorful with a great consistency. Their biscuits are always warm and moist. I don't think I have found a gravy that compares at another restaurant, well maybe Rooster. Other items I've had have been so so. Their take home dinners are really good though and also a good value. It is nice to order before I leave work and pull up at the side door and take it home. They have great home fries and coleslaw. Kids eat free on Tuesdays, so that is also a bonus. As for service, it is generally decent, but we are really low maintenance when we dine here. But they are always friendly and have never messed anything up. So to sum it up, great location (for me), great prices, awesome gravy, decent service. read more

If I could give this place a zero, I would. By the it does not mean all locations are the same but this location definitely deserves a zero. I had high hopes for this place, after seeing many commercials about how good breakfast is at Bob Evans, I definitely wanted to try, though my wife was a little hesitant but I convinced her to give it a try. To my disappointment, nothing was good. First, we ordered two farmers choice breakfast, a crepe and French toast, coffee and sweet tea. I was ready!!!!!!! However, the potatoes were undercooked, soggy, no crispiness. The sausages were undercooked also, the crepe was drowning in strawberry sauce, the French toasts were soggy, just a bad experience over all. I feel people who go to Bob Evans don't know much about quality of food nor do they go for taste, I feel they go just to fill themselves up and don't care much about taste. I personally will not be giving this place another try, however people are free to make their own judgment and try for themselves. read more
